Today’s run was the definition of rough- just like Wednesday my legs just felt HEAVY and I could also feel a blister forming on my foot, not going to lie it felt pretty damn awful. But I preserved and went for as long as I planned despite the pain. And I’m proud of myself for that. I allowed myself to go slower because that’s what my body needed. Sometimes you have to accept that you feel crappy and just push through it anyways.
5 mile hike + 2 mile trail run + GO ab/cardio workout + stretchinggggg
It is such a gorgeous day!! I already feel super strong and ready for Big Bend! I couldn’t stop smiling on the trail because a week from today I will be backpacking !! My motivation to just work so hard and be in the best shape for this upcoming week is so strong!!
I know you can’t make a crazy drastic change in just a week but half of these adventures are mental so I gotta convince my head that I am strong and capable and gonna CRUSH it, so that’s what this is about more than actually changing my physical fitness, ya know??

Yesterday I had my longest run in over two years- seven miles. For the past two years I’ve been rebuilding myself as a runner, celebrating every seemingly small milestone. I never thought I would see this distance again. With every run I feel more and more confident and more and more like myself. 🏃🏻♀️💜
Thumbs up for being able to run in shorts and a tank top. It was over 60 degrees today in January in Indiana which is pretty crazy so of course I had to take advantage. My legs were pretty sore and i was planning on it being a more chill run but I somehow cranked out a 7:08 first mile which is insane, but I definitely slowed down a lot after that and took a pretty hefty photo break in the middle. Overall I can’t complain though!
Sunday rundays are my favorite, especially when it’s nearly 70 degrees in November. Getting to run in shorts and tank top? No complaints here! My legs were super sore so it was a more relaxed run but I was just thankful for the perfect weather and opportunity to run
