Just for fun, here’s a detail of my painting of Mark and the stitching that runs along the contours of his facial features.

When you look at the painting as a whole, it’s hard to tell that the thread is even there. It is only when you get up close that you’re able to really notice it.

2 day long painting assignment, 5 hours of work.

It’s 5.5’ tall and 6’ wide. It’s the first out of a triptych, so when I have the other two done I’ll put them together to make an 18’ long painting.
