trom3624 replied to your video: Chris Rodda refutes a chapter of David Barton’s…

shes “debunking” a “right wing” book when she in fact is pretty “left wing”. Barton actually has the original documents of a lot of stuff Jefferson wrote and uses them in his books. I trust him more over a blogger on an anti-Christian crusade.

Listen, genius, having a bunch of documents doesn’t make you a respected historian. David Barton likes to flaunt his obscene collection like it gives him authority, but in reality he’s just keeping tons of documents away from everyone else by hoarding  them in a private collection.

And really, the fact that you said “ Barton actually has the original documents of a lot of stuff Jefferson wrote and uses them in his books” as if this was a unique thing says it all. All writers of history use historical documents.  The question is, is he using those documents accurately, or is he distorting them?

If you actually watch the video, she refutes Barton’s nonsense pretty thoroughly. If you don’t believe her, get some books of Jefferson’s letters and follow along. Most libraries will have them.

Trust me. There’s a reason that any who is actually interested in Jefferson first an foremost, without an agenda, doesn’t spew crap about how he was a fundamentalist Christian who wanted to use the government to support Jesus. Why don’t you give the Thomas Jefferson Hour a looksee and listen to some podcasts with Clay Jenkinson? Historical interpreter Steve Edenbo who portrays Jefferson recently made a comment on Facebook about how he was being misrepresented by Barton.

Bu I’m sure these men who have devoted their life to studying Jefferson are much more likely to be pushing an agenda than David Barton. >_>;
