28.1. They say time heals all wounds, why do mine still seem so fresh?
I smiled while glancing at Robyn who was sound asleep, covers wrapped around her, and a slight pout across her face. Saying I’m the luckiest man in the world is an understatement. Sometimes I wanna smack myself to see if the woman I’m with isn’t a dream.
I had thoughts like these atleast twice a day.
Chuckling softly, I buttoned up the rest of my shirt before slowly making my way to the bed. She was sleeping peacefully and I didn’t want to disturb her, but I know if I don’t wake her up and let her know I’m leaving I won’t hear the end of it.
Tapping her thigh, she stirred slightly and a frown graced her face. Chuckling, I mumbled a low ‘wake up’ which caused her to stir slightly. Kissing her cheek finally got her eyes to flutter open and she smiled lazily at me.
“You leaving?” She pouted, her eyes were half open but she still reached out for me which made me chuckle and shake my head. “Hold that thought.” She immediately hopped out of bed and raced towards the bathroom.
I smiled, heading towards my closet to retrieve my jacket. After stepping over Robyn’s pile of heels I finally got to my jacket and a matching tie. I let my tie hang and just slipped on my jacket since Robyn would usually fix up my tie for me.
