Hettich celebrates double anniversary

It’s not every day that a company celebrates its 25th anniversary of operating in Australia, and even rarer that this coincides with 125 years of being in business.

Yet that’s exactly where furniture hardware leader Hettich finds itself in 2013 as it reflects on more than a century of quality and innovation, beginning in 1888.

Family-owned throughout its 125-year history, Hettich emerged in the Black Forest of Germany when Karl Hettich mechanised the production of components for pendulum clocks.

Fast-forward to 2007 and the management reins passed to Dr Andreas Hettich, the fourth generation of the Hettich family to take the helm of the company, which was by then firmly established as a world leader in manufacturing furniture technology.

Zip HydroTap - The expert choice

This kitchen, designed by Darren James of Interiors by Darren James, was created with the owners’ culinary pursuits in mind.

Because the owners love to cook together, the design incorporates dual prep areas as well as specific wet and dry zones. Essential to its success is the choice of cooking appliances, including the Zip HydroTap Boiling | Chilled.

“Knowing my clients are serious about their cooking, I made sure to specify only the best cooking appliances including the Zip HydroTap. The high-functioning technology and ongoing service make it ideal for a busy working kitchen,” says designer Darren James.

This kitchen features three sink areas – two on the large island and the main sink adjacent to the ovens and pantry. The location of the Zip HydroTap on the rear benchtop is ideal for use during busy preparation times.

Zip HydroTap Boiling | Chilled is now available with an additional Sparkling water option to deliver your favourite chilled sparkling water at the touch of a button. For more information on the range of Zip HydroTaps for your next kitchen visit www.zipindustries.com and request a brochure.
