My Pictures Of Berlin and the Berlin Wall by Chris John Dewitt

We discovered some special treasures of time documented by photographer Chris John Dewitt. His work is an astounding collection of photographs taken in Berlin in the early 80s before the wall came down.

This picture shown here depicts the atrium of the Martin-Gropius-Bau - one of Germany’s most beautiful historic exhibition buildings - during the ‘Mythen Der Neuen Welt’ exhibition in 1982.

Until the end of the cold war in 1990 the building stood on the border between East and West Berlin at the sector boundary to the East Berlin district of Mitte.

Travel back in time and discover Berlin through Chris’ eyes here.
