The Oscars, the greatest, most prestigious and most glamorous ceremony of all, gathered actors, directors, producers, costume designers and every hidden worker in the cinematographic industry for a moment of celebration of their art. Like every year since the ceremony that had awarded Cate Blanchett or Daniel Day Lewis, you stood by Chris’ sides and attended the shows with him for a moment of joy, creating happy memories.

This year’s ceremony - which wasn’t such a catastrophe - nothing changed between the dozens of photographers yelling out your boyfriend’s name, to the many laughs thanks to the host and the dinner held by the Academy, it was a blast and there you were enjoying the after party with Chris and some of his friends.

Even if you weren’t working in this environment quite tough, you were always enchanted to meet more people working behind the scenes of a movie that worked so well. The Vanity Fair Oscar parties represented moments of different encounters, sometimes either awkward or very interesting, but what you enjoyed most was having Chris next to you and telling you how much you looked gorgeous, wanting to introduce you to everyone he knew there.

Standing next to the bar with him in your sophisticated gown, your red lipstick outrageously showed off as you carried a flute of champagne close to your mouth and you noticed the way his beautiful blue eyes lingered on your lips and how his eyebrow raised so lustfully each time, your body would brush past him. The late evening consisted of quite sexy exchanged glances, stealing kisses and soft skin contacts that drove him crazy the whole time.

- eddie is planning EVERYTHING

- richie gets basically no say, otherwise it would all be 90′s rave music and people wearing fancy dress and eddie is having none of it

- bev is the maid of honor and all the boys are groomsmen

- eddie and bev spend months planning everything together, finding the perfect venue and flowers and decorations

- eddie drags richie along to pick out the menu, which he is very excited about, and eddie has to scold richie in front of the other couples not to pick any junk food

- “everyone likes burgers and fries eddie”

- “not at a wedding, richard!”

- eddie’s suit is white with black detailing and a black shirt, because according to richie he’s the ‘wife’

- richie gets a completely black tuxedo with a white shirt so they match

- eddie makes the colour scheme black, white and yellow so he can have sunflowers down the isles and yellow banners and balloons in the dining hall at dinner

- that means bev gets to wear a beautiful yellow sundress and when eddie shows it to her she bursts into tears

- richie makes the boys each wear something yellow to make eddie happy

- bill gets a yellow tie, stan wears a yellow bowtie, mike wears a muted yellow dress shirt, and ben wears a yellow belt

- eddie and richie don’t have seperate bachelor parties, just the one, and bev is invited so all the losers are together before the big day

- richie gets shit faced and ends up spilling how much he adores eddie and that he can’t wait to marry him tomorrow…to eddie

- “does he realise he’s talking about me?”

- “just let him have his moment”

- the next morning bev and eddie get ready together and eddie is shaking and constantly having to use his inhaler because he’s so nervous

- richie is shitting himself and trying to remember his vows whilst the boys help him get ready

- he’s also super hungover and tries not to vomit when he leaves for the venue

- richie stands beside the boys as they wait for eddie, everyone’s families being there, and his hands are shaking more than usual and bill has to pat his back to calm him down

- “what if he doesn’t show up?”

- “shut up, he will”

- eddie walks down the isle with bev and everyone’s already crying because both of them look so damn beautiful

- richie can’t help but kiss eddie the moment he’s close enough, catching the vicar off guard

- “sorry, couldn’t resist”

- eddie gives his vows which is a long, poetic paragraph of when he fell in love with richie and it reduces everyone to tears

- richie forgot what he was initially going to say, and panicked before eddie held his hand and smiled at him, and he just spoke from the heart

- and eddie sobbed

- “can i kiss him now?”

- richie picks eddie up bridal style and almost runs down the isle to their car that’s taking them to the reception

- “can we stop off at the hotel first?”

- “no! we need to go and have fun!”

- “we can have fun at the hotel, especially now you’re my husband”

Happy AkuRoku Day! ♥ I actually wrote a completed one-shot for you guys this time! All fluff and afterlife feelings, so I hope you enjoy!

They didn’t go out and watch the latest superhero movie. They didn’t make a reservation at that one restaurant they both like, which didn’t always have the best entrees but always had a decent bread basket and that sea salt cheesecake they could never say no to. They didn’t do anything the couples magazines told them to do–flowers, jewelry, scented candles, a new dress and suit, some ludicrously expensive gold-leaf and champagne infused candy from that one store that opened downtown.

They were both thankful for that.
