summer lovin’

word count: 1665

She sat on his bed, legs stretched out, back pressed against the wall, idly skimming some article about some celebrity doing something they shouldn’t have. Shawn sat on the floor beside her strumming together chords and marking things down a spare piece of scrap paper.

It was hot outside, the summer sun beating down on their little town. The stale heat threatened to creep through the window, but the air conditioning was their savior. The cool breeze cascading across the room sent goosebumps up her arms.

Her long legs extended across his mattress and he couldn’t help but look up every few minutes. Her eyes lazily moved across the pages before she looked up at him. She was bored. She looked out the window, to the beautiful summer day outside and wished that it wasn’t so hot.

Then she looked back at him.

“Shawn,” She said patiently.

He didn’t look up from his work, instead, offering a grunt as he flipped his paper over, trying desperately to find any small space to write down the few words that had just popped into his brain.

She threw the magazine at his head.

A New Life

Context: You’re a newborn living with Jasper in your own home…need i say more?

Warnings: None

Jasper was sitting on the sofa in the living room with his head slightly cocked to the side, watching the television intently as the reporter droned on about the murders in the area. You had been watching him for sometime; the way his eyes shifted lazily from the TV to the window every few moments. Standing, you walked over to him, sitting down in his lap.

“What is it, my love?” He said, his Texan accent melting deep into your soul. His hand brushed a strand of your hair behind your ear and gave him a soft smile.

“I was just wondering what was going through that sweet mind of yours.” You said, leaning your head against his chest as he heaved a very unnecessary sigh. He did that often, even though you were no longer human, he still breathed out of habit.

“I was thinking about the murders that are going on, the pattern is too close. It’s most likely another vampire.” He said.

You sat up straight, looking at him for a moment before closing your eyes. Your body stilled as your mind began to expand, looking out over the area that you and him had moved to not too long ago. You saw the trees, the animals, the water near the house. You kept expanding your minds sight until you saw something unusual heading for the border.

“I think that the vampire is leaving the area. It seems to be heading towards the border.” You said, opening your eyes. He was watching you with so much love that you felt it physically hurting your chest. You grabbed at your still heart, looking at him with a smile. “You make my chest hurt.”

He looked at you astonished and grabbed your hand. “I’m sorry.” He said, pulling you into an embrace.

You giggled and snuggled into his skin that smelled sweetly of honey. “It’s not your fault that you love me so much.” You said. He grunted lifting your chin to place a gentle kiss on your lips.

You sighed, smiling at him. “I’ll never get used to this.” You said.

“Me neither. It feels good to finally touch you without restraint.” He said, his hands roaming your body. You relaxed into the new life you got to have with the love of your life.

Rainy’s Electric Charge Spell ⚡

A jar spell to be performed during a thunder/lightning storm to increase one’s energy, motivation, and focus! This can be used for energy at work, school, during magick, or just in general.

⚡ Written by Rainy-Day-Witchcraft

Materials:

  • Jar/Bottle
  • Carnelian and/or Quartz
  • Bay leaf
  • Sunflower
  • Cayenne (either pepper or spice is fine)

Setting up ⚡

During a thunder/lightning storm, collect all of your materials together and plan to head outside. In addition to your magickal ‘ingredients’, also be sure to dress in rain gear or bring a poncho!

A jar/bottle to contain your materials and the spell; this may also be a smaller jar, such as the ones that people use for necklaces or keychains, so that you may carry it with you whenever you need a little energy. Carnelian/Quartz, Bay leaf(s), Sunflower (dried seeds or petals), and Cayenne pepper will be the items you are putting into this jar ~

Once outside with your items: choose a spot that you will be able to see the lightning or hear the thunder, feel the strong winds, and be open to rainfall. The best option is most likely a backyard, but DO NOT work underneath a tree or near a large portion of water, such as a spa or pool, as a safety procaution against the lightning!

Performing the Spell ⚡

  • Before continuing, take some time to sit in that spot and feel your surroundings. Listen to the rain and the deep rumble of thunder, and feel the electricity in the air. Channel your magickal energies down from the power of the storm and allow them to fill your body, creating a visualized glow or static effect around your aura. When you feel ready, go on to the beginning of the spell:
  • Placing each ingredient individually into the jar, chant aloud:

“Carnelian/Quartz (whichever you’ve used) for motivation, energy, and success in my endeavors, and to constantly charge the magickal contents of this jar -

Bay leaf for focus, and to grant me what I wish for -

Sunflower, to give me the energy I call for -

and Cayenne, to manifest my magickal intent speedily and enhance it’s effects with a kick!”

Of course, you may also improvise or write your own words for this, if you’d like to personalize the chant.

  • Transfer a bit of energy into the jar. This may be done through mediation/visualization or physically, such as breathing into it, before quickly sealing the cork or lid. When I had performed this spell, I visualized small sparks of lightning coming from my fingertips to charge the entirety of the jar before I sealed the lid ~ so you can definitely get creative!
  • Now, magickally seal the jar. This may be done with a kiss, with a few final words (such as: “it is done” or “so mote it be!”) and if you feel content with the physical sealing of the jar, that’s fine too ~

And you are done! With the rhythm of the thunder and the storm, shake the jar; mix up those ingredients, enhance their power, and urge them to begin working your magick! You can dance around in the rain while doing this, stomp around on the wet earth, or perhaps sing a bit ~ This would also serve as a grounding exercise, so I do recommend something along these lines!

Now whenever you need a little boost of energy, motivation, or focus, shake up your jar and let the spell once again enhance these things. Littler jars may be held with you and shaking throughout the day, and bigger jars should be shaken in the morning and left in your room or windowsill for the day’s effects ~ With my smaller jar, I find it useful to visualize sparks forming inside while I shake it

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments about the spell here, and I hope you enjoy and find it useful!

➺ Rainy

The flight was long and Charlie was exhausted as he set up camp for the night. He was in a small village in Brazil where the muggles had been sending in reports of rock bubbling to the surface of the water,it seemed to be molten rock. The wizards in the area thought it may be something magical and a friend of Charlie’s from school who lives in Brazil called him.

He set down for the night, he was hidden by the trees but near enough the water that he could set out first thing the next morning.

It was sunrise when he heard the shouts, he threw himself out of the tent and went running through the thick dense trees. Too many horrible thoughts spinning in his head.

“Help, my son, someone!” there was a small group of Brazilian men and boys gathered around the water, they too had been camping in the trees near by. The boy had gone to wash off and his leg had been encased in the molten rock. Charlie slid across the wet grass to the boys aid, using magic to first remove the hardened rock then to heal the burns beneath. Once he could see the boy was unhurt, he obliviated everyone. They all headed back to the village and he waited in the trees until they were gone. Taking deep breaths he reassured himself that he did the right thing and that no one else saw.

Charlie went into his pack and got his gillyweed, he chewed on it until he could feel the air burning his lungs, he then checked the coast was clear and made his descent into the water. The water was far too warm for his liking and with his wand and a tube of tranquilizer in hand he pushed on.

He hoped not to need to use the tranquilizer as if it was a dragon he would probably not survive being tranquilized under water.

He turned a corner and stopped dead in his tracks, drawing back he pulled himself behind a large rock on the waters bottom. He watched as a monstrous being slowly floated by. This was a huge dragon, it was black like coal but with small cracks of red glowing through. The dragon looked like a giant floating ember. After watching, mesmerized, for a few minutes a large, brightly coloured fish swam by. The dragon took a shakey breath and attempted to blow fire. However, it turned to rock and slowly floated to the top as it hardened. The rock held for a few minutes then slowly sunk to the bottom.

Charlie swam down further careful to stay out of view and was amazed by the amount of rock littering the bottom. This was going to take over the lake. Charlie swam to the surface, pulled himself out of the water and headed back to his tent to write for his friends. He was going to need help with this one.

Bastion simply live and wander in the Waterhole Flock territory, but he doesn’t interact much with the Flock. He just love the place because there are a lot of birds in the trees and near the water. Even if he is an herbivore shifter he doesn’t live in the neutral territory because he’s afraid of predators (He can freaking destroy everything ahah) but simply because he love the place and doesn’t bother anyone.
He enjoy the company of birds shifters tho, especially Lúcio because he can go on for hours just mimicking his boop boop sound in a kind of wordless conversation ahaha

TIPS FOR CELEBRATING BELTANE

To Celebrate Beltane

Arise at dawn and wash in the morning dew: the woman who washes her face in it will be beautiful; the man who washes his hands will be skilled with knots and nets.

The fair maid who, the first of May Goes to the fields at break of day And washes in dew from the hawthorn tree Will ever after handsome be.

If you live near water, make a garland or posy of spring flowers and cast it into stream, lake or river to bless the water spirits.

Prepare a May basket by filling it with flowers and goodwill, and then give it to one in need of caring, such as a shut-in or elderly friend.

Beltane is one of the three “spirit-nights” of the year when the faeries can be seen. At dusk, twist a rowan sprig into a ring and look through it, and you may see them.

Make a wish as you jump a bonfire or candle flame for good luck—but make sure you tie up long skirts first!

Make a May bowl —wine or punch in which the flowers of sweet woodruff or other fragrant blossoms are soaked—and drink with the one you love.

Tie colored ribbons to your trees with Blessings written on them:

Traditional,
Red for Love and Passion

White for Peace and Harmony

Green for Good Fortune and Wealth

Purple for Spiritual growth

Yellow for Joy

Or use what ever colors and words have special meaning to you.

Tend sacred wells and springs, meditating on the healing and life giving properties of sacred places and how these reflect the Goddess

Pick hawthorn blossoms

Fill a cauldron or a large bowl with fresh flowers (wildflowers are best)

Braid bracelets out of red & white ribbons and give them as gifts to friends or family

Make a dish of fruits, berries and nuts, leave in the wood for the animals and fae folk to enjoy

Cut branches of fresh green from budding trees, or make garlands of flowers to decorate the home for this celebration. Hang them on the doors and windows early, so the may sunrise finds them there!

Create a special wreath for the top of the May Pole

Create hair pieces and garlands for decorating your head or around your neck from flowers that are in bloom

Hi! I was wondering if you could do headcanons for Otto, if you don't mind? Thanks!

OTTO MY SON! HE IS HERE! I LOVE HIM SM!!

  • Georg’s bffl and literally doesn’t so anything without telling Georg
  • Melchior mocks him and calls him Eddie for no reason. And that confuses the hell out of Otto until he realizes that it’s short for Oedipus and tries to beat Melchior up.
  • Otto’s dad was lost at sea when Otto was 6. His mother became very scared of the oceans while Otto embraced it. He built his own raft and hides it in the roots of a huge tree near the stream. His mother attempts to keep him away from the water but Otto wants nothing but to go out on his little raft.
  • Otto is the oldest child and takes his little siblings eveywhere with him, so he loves the little bits of alone time
  • He actually really likes poetry and Melchior lones him poetry books when he’s done with them.
  • When he finallys gets the courage to, he asks Thea to give Anna a handwritten note stating that he’s had a crush on her since they were little kids playing in the rain in the center of town. Anna laughs and goes right up to Otto the next day, asking him to walk her home.
  • Otto is a literal child but at the same time, kinkshame him.
  • When he was a child, he decided that the tree at the mouth of the river was his tree. He carved his initials in it when he turned 13. His siblings and the other boys at school always look there if they don’t see him out on his raft.
Expect the Unexpected

The title is crappy, but I couldn’t come up with anything really.

Jurassic World one-shot, Owen Grady x FemaleReader

Rated: uh… PG-13, no dirtiness in her folks, sorry, maybe next time

Word Count: 2039 (okay, so it wasn’t a quickie haha)

Based on a headcanon I sent in to im-an-octopus:

“When raptor squad starts bringing scraps to bae, Owen realizes she may be pregnant.”

I wrote this in a day without a beta, so please excuse any spelling errors.  It is definitely unpolished material. Let me know how you like it!

The First Trial

Evalynn moves through the swamps with a determined smile plastered across her face.  She went climbing up one of the many trees near the body of water that held the orange stone she needed to get her hands on. Peering down into the dark waters with her tail curling around the branch she was crouching on she gave a soft excited squeal. This was going to be fun, she smiled to herself, she always enjoyed searching for things and her home showed it with the many trinkets, statues, shiny rocks and coins among other treasures that littered the surrounding area. But the treasure wasn’t the fun part, although she enjoyed seeing the pretty colours all mixed together the real fun part was obtaining them.  So many things in so many places, it was always an adventure to get a new item and she always got one more story to go along with how she obtained whatever the item was.

She shifts her weight on the branch; it was reaching out over the water, a perfect spot really.  Narrowing her eyes to scan the water’s surface her lips tugged into a wider smile, no time like the present. Her tail loosened its grip on the branch and swung out behind her as she moved to get ready.  She had made sure the branch was strong enough to keep her weight beforehand, no use trying to make a cool dive and instead floundering into the water when your diving board snapped under you.  Rolling her shoulders before spreading her arms out she pushed off the branch and was soon falling through the air in what she would consider a -perfect- swan dive, and really, who was there to argue with her?  Her body straightened as she fell, finger tips leading her body downward as she pushed forth her will, energy swirling around her. Normally she used this trick for a pair of golden dove wings, it certainly helped slow falling, but she didn’t want to slow fall right now, if anything she wanted to go faster.  The energy started to form along her bottom half and as her finger tips broke the surface of the water a long stormy blue finned tail, much like a mercreature formed in completion, it looked pretty cool in her personal opinion, what’s the use of having powers if you don’t make them cool looking?

And just like that she was in the water.  She had streamlined her body so there, sadly for anyone that may have been watching, wasn’t a very big splash.  She doesn’t slow her decent in the least, her makeshift construct tail pushing her through the water quickly, helped along by the gravity of her dive. Her eyes open once in the water, third eyelid keeping the murky water from stinging as she dove deeper.  Once she hit the waterbed she peered around for that special stone, making sure not to kick up the dirt and sand on the bottom as she searched.

And… there!

Her hand darted out to grasp the orange stone, clenching it tightly in her fingers as she shifted her body upwards and kicked off to return to the surface the powerful constructed tail making short work of the ascent back up and soon her head broke the surface and she gasped in a breath before laughing to herself, giving a cheerful yip as she admired the stone in her possession before moving to the bank and pushing herself up, the mertail melting away as soon as she was out of the water.  Moving to stand she tucked the stone away safely in one of her many secure pockets and bounded off through the swamp to show Ryska.
