by, like, everyone at this point
Note; Well this was a journey  😄 Also, not the best ending, but by this point I’ve been working for about 12 hours (pretty much straight) on this damn thing  😄 Oh, and here’s part 1 in case you haven't read it yet!

“God, how does Que put up with these things?” Alex groaned as she kicked off her heels, bringing her knees to rest under her chin. From the corner of my eyes, I caught sight of the hem of her dress sliding higher up her thigh, and it took all the strength in me not to just pull over and fuck her senseless.

Alex seemed to read my mind, a small grin flirting on her lips, “I’ve got you good, haven’t I?”

“Wait, you knew what you were doing?” I turned to her for a mini second.

Nodding, her giggles sent my heart racing as she hid the ever-growing smile behind her leg, “Why do you think Que let me borrow this dress?”

My mouth worked but I had no words.

Knuckles turning white, I gripped the wheel tightly, trying to push past my feelings and focus on the road. But Alex just loved making this hard for me. Ever so gently, her fingers danced along my arm, goose bumps forming on the skin as she grabbed my hand. She brought my hand to her lips, taking her time to kiss each knuckle. I inhaled sharply as she guided my hand up her bare leg, the tips of my fingers brushing along the hem.

Just a few more minutes.

We hit the woods at the edge of the city. The sun was already beginning to set, snippets of the pink and orange sky filtering through the clusters of tall trees. Alex rolled down her window more, letting the warm summer air into the car. It would have been romantic, if I wasn’t so God damn desperate.

Once I thought we were deep enough into the woods that no one would find us, I pulled over into a familiar lay-by overlooking a picnic area with a large lake. Cutting off the engine, we both unbuckled ourselves. I reached over to Alex, totally ready to drag her into my lap, but she didn’t seem to think the same. Instead she flashed me a smile before getting out the car.

Closing my eyes, my head fell against my chair as I took a deep breath through my nose, trying to compose myself. I swear she was trying to kill me.

I slammed the car door shut, walking across the grass towards Alex who sat on an old picnic table. Soft sun reflected off the water, casting a warm glow on her face.

Joining her on the table, I opened my arm for her. Instinctively, she curled into me, the little peck she pressed against my neck sending tingles down my spine. Her head fell onto my shoulder, small wisps of hair tickling my nose as I kissed the crown of her head.

“It’s really pretty here,” She mumbled softly, smiling at the small group of ducks swimming around the far end of the lake.

“You know what’s prettier?” She shrugged, “You.”

Her whole face blushed an adorable shade of red as my lips brushed the sensitive spot behind her ear, nipping at the skin to make her laugh, “Shut up.”

The ducks started quacking in the distance, the leaves on the tree rustling as the wind passed through them. It was quiet out here. It felt nice to get away from the loud city, even if it was only for a few hours.

“Granddad used to bring Aaliyah and me out here every summer,” I blurted out, not really sure why, “He would try and teach us to fish, but we were more interested in climbing the trees. I haven’t been here in so long.”

“We could bring our own kids here in the future. Maybe not to fish, but for like picnics or something.” My laughter caught her attention. Her grin growing as she turned to gaze up at me with dreamy eyes.

I couldn’t help but smile back, “I’d like that.”

——————–

Standing in the middle of the school foyer, Dorian took a moment to stare up at the giant piece of fabric hanging from the ceiling.

The school colours stared back at him. LETS GO ROYALS jumped out, painted in red with a gold outline. Someone had even added red and gold sparkles, causing the banner to shine in the light of the school foyer.

The big game was in just a few days, and already the school was abuzz. Banners were being hung all over - in the hallways, classrooms, and especially around the front of the school - despite the fact that they would all have to come down for the game.

Dorian smirked as he walked by a banner that had been made just for him. “YOU HAVE A GOALIE, BUT WE HAVE A PRINCE!” Prince. A suitable nickname for the star goalie of the Royals. Everyone loved to say he was the best goalie they’d ever had, and if he was being honest with himself, he kind of was. That said, even he would admit the nickname was a bit much. Some girls came up with it his freshman year, and it stuck ever since.

“They sure love their hockey.”

Dorian looked to his left, pulling his lips back into a smile as Chaol stepped up next to him.

Bellamy is looking for a new apartment, finds Clarke and things are not real enough for his tastes.

Bellamy wasn’t even sure why he went looking on Craigslist. The last time he had tried to look for an apartment to rent, he had to squeeze through the bathroom’s window and go down the fire escape because the owners weren’t taking a ‘no’ for an answer to their threesome offer.

Miller had nearly pissed himself from laughing so hard.

But, well, Miller was moving out to live with Monty, and Octavia had been a permanent resident of Lincoln’s condo for well over three months now, and there was no way that Bellamy was going to sleep on Raven’s couch.

Not that he had anything against her couch – it was a pretty comfy couch – but Raven and Gina were in an on-again off-again relationship and it was already awkward enough with him and Gina being exes and still working together.

So Craigslist it was.

“A Boy and His Socks”

The room around them was bustling with the sounds of buser’s carrying dirty dishes and, servers checking their tables. Felicity dragged her finger along the edge of her half empty water glass while Sara’s voice drifted softly around the space around her.

“Hey if you’re going to ignore me then we can just skip the monthly lunches and go back to skyping when I’m in the calling area.”

Felicity’s eyes slipped down to the wrinkled table cloth while she smiled shamefully. “Sorry Sara I was just daydreaming…” she admitted as Sara’s chest deflated before her downcast stare.

“What caused the daydream?” she asked almost cautiously which made Felicity’s eyes snake upward.

“You asked about my summer and, well I guess I just sorta got sidetracked,” Felicity hiccuped absently while Sara’s fingers inched toward one of her untouched French Fries.

She giggled at first thinking her thoughts had swerved toward her once again burgeoning romance with Oliver. Felicity saw the sassy smile and, the devious wink displayed over her very interested face. “Oh so are you saying you were daydreaming about Oliver?” she finally managed to chuckle between her small swallows.

Felicity’s head shook easily as her friend’s easy laughter filled her soul with happiness. “Oh sweetie my daydreams of Oliver leave me feeling far more than distracted…”

Sara nearly choked on her fry when she sputtered, “I can’t believe you just alluded to your sex life!”

Before I could open the door my body froze which caused Negan to almost knock into me from behind. Not that I would be complaining about that if he did.

Turning around to face him I opened my mouth but quickly shut it again.

Unable to form the words spinning in my mind. How can I explain that I don’t want him to gloat at what was about to happen. Just because I wasn’t fighting him on it didn’t mean that I agreed with it, that I wanted him to to do it.

Truth be told I don’t think he really wanted to do it either. I think he just did it because he had to, if he didn’t he wouldn’t be in charge for long and he wouldn’t be protected, he wouldn’t be able to protect all of the people who he does. Including me.

“What is it doll?” His face softened while I was stuck in thought “Just spit it out y/n” he always knows.

Haha, I love the idea of Killian having to watch Emma flirt with someone to get information out of them. The only way it would be funnier is if Charming had to watch too ala his rage at Emma's engagement/totally missing where Killian said monster back in S3.

Killian punched out *himself* for kissing Emma, so yeah, he’d have no chill whatsoever about watching her flirt with another pirate.

“Princess,” he hissed, his fingers circled tight around her arm, “What are you doing?”

Emma smoothed a hand down the front of her bodice and pushed her shoulders back, noting how her breasts were now as prominently displayed as the other women in the tavern. Killian’s own eyes had dropped to the swells and two spots of colour appeared high in his cheeks while his jaw clenched.

“You said it yourself, he won’t trust any of the men if they try to approach. Well, I’m not a man, so I’ll go talk to him and get what we need.”

His gaze flew up at that, mouth dropping open for a moment before he sputtered out, “You most bloody well will not!”

The crew had their backs tactfully turned from the argument in the corner but Emma could see the money changing hands as they started to wager on whether or not she could succeed in beguiling the other captain into giving her the information they needed. It only strengthened her resolve and made her all the more determined to succeed.

“If I didn’t know any better I’d say you were jealous.”

Killian’s eyes narrowed and he was grinding his teeth so hard he could probably crack open a walnut between them.

“Of that ponce? Hardly.”

She tucked her hair behind her ears and put a little more sway into her hips as she crossed the floor towards the man in the red jacket, watching as he noticed her and leaned back in his chair with a grin while he swept his gaze over her from head to toe. His smile grew even wider and he invited her closer with a wave of his hand.

Killian had retreated into the shadows, but Emma saw the flash of silver at his hip as his hand rested on the hilt of her sword while she batted her eyelashes and began her seduction of his rival.

Yeah…y’all are going to want me to write more of this, aren’t you?

She knew Max wasn’t perfect — hell, nobody was — but she still didn’t understand why Harry couldn’t just respect her and her relationship. “And he has a lot of redeeming qualities, might I add. He makes me laugh, he knows when I’m upset and just what makes me feel better, he is loyal and honest, he doesn’t—”

“Respect you?” Harry cut in, raising a brow.

I’m even of the camp thinking Yousef isn’t* out there making out with Noora. Like this show is all about misdirects so it could be that he’s doing something completely different. But honestly, I’m just tired of Sana having no one to turn to and no one is 100% honest with her. She doesn’t get to feel comfortable around people.

Like she has to spell it out for people which is where the problem lies because where to begin?!

Can Elias and her just have all the heart to hearts from now on? He’s the only one 100% in her corner.

I was shy and intimidated by my first day in middle school, but she wasn’t the least bit nervous.

He scanned through the crowd with intense eyes and finally, he spotted the black haired girl at a table in the corner of the bar. Immediately, he pushed his way through the dancing crowd.

He gave her a soft pat on the shoulder, calling out to her. Slowly, she turned to him and smiled sheepishly at him.

“You’re finally here…” her voice shook a little, “…let’s have a drink!”

“No, you drank enough,” he took the empty shot glass from her hand, grabbed her arm and started pulling her up from her seat, “so let’s get you back home now. ”

She shook her head and whined in a slurred voice. She tried to push him away but she was far too drunk. Sighing, he slung her arm over his shoulder, wrapped his arm around her waist and brought her out of the bar, all the way to his car.

He opened his car door and helped her into the front seat. He took a look at her sleeping face for a moment before leaning in to fasten her seatbelt, his fingers accidentally brushed against her side.

Her brows twitched at his touch and her lids drifted open to half-mast. She fixed her gaze on his face. The face she would find in crowds. The face she could not go on a day without thinking of. The face she could not possibly forget. Unconsciously, she gripped his shoulder and opened her mouth,

“…I love you.”

It was a mere whisper, but it was audible enough for him to hear and to freeze in place. He turned to meet and hold her gaze.

“You’re drunk.”

She tightened her grip on his shoulder and pulled him closer to her,

“And that’s exactly why I have the courage to tell you that I love you,” she said, giggling between hiccups,

“And my feelings will remain unchanged when dawn breaks,“ her voice noticeably changed, growing quieter, more serious as she spoke before she gave in to sleep’s powerful pull,

“I love you all the same, whether I am drunk or sober.”

Pairing: Fratboy!Jung Hoseok x Reader

Summary: When you were maddeningly in love with your best friend/fuck buddy, bringing him as a date to a wedding was probably not the best idea.

Genre/Count: Smut & Fluff [ NC-17 ]   |   11.7k words

Note: alkewrjaer so excited to finally post this after sitting in my drafts for years. meet m’boy fuccboi!hoseok.

It was never a good idea and you should’ve stopped it from the first time, or the first week, the first month, before it went too far. But you didn’t. You were sucked into his world and him into yours. Although your lives were entangled from the very beginning, it was never meant to go this far.

Hoseok pushed himself into you again, feeling the tightness wrapping snugly around him as he released a low groan of pleasure. “Fuck, you feel so good, always so good.” He buried his face in your neck as you twisted your fingers into the soft strands of his chocolate locks. He growled and thrusted into you over and over, bringing you to the edge. “Babe, shit. Goddamn, you’re so tight. Pussy always so good for me. Only for me.” He jerked his hips particularly hard, hitting that delicious spot inside of you. “Tell me.”

“Only for you,” you echoed in a gasp, head thrown back as your body arched off the bed. His mouth captured one of your peaks. The heat a contrast against the cool of his room. His abs, defined and beautiful, were layered by a sheen layer of sweat as he pounded into you. Moans tumbled from both your lips, swallowed by his mouth covering yours.

“So goddamn beautiful,” he muttered, nipping his way down your jaw and your neck. He knew you hated it when he marked you, hated it because everyone could see. What he didn’t know was that you mostly hated it because it made things more real than it actually was. A whine left your lips as he continued to print shades of blue onto the canvas of your skin. “I’m so close, babe, come with me.”

And you would. You always did, after all. Your fingers found purchase on his broad shoulders as he moved faster, pushing into you deeper and harder. The tension coiled in your stomach as the electricity coursed through your veins and straight to the space between your thighs, space filled by, and only by, Hoseok. The orgasm wracked shudders in your body as you let out a cry, the same time Hoseok groaned into your neck. Heavy breaths heaved your chest as Hoseok pulled out with a small grunt and slumped onto the space next to you.

The two of you laid in silence for a few minutes. The deafening emptiness drawing your fears forward. It always happened. No matter how many times you’ve been in bed with him, you’ve regretted every single one. The two of you were stuck in this limbo with too many questions and not a single answer.

Answers you sought and answers he couldn’t give.

Seattle Rains

Description: A new girl brings rainstorms to Riverdale, and more specifically, more rain in Jughead’s world.

Warnings: none

Word count: 1,844

A/N: I’m sorry I haven’t been writing requests, but this idea popped in my head and I decided to write it.  Hope you all enjoy!

He only saw her when it was raining.  Maybe it was pure coincidence, or maybe it was a sign.

The first time he met her was a rainy Monday afternoon.  It was the first day of their freshman year in Riverdale High.  Jughead continuously announced to anxiety-ridden Archie and Betty that he was not nervous at all.  He would never admit it, but there was a twinge of fear in his stomach as he walked through the doors of his new school.

The day became a blur in his memories, nothing especially memorable occurring.  Except one thing: her.

(Y/N) had just moved to Riverdale from Seattle, so her rainy first day of school in a small town helped her transition from the large city she was used to.  She sat in her last class of the day, English, when the rain began to pour even harder.  Right as the bell signaling the beginning of class rang, one last boy walked through the door.

Jughead knew that, by being late, he wouldn’t get a seat in the back of the classroom that he craved.  There was only one vacant seat left next to a girl he didn’t recognize.  He sat down next to her, slumping in his chair.

“You’re new, aren’t you?” he whispered as the teacher explained the syllabus.  (Y/N)’s head shifted to look at him out of the corner of her eye, shocked that someone had spoken to her.  She had been ignored all day.

“Yeah,” she confirmed his suspicions.  "How did you know?“

"This is a small town,” Jughead answered.  "Everyone knows everyone.“

"Right,” she muttered, turning her focus back to the teacher.  Jughead, however, continued to stare at the new girl.

“I’m Jughead,” he introduced himself.  "Jughead Jones the third.“

"The third?” (Y/N) quietly laughed.

Jughead shrugged.  "Yeah,“ he responded.  A smile grew on his face.  "It’s funny, though, because most people laugh at my name being Jughead.”

“I think it’s cool,” she complimented.  "I’m (Y/N).“

"Well, (Y/N),” Jughead said, “what’s the-”

“Mr. Jones!” their teacher suddenly interrupted their conversation.  "Ms. (Y/L/N)! Please, no talking while I’m speaking!“

Jughead and (Y/N) muttered ashamed apologies, and with a satisfied nod, the teacher turned back to the board.  Jughead shifted in his chair so that he was slightly facing (Y/N).

"I was gonna ask what’s the best burger you’ve ever eaten,” he explained quietly.  "But that’s a stupid question, because I’m gonna introduce you to a burger that’ll put every other thing you’ve ever eaten to shame.“

"Oh really?”

“Definitely,” he smirked.  "Have you ever been to Pop’s diner?“

The rain reduced to a drizzle as Jughead and (Y/N) walked from school to Pop’s.

"You’re sure you don’t need an umbrella?” Jughead asked for the hundredth time.

(Y/N) laughed, “For the last time, Jughead, I’m fine.  I’m from Seattle; I can handle a bit of rain.”

Jughead’s umbrella offers died down after that, and the two quickly arrived at Pop’s.  They entered the diner, Jughead leading her towards his favorite booth. He sent subtle waves towards all the beaming waitresses who greeted him.

“Someone’s popular,” (Y/N) commented as she and Jughead sat down across from each other.

“I come here quite often,” he shrugged.

A waitress approached the table and asked for their orders.  Immediately, before (Y/N) could even open her mouth, Jughead ordered two cheeseburgers.  About ten minutes later, the same waitress carried out two baskets.  She set one in front of both Jughead and (Y/N).  Jughead watched as (Y/N) picked up her burger.

“Are you gonna eat yours?” she asked before she took her first bite.

Jughead shook his head. “Not until I see your reaction,” he said, biting back a smirk.  (Y/N) shrugged and nonchalantly took a bite.  As her tongue registered the beautifully charred beef mixed with the freshly melted cheddar, topped with refreshing tomatoes and lettuce, Jughead broke out into a grin.

“This is so good,” she moaned, taking more bites of her burger.

“I told you,” Jughead laughed.

“We’re gonna come back here every day and get these, right?” (Y/N) asked, between burger bites. Jughead’s grin widened.

“Whenever you want.”

Riverdale was rainy for that entire week.  On Thursday, their English teacher assigned their first project of the year, splitting the class into pairs.  As if answering both of their prayers, the English teacher paired up (Y/N) and Jughead. They decided to start the project that night, agreeing to meet at (Y/N)’s house.

“I’m sorry about all the boxes,” (Y/N) apologized as they entered her bedroom.  “I still haven’t finished unpacking.”

“It’s no problem at all,” Jughead waved it off.  “My place is even messier, and I can’t make up excuses about having just moved here.” (Y/N) laughed and shook her head, sitting on her bed.  Jughead chose to remain standing, scanning (Y/N)’s room.  He glanced at her pastel blue walls, the simply-framed windows covered by pale white curtains.  He walked in front of the window.

“I think you brought Seattle weather with you to Riverdale,” Jughead commented, pulling (Y/N)’s wispy curtains aside to look at the rainstorm outside her window.  She rose from her bed and walked over to stand next to him.

“Good,” she muttered.  He turned to face her and raised his eyebrows. “I like the rain.”

“So do I,” he agreed, “but this is excessive.”

“No such thing.”

Even without the project, Jughead and (Y/N) frequently met up.  Whether it be the drive in, (Y/N)’s house, or Pop’s, the two always tried to make time for each other.

A month after they met, Jughead decided to introduce (Y/N) to his other two best friends: Archie and Betty.

It was drizzling on a Wednesday when they met in Pop’s, both Archie and Betty immediately adoring (Y/N).

“You must be (Y/N),” Betty smiled, sticking out her hand to shake.  (Y/N) beamed as she happily shook Betty’s hand.  “I’m Betty Cooper.”

“And I’m Archie Andrews,” Archie greeted, choosing to simply wave at (Y/N) rather than shake her hand.

“I’m (Y/N),” she introduced herself, laughing, “but it seems that you already knew that.”

“Jughead talks about you a lot,” Betty giggled, causing (Y/N) to smirk at Jughead.

“Oh really?” she inquired, and Jughead rolled his eyes.

“She’s never gonna let that go,” he complained to Betty and Archie.  “Thanks a lot.”

The four quickly fell into a casual conversation, (Y/N) fitting into the friend group with ease. It felt like she had always been with them in Riverdale.  Archie and Betty noticed the obvious chemistry between her and Jughead, and throughout the dreary evening, Archie and Betty exchanged knowing glances as they observed (Y/N) and Jughead’s interactions.  Neither of them said anything, but instead, they chose to just sit and watch Jughead and (Y/N) slowly but surely fall in love.

After two more months, Betty and Archie grew frustrated with the lack of progression in Jughead and (Y/N)’s relationship.  Riverdale had grown too cold for it to rain anymore, but the snow, in Jughead’s mind, still counted as rain.  It was only frozen.

He hadn’t seen (Y/N) in a while outside of school, both of them too busy.  (Y/N) became buried under her heavy academic burden, and Jughead grew immersed in his writing.  They hadn’t grown apart, they just didn’t grow any closer, much to Betty and Archie’s dismay.

A bitter and cold February passed through Riverdale, and it was during that month that (Y/N) finally met Kevin Keller.  It had been four months since Betty and (Y/N) had met, and the two of them grew very close.  Not as close as (Y/N) and Jughead, but Betty was definitely (Y/N)’s go-to girl.

“You’re gonna love Kevin,” Betty assured her as they sat in Betty’s pastel pink room.

“If you insist,” (Y/N) smiled.  A light knock on the door caught their attention, and they whipped their heads around to see Kevin entering Betty’s bedroom.

“I finally have the privilege to meet the famous (Y/N) (Y/L/N),” he grinned.

“Kevin Keller,” she laughed. “It’s nice to finally meet you.”

“Likewise,” he said, sitting down next to her.  “God, I’ve been dying to meet you ever since Betty started talking about how cute you and Jughead were together.”

“Together?” she lightly scoffed, playfully rolling her eyes.  “Jughead and I are just friends.”

“And you like it that way?” Betty questioned with a smile tugging at her lips.

(Y/N) hesitated for a split second.  “Of course,” she answered.

“You hesitated,” Kevin immediately noted.  (Y/N) released an exasperated sigh.

“I don’t know,” she shrugged.  “I never really thought about it that way.”

“Well maybe you should start considering it,” Betty suggested.  “I’ve known Jughead for years, and I’ve never seen him look at someone the way he looks at you.”

The rest of winter breezed through, and soon April showers began to roll into Riverdale.  It was the rainiest spring they ever had, but it came to no shock to Jughead.  He stood by his belief that (Y/N) brought the Seattle rain with her.

With spring came more free time for (Y/N) and Jughead, allowing them to begin to meet up more often. Their relationship picked up where they had just left off, except with a small alteration.  Jughead couldn’t quite pick up what had changed between the two of them, but (Y/N) knew exactly what it was.

They sat in her bedroom again.  It was a typical scene, but something was different.  The sun was out for what felt like the first time since they met.  Something had shifted in their relationship, and neither (Y/N) nor Jughead knew how to express it.

“The sun’s out,” Jughead gave his daily weather report.  (Y/N)’s eyes lazily flicked towards her window, watching the beams of light float into her room.

“Yes,” she replied simply.

“I don’t think it’s been sunny since you’ve moved here,” he joked, forcing out a laugh.  (Y/N)’s fingers twiddled with the soft fabric of her bed.  Jughead sighed at her lack of response.  They sat in silence for a couple minutes, Jughead continuing to stare out the window and (Y/N) fidgeting on her bed.  Finally, (Y/N) stood up and crossed her arms over her chest as she ventured next to Jughead.

“It was very rude, you know,” she drawled, earning a confused look from Jughead, “that you made me fall in love with you.  Inconsiderate, really.”

A split second of silence passed as Jughead tried to collect his wits.

“Not what you had in mind?”  He smirked.

(Y/N) shrugged.  "Quite inconvenient, actually.“

"I’m not sorry,” he stated, stepping closer to her. He tenderly placed a hand on her cheek.

“Me neither,” she whispered, her gaze focused on his lips.

Without any more hesitation, Jughead brought (Y/N)’s face towards his and pressed his lips against hers, just a feather-light kiss.  She wrapped her arms around his neck in a desperate attempt to deepen the kiss, like a flower craving the thirst-quenching rain.

“You know,” Jughead disconnected their lips, “I lied about liking the rain.”

“Really?”

“Yeah,” he nodded, smiling.  "I just pretended to like it for you.  I actually hate the rain.“

Could you write something about Lena discovering the existence of the alien bar, so she talk about it to Kara like "Hey, it might be a good subject for an article or something" and she sees that Kara is nervous so she propose to go with her if she wants and Kara have a hard time finding an excuse to refuse so she just... kind of end up with Lena there and everyone recognize Kara and Lena is like "Oh." and explanations ensue because why did the alien device didn't work and all ???

“kara.”

she focuses on her page, doodling mindlessly in the corner of it.

“kara.”

“i’m ignoring you.”

“ignoring me?” lena sounds amused, of all things, and kara scowls down at her page. without looking up, she flicks a paperclip lena’s way and she can’t help but grin when she yelps.

“headshot?”

“centre mass, actually, which you would know if you would look at me.” her tone turns inviting, hopeful. the nicest possible version of wheedling. kara stares down at her paper and wills it not to burst into flame. “kara,”

“lena,” she mimics.

“it was an accident,” lena tells kara, which kara already knew of course, but having a drink spilled down the front of her shirt - and then being photographed by the paparazzi that always slinks around lena - means she’s embarrassed but also incredibly aware of how easily her disguise might be found out. white shirt, meet liquid; kara danvers, supergirl, meet the entire world knowing her identity. that they don’t is another source of concern, and confusion. because sure the drink had been dark but also lena had whisked a coat around her instantly and they’d made it back to her place where she has several outfits.

in lena’s wardrobe.

which she does not remember leaving there - no, well, she does remember it except now that she sees she has left her lucky belt, her second favourite boots, and her most comfortable sweat shirt there… it means something and she’s not entirely comfortable with that.

the idea of dating lena? no problem. the idea of dating a luthor? minor problems, named alex and clark. the idea of dating lena luthor, her best friend of some six months, who still doesn’t know that she’s supergirl? DING DING DING, huge problem.

there’s a soft touch to her hand and lena’s voice, jerking her out of her thoughts with a gentle, “kara?”

“wuh- huh?” she looks from where lena had been sitting to where she is now, standing next to her. “i zoned out, sorry.”

“no, no, it’s alright.” lena takes the seat next to her. “is everything okay at work? or,” lena waves a hand in a small motion that encompasses everything else.

“yeah, yeah, it’s all fine.” kara gives lena her brightest smile and lena nods but doesn’t look away. “i’m sorry, i’m being a bad friend.”

lena shakes her head, lays her fingers on kara’s hand again. she does it so hesitantly, always, and kara likes the way her smile eases when she turns her hand and holds lena’s.

“you’re not a bad friend. just distracted. which is why i thought we could go out tonight. there’s this bar,”

“i really am not interested in a repeat of last time lena,” kara whines.

“which is why we will get my driver to ditch the followers. it’s a hole in the wall, please,” lena asks - begs is more like it, and kara can’t look away from her pouting lip, her wide dark eyes. “you can write, i can drink, it’ll be a regular girls night out. please!”

“ugh. fine! but,” she searches for some kind of argument. “you’re paying!”

“deal.” lena squeezes her hand and kara ducks her head, grins, at the little spark the gesture shocks.

//

“uh, lena,” kara looks properly at the building they’ve pulled up outside and she hesitates. “i don’t think we should go in there. you know, it’s, um,”

“an alien bar, i know.”

kara nods slowly. she had guessed that. she just isn’t sure how much lena had planned this out.

“okay listen when i say this and i don’t mean it in a bad way,” kara tries to find a not bad way to say it but she’s coming up empty so…straight to the point then. “you’re a luthor. they’re aliens in there. i just think, i know how much you’re doing for your image and i just don’t want you in danger or, i also don’t want them to…get scared,” kara finishes softly. lena presses her lips together flat, nods. “i know you, lena. i know how good you are, and that you would never hurt these people, but they don’t.”

“isn’t that what your articles have been for? everything i’ve been doing? i have to test it out sometime.”

“it doesn’t mean you can walk into their bar, lena!” kara snaps. she shakes her head, tries to soften herself, her words, her shoulders, her hands. “this is a place where they can be themselves, without having to worry about that stuff. you have all the bars in the city, lena, they only have this one.” kara widens her eyes pleadingly, and lena nods slowly.

“i- you’re right. of course. i hadn’t thought of that.” lena purses her lips. “you know an awful lot about this place.”

kara grins nervously. she shrugs, happy to play it off on research, only the door swings open on its rusted hinges, music pouring out alongside obviously alien shouting, and all kara knows lena can’t be seen here. she picks her up, moves her into the shadows of the alley.

“hey kara, you coming in?” m'gann isn’t hiding her green tonight. or wasn’t. she looks to the woman in kara’s arms and her skin ripples back to her human form. “you two coming in?”

“not tonight,” kara says quietly. lena doesn’t say anything - she grips tight to kara’s arms, shaking slightly. “we’re gonna head out, actually.”

“call you an uber?”

“that’d be great,” kara nods.

“down the road, you know the pickup spot.” m'gann tilts her head toward lena, shakes her head very very slightly.

kara nods. “have a good night.”

“you too.” after a moment, m'gann adds, “lena,” and she disappears back into the bar.

the noise muffles with the door closed and kara eases away from lena. she urges her gently down the alley, and together they walk side by side down the road to the spot the Uber always arrives.

“i gather you’ve been there before,” lena says finally.

“um. yes.”

lena nods.

the uber pulls up after ten minutes of painfully empty silence. it takes another twelve minutes to get to lena’s apartment building, six to get into the building and up the stupidly fast lift to the sixteenth floor.

“you can come in,” lena tells her, and kara follows her. watches almost desperately as lena toes off her heels, the way she sighs and rolls onto the balls of her feet when she shrugs off her coat. “coffee?” she offers.

“um. sure.”

kara hasn’t felt this uncomfortable around lena since…never. not in this way. not in the horrible, teetering, this-is-the-end kind of way.

“kara,”

“i’m sorry,” she blurts out. “i’m sorry i didn’t tell you, and i’m sorry i broke your alien device, and i’m sorry about how weird tonight was and again, really sorry about not telling you but, but i had reasons, really good ones, and,”

“kara,” lena sighs, and she sets her stupidly expensive coffee pot down on the counter and steps over to her. lays her hands on either side of kara’s face, tugs so she’s looking right at her. “stop.”

kara stops. she stays very still, barely breathing, certainly not blinking.

“you’re an alien.” lena closes her eyes. she doesn’t pull away - if anything, she grips on a little tighter. she’s soft again when she drags her fingers down kara’s cheeks and away. “i understand why you didn’t tell me,”

“i really doubt that.” kara walks with her into the kitchen, pulls open the fridge. she takes out lena’s favourite cheese and, of all things, carrot sticks. sets them on a little plate. she pulls herself up onto the counter and waits as lena makes her coffee. it’s fine, they’ve done this before, this is how it’s supposed to go.

except, she’s never made late night snacks as an alien before. she’s never drunk from a cup as an alien, never eaten her food, never touched her things, never been in lena’s home as an alien before.

“it makes a lot more sense how appalled you were about that device,” lena muses. kara just nods. lena twists a little to face her, almost impeccably calm aside from slight, polite curiosity. “how did you break the alien device?”

kara covers her mouth, not wanting to spit cheese out. she swallows quickly. “zapped it.”

“you release an electric discharge?”

“what?”

“how did you zap it? when you touched it?”

“no, with,” kara stops, horror dawning slowly. lena knows she’s an alien, she doesn’t know that she’s supergirl. “rao help me,” she mutters, tilting her head up so she can look up at the stars.

“pardon?”

“okay.” kara hops down off the bench, backs up several steps. “i’m…yeah, i’m just going to do this,” she says, mostly to lena but a little to herself. “alright. okay.”

she pops open the buttons on her shirt quickly, too fast for lena to see, and peels it open slowly. lena stares.

and stares.

kara shifts her weight from one foot to the other.

“well.”

the coffee pot hisses. lena turns, pours herself a mug and then kara. she sets the mug out on the side and retreats into the corner of the kitchen, leans back against the corner where the two benches meet.

kara moves softly like lena could spook, and she stands opposite her. she sips at the coffee, grimaces. lena pushes the sugar over to her, watches with the same look of fascination as she always has as kara spoons sugar into her mug.

“is that an alien thing?”

“i don’t think so.” kara hesitates, but adds one final spoonful. this time it tastes right. mostly of sugar. “um. not to make this weird night weirder but, uh, you’ll have to sign stuff. now that you know.”

lena nods slowly.

“i…i should go,” kara says. she pours her coffee out into the sink, half drunk, and washes it out. sets it on the drying rack. “i didn’t mean for this to happen, not like,” kara shakes her head. there’s plenty of stuff she wants to say, or maybe just a couple very important things, but lena is still just staring - into her coffee or at kara, it changes - so it can wait. “i’m really sorry.”

“the only thing i can think right now is…i know something he never did.” lena laughs a little, a short sound and not happy. she closes her eyes. “i think you should. because, if that’s my first….my only thought?” she shrugs one shoulder. “i don’t think i’m someone you should be around right now.”

“i’m not afraid of you,” kara tells her. it lacks, completely, any defiance. how strange, for that to be a reassurance. lena doesn’t look like she believes her, if the dark little curl to her lips means anything.

“tell them i’ll sign. i have no interest in seeing the inside of a cell. again.”

kara nods. “i’ll see you soon?”

lena sets her mug in the sink, and disappears into her bedroom. it becomes clear she’s not coming out again. kara tips a little food into the fish tank, makes sure the windows are locked, and locks the front door behind her.

Kiwi: Part One // Kiwi: Part Two // Kiwi: Part Three // Kiwi: Part Four

He woke up to the sounds of the ocean kissing the sandy shore.

He couldn’t remember what time they finally fell asleep the night before. Sleep had already started to overcome him during the last little bit of the night so he hadn’t been fully conscious, but he did remember a few things: stealing soft kisses and gentle whispers, and the sound of her laugh harmonizing with the sound of the waves.

He’d never seen her that relaxed before, and it brought her to a whole new dimension that only made him fall even deeper—it was almost like she was a new person every day. Like she was constantly shifting into new versions of herself.

He turned over in the bed to look at her—she was laying on her stomach, one of her arms resting by her head as the other remained down at her side. Her shoulders were rising and falling calmly with every breath that she took, and it was almost soothing to see her this relaxed—she had this resilient intensity about her all of the time that he couldn’t quite put his finger on, and watching her sound asleep was perhaps the only time that he saw her with her defences completely lowered.

He groaned inaudibly as he gently rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, sitting up in the bed carefully as not to wake her up. As much as he wanted to stay, he needed to get back to the studio to keep working. He slipped out of the bed and padded across the room quietly, and after some debate, he decided to leave her a note. He didn’t want her to think that he was running off, but he also didn’t want to wake her—he wrote her the note and left it on the bed beside her frame, slipping out of the little home and making his way back to the studio.

She woke up hours later, to the beeping of her alarm going off on her watch.
