Turtles and Tortoises are the most threatened group of vertebrates on Earth, with over half of all their species threatened with extinction. Earth Day is a time to demonstrate your support for the protection of our planet and its environment. We at the Turtle Conservancy strive to ensure the protection of the small, often forgotten creatures on our planet. Turtles and tortoises are representative of the larger extinction crisis. They are a group of animals that has survived since before the Dinosaurs and they are now in trouble because of human impact. As an international organization we bring together people from all over the globe who are passionate about conservation. Only by cooperation will we be able to unsure that these animals and their habitats will be around for future generations.
