turk tips

Pro tip

As all the grocery stores up here in NE Florida are already out of water, if you’re staying in place like your girl, try to get a couple 10 lb bags of ice or use the ice from your ice maker at home, grab some heavy duty gallon-sized ziplocks and fill those suckers up. Also bag and freeze filtered water. Any extra ice, store in a cooler or your washing machine basin. Stick the bags of ice in around your foodstuffs in the freezer. When the power goes out, your stuff will stay cold for a little longer and when the ice does melt, you have water to drink and use.

Also, check your insurance policy. Any foods that spoil due to power outages related to the storm, you may be able to claim and get replaced.
