A dancer, Peace Corps doctor, public speaker and astronaut, Mae went to college at age 16, holds 9 honorary doctorates and has founded many STEM-related programs for students.

Breaking: Ninth Circuit upholds the stay on Trump’s travel ban

  • A nationwide stay of Trump’s travel ban was upheld Thursday by a panel of three federal judges, effectively blocking the enforcement of Trump’s ban on immigrants from seven majority-Muslim countries as well as refugees from all over the world.
  • The stay does not mean Trump’s travel ban is unconstitutional. Instead, it simply prohibits the ban’s enforcement until the courts determine the legality of Trump’s executive order. Read more (2/9/17 6:30 PM)

Breakfast: Veggie burger (Morningstar Grillers Prime) on 2 slices of bread (Sara Lee 45 cal, wheat) with avocado and 2 slices of pepper jack cheese [673 cals]

Lunch: Amy’s cheddar cheese burrito with avocado [543 cals]

Dinner: Hummus, pretzels, cherry tomatoes. Red wine [475 cals]

I just found out I don’t have to travel Tuesday-Thursday like I thought I was going to need to, so hallelujah. I’ll be able to start getting some real work done, and I’ll have more control over my meals.

I’m at 1,691 calories for the day, and honestly, still feel hungry. My stomach isn’t growling though so it might just be dehydration. Drinking more water is going to be a priority for me this week.
