I watched the musical (again) last night and the ending just really fucked me up. In the musical Veronica still loved JD but she can’t because of what they did. In the movie she’s really mad and wants him gone. When JD dies in the movie it’s probably because he feels like nobody loves him anymore and he’s better of dead while in the musical JD trades his life for Veronicas’ and she doesn’t want him to die. That made me really sad. And i’m sad that i’ll probably never see the musical with the original cast on stage.
I’m not in the ml fandom bUT @illustraice ‘s Sun/Moon au has me h o o k e d. Now, I’m no artist so I can’t draw for it (believe me I just tried drawing Mari and I spent more time outlining muscles than anything so that was a lost cause), and because I’m not in the ml fandom and I have no grasp on Mari and Adrien’s characters, I can’t write for it, either. Buuuuut, given what I’ve read for this AU, I can certainly devise a playlist for it. Because music is universal.
Irving and his Oak View partner, Tim Leiweke, are buying smaller music industry trade publications and the article is saying that they are looking to compete with Billboard.
Billboard is known as “the bible” of the music industry, but over the last several years, they’ve become more focused on getting the general public’s attention and readership and competing with magazines like Rolling Stone instead of focusing on serving the industry.
If the supposition about what they’re doing is right, they’ll be creating a publication that caters to the people in the industry (primarily live music and live music venues based on what they’ve purchased so far) and not competing for dwindling magazine market share.
