This is why you don’t cheat on me

I was exclusive with this boy until he cheated on me with multiple girls. We happen to be in the same college English class together, and a few weeks ago he wrote this essay about a dream he had where the love of his life stapled a sign that said “Cheater” onto his shirt (it was all fictional).

Well, guess what? The cheater had left his shirt over in my dorm room, so i did the only thing i could do- i returned it to him.

I pinned it onto his door so everyone could see it, and on the back of the paper i wrote :

 “sometimes dreams do come true”

In the spirit and enthusiasm for Tabletop and playing more games at home together, my son Aidan has created a Trophy of Awesome for our home. We found a dance trophy at our local thrift shop yesterday and my son took artistic control in covering the parts he did not like. He covered the words “Dance Competition” with foil and masking tape and wrote “Trophy of Awesome” on the front. The top part of the trophy has a circle that spins, so we printed out pictures of both Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day from the interwebs and taped those to either side of the circle. He is very proud!

For International Tabletop Day 2016 I organised an event for the board & card game club for ladies that I started here in the Netherlands. We always play at our local game store, since they’re very welcoming to us. For this event, I took some old trophies and turned them into Trophies Of Awesome, as you can see.

We played some Fluxx, Love Letter, Munchkin and Ultimate Werewolves. I also bought some random geeky/nerdy little prizes (Star Wars/Avengers/Minions/lego + tabletop trinkets etc.) both for the winners and also for the ‘goodie bag’ that each attending lady received. In the goodie bag was a gift voucher for either 2 small or 1 medium prize, plus a purple die (since that’s in our logo). The store also bought some yummy red velvet cake, which we very much enjoyed. All in all, it was an awesome day with lots of gaming and laughter!
