Half marathon training Day 2
- felt 10x better than yesterday run so !!!!!!
- it was HOT AS SATAN’S balls I legit had sweat in my eyes less than a mile in
- I had a really nice sprint for the last quarter mile
- I was going to run later because of the heat but waiting gives me anxiety for some reason so I’m glad I got it out of the way
- my pace was also almost 3 minutes faster than yesterday’s which just goes to show yesterday I was all outta whack

Remember that results take time. Like learning how to wear makeup, it’ll take you awhile to find what makeup looks best on you, and how to wear makeup but after awhile you find a good routine and you start looking the best. Just like working out. You won't see the results you want right away, but soon enough if you keep trying and practicing you will start seeing the body that you have been dreaming of.

I never thought I could be a runner

I made myself wake up at 8am after a long week at work to have time to go eat breakfast and go run before my best friend arrives for the weekend.

It’s little changes like this that make me realise how I now prioritise running. I can make time for it I just need to get up a bit earlier or make plans a little later in the evening. I’m so excited and impressed at how much my body has changed over the last few months. Knowing that I can go out and run 6K is such an amazing feeling. I can enjoy the sun and just clear my mind from all the shit that has been happening this week.

When I started I couldn’t even run for 5 minutes. Honestly. When I very first started I think I managed about 30 seconds. So please don’t feel discouraged if this is you, we all start somewhere. I was there and I thought there is no way in hell I will ever be able to even run 1K. Then I did, then it turned into 1 mile and then 2 miles. Your body is capable of wonderful things, please treat it well and challenge yourself. If we don’t, we won’t change.
