treasure friendship

“There are a lot of things I wish I could’ve seen before.” Dean’s voice gets a little rough, a little too strained for the quaint atmosphere of the bustling coffee shop. “A lot more things I did see but I didn’t appreciate.”

He didn’t get a response, but he could sense the deeper breaths from his coffee companion. Being immersed in darkness for so long made him sensitive to other facts of life. Like how he knew his friend had ordered a hot chocolate, could smell the marshmallows melting. Like how he knew there was a cute girl, with a giggly personality and a love for lavender bath bombs, who stopped by their table frequently as if she couldn’t stay away from them.

What he didn’t know was how they got to this point. They’ve been friends for years and Castiel never brought up Dean’s past, Dean’s loss of sight. It was one of the reasons Dean treasured their friendship. But now… now Dean couldn’t help the disappoint as he continued to talk into the dark abyss that smelled of coffee.

“I wish I would’ve paid more attention to my mom’s smile and my dad’s grin. I wish I could’ve known to memorize Sam’s boyish features. But I don’t. I have nothing to remember my parents except the ghost of their words.” Taking a deep breath, Dean readjusted the cane by his side. The cold metallic feel underneath his fingertips brought him some sense of safety. “I wish I could see a lot of things, Cas.”

Still sitting in silence, Cas shifted in his seat. Taking a soft breath, he finally parted his lips. “I’m sorry that I asked that question. I know that… I want you to know that I really don’t see you as a blind man. It only recently started to bother me.”

And there it was. The statement that made Dean’s face harden into a grimace. That one sentence crushed everything he had built with this other man. “I’m sorry it bothers you.” He couldn’t help the venom dripping from his words. He was halfway on his feet when he heard a hiccup.

Turning his head just the slightest, Dean heard it. Crying. Quiet enough as if Cas was using all of his energy to hold it in. That was not what Dean expected. He found himself sitting back down and trying his hardest to look in his best friend’s direction.

“I-I just…” Cas’ words were breaking, his breathing choppy and violent. “I didn’t care before because… because you were my friend. But now… now I f-fucking fell in love you and you’ll never see me… you’ll never see the smile I get when you walk into a room or know just how much I stare and it’ll never be okay because I want more than anything to have you see the way I love you.”

A single cool tear slipped past Dean’s cheekbone. Without a word, he maneuvered himself from his chair to kneeling beside Cas. With a heavy heart, Dean reached up and took his hand in his own. “Castiel, I don’t need to see.”

Cas sniffled, calming himself. “What do you-“

“I hear every smile you have. I hear every sigh and little gasp from your lips. I don’t need to see you to know that you love me. Just as you don’t need to hear me say it to know that I love you. Jesus Christ, Cas, I…” Without hesitating Dean reached his hand toward the breathing he was so tuned into. His fingers cautiously brush Cas’ stubble. “I love you.”

Dean didn’t need to see to know his friend was smiling. He didn’t need to open his eyes to know that Cas was staring right at him, right into him. And he sure as hell didn’t need his sight to lean forward and press their lips together.

“Let’s get out of here.” Dean whispered against tear-soaked cheeks.

Cas nodded, clinging to Dean’s shirt. “Is it true that sex with a blind person is quite mind-blowing?”

That, that was why Dean loved Cas so much. “You can tell me that answer tomorrow morning, sweetheart.”

Never leave the person...

….who understands you more than anyone else.

Someone who you can talk to about everything
and will stand next to you even with your unwanted attitudes.

Treasure the one that accepts and loves every bit of you.

Ah love.

Oswald and Edward are incredible at being compulsive liars but fail to see each other’s manipulating schemes.

Like… when Oswald had to hide the fact that he killed Isabella; his lying tactics sucked so bad yet Edward fell for it, because he treasured their friendship so much.

And when Babs told him the whole truth about Isabella, he couldn’t believe but decided to give it a try; by telling Oswald he had the desire to be “more than friends”; now the tone was just filled with stutters and flat, his expression emotionaless but either way Ozzie fell for it because of wanting Ed terribly(….my sweet lil bird…)

As a result, Oswald is in fear of losing him, and usually according to comics he doesn’t take rejection very well. But from this little character development, he has acted selfless and just wants his best friend by his side, even though it aches. Meanwhile, Edward never takes it well with broken trust, however that mixed of hurt in his eyes when his back faced Oswald only shows there’s a glimmer of empathy for his feathered friend, no matter how angry he is right now.

These two will mend the scar in their crazy relationship eventually, because despite everything, their feelings with each other have been so genuine, honest and secured. I doubt they can share that with anyone else ever again.

Edward's insanity to Isabella's death=Oswald's insanity to seeing his father's ghost(S3xEp.12)

1. Edward’s love for Isabella=Oswald’s love for his parents, in this episode, Elijah his father.

2. Edward’s distraught expression to Isabella’s corpse=In Oswald’s case, his father’s remains.

3. Edward accuses Butch, tortures both him and Tabitha=Oswald accused Tarquin, kills him.

4. Edward never suspected that Oswald killed Isabella. He was wrong and found out=Oswald never suspecting Edward would dig up his father’s remains or anything like that to him. He’s wrong but doesn’t know it yet.

Conclusively, Edward is not only corrupting his best friend’s mind, he’s making sure Oswald feels all those sorrow that the riddler felt in the Isabella incident. The naive, the betrayal, the treasured friendship broken. Then when episode 14 comes along, Edward finally gets to say, “betrayed by a best friend..hurts like hell doesn’t it? Oh yeah, i felt that before how funny. I told you i would do qnything for you, and killing Isabella is how you repayed me??…i hated you..i hate you for it.” With eyes welling his tears, choked sobs, “but why…underneath it all, i still care for you..”

I’d like to put my two cents in on sherolly. I personally have never liked that ship but have not violently disliked. But after the final problem people seem to think it’s cannon. So I’m confused that intelligent people fail to see how in the scene with the coffin the heartbreak that Sherlock felt in saying “I love you” to Molly because he knew that it would break her when she found out why. Why did his sister make him do that? Molly is one of the few people Sherlock cares about. And forcing Molly to say those words could make him lose that treasured friendship, but not doing so would have put her in danger. There was nothing romantic about that scene, there was no connotation toward it, in the happy end montage she didn’t make an appearance. It was literally a visual “and Sherlock and John lived happily ever after raising their child and solving cases” I don’t see Molly anywhere. I don’t know if they made amends and continued to be friends or she might have refused to deal with him after that and by saying those words out loud for possibly the first time even to her self she moved on finally

(Well, didn’t expect to reach this point. But for whatever reason, I’ve gotten 400 followers and am shocked. So, I figured I’d give a shout out to some great people who made my RP experience grand, a special shout out to two people, some cool friends I’ve made, and people who I adore and mostly watch from a distance)
