…..juice is the truth! Simply blend and drink up! No water needed, but optional.
Watermelon is a superfood that is epic for detoxing! Which is why I love it. Detoxing allows us to purge and vibrate higher. It activates wellness and raises our frequency; mind, body and spirit. We come into contact with so many pollutants and toxins in the air and water….let alone through people, energy traps and energy vampires. Detox often, as you continue your life’s journey of vibrating higher daily.
I drink a few glasses daily and will often do a 3 day juice fast with just watermelon juice, freshly squeezed lemon juice added to it and plenty of water in between. Google the many other amazing benefits of Watermelon/juice.
Be love. Be well. -Lalah Delia | VibrateHigherDaily

Witch Tip🕯️

If you have any of these:  Aquamarine, Turquoise, Pyrite, Ruby, Moonstone, Lapis Lazuli, Halite, Garnet, Fluorite, Amazonite, Desert Rose, Gypsum, Talc, Calcite, Angelite, Malachite, Witherite, Cinnabar, selenite, celestine

PLEASE DO NOT PUT THEM IN WATER. The bolded ones are especially dangerous as they release toxins when exposed to water!

as some of you may or may not know, i gave up using single-use plastic water bottles a few weeks ago and ever since then i’ve been refilling my reusable one with filtered tap water and drinking from there

not only are single-use plastic water bottles wasteful, the plastic releases toxins into the water it holds

i’ve been using this plastic brita water pitcher filter and can you believe that it just hit me a few days ago that using it is counterproductive so i’ve been doing a little research on how to filter tap water naturally and without the use of plastic

i think i’ve found the answer and it’s binchotan charcoal ya’ll. it’s an active carbon made from tree branches and it absorbs impurities such as chlorine by attracting the negative ions to its surface. in exchange, the charcoal sends its nutrients (calcium, iron and magnesium) back into the water

i have to find a place to purchase a few sticks but when i do i’ll let you know

Drinking detox water is a simple way to burn fat and feel healthier and one of the best ways to rid your body of harmful toxins. Drinking water daily is a way to flush out toxins, but when adding fruits, it provides more nutrients and benefits!

Benefits:

  • Cleanse Toxins
  • Antioxidants
  • Boosts immune system
  • Weightloss

Directions:

Add all ingredients into a pitcher/mason jar & mix

Store in refrigerator overnight to allow the flavors and benefits from the fruits to come out

Rain Water

Uses for rain water:

- Spells and charms
- Witch Bottles
- Infuse into paintings
- Put some in your bath
- Mix with oils in roller bottles
- Alter offering

Add on if you have uses!

*BUT PLEASE DO NOT DRINK IT!!!!*
There can be toxins in the unboiled water that harm you. Boiling the water is though to take away energy and magick but if you feel like it doesn’t matter to your use then go for it. Just please be safe!

when you wonder why you don’t look like your favorite famous person, read this

they have…

perfectly humidified houses: people who live in overly dry or overly damp air are bound to have skin that reflects either of those things (dry or oily).

weekly or even daily massages: exercising, sleeping, and functioning are all so much easier and more effective when your muscles are loose and toxin-free.

—alkaline water to drink and pure, filtered water to shower/bathe in: in my city, the water is DISGUSTING… the chemicals in it make it barely drinkable, and my skin definitely suffers. remember that superstars have filtered showerheads filtering their already-filtered water that probably comes from their own personal well. and don’t get it twisted… lady gaga is NOT drinking Dasani.

personal nutritionists: yes, famous people usually have someone to cook for them, but they also have people constantly monitoring their vitamin intake, iron levels, potassium, thyroid function, etc. no wonder the most powerful people in the world never seem to get sick.

chiropractic care: there’s a reason why superstars like Beyonce never slouch and always look upright and regal. yes, standing up straight is a habit you form, but that habit is much easier to form when you don’t have vertebrate subluxations.

state-of-the-art skincare: i’m not just talking about lotions and potions. i’m talking about constant (maybe nightly) facials, microdermabrasion, fraxel, you name it. think of your favorite cosmetic store (ulta, sephora, aveda) and imagine your bathroom looked like that, having permanent access to those things. your skin would look dank too.

professional teeth-whitening
home gyms
tanning beds
saltwater pools
perfect mattresses
private chefs
personal stylists…
the list goes on

many of your idols work hard for these luxuries, and you should never stop striving to be the person you want to be. but their perfection is not effortless and your flaws are not a sign that you’re not trying hard enough

if they are the kings and queens, with access to everything they need to be regal and perfect, we are the real people. we are hardy. we are the scrappy, imperfect warriors of the woods and streets and fields. we drink tap water and use lotion from the grocery store and we crack our own backs when we can and massage each other’s shoulders when we can’t. we sleep on hard beds. we eat whatever frozen meals are on sale that week. we buy discount makeup and cut our own hair and fish our clothes from the sale rack and walk on dirty sidewalks.

and you know… I think they probably have moments where they are jealous of us

If we really want to improve the health of Americans, we have to stop worrying about fictional “toxins” (you know, the kind you have to go on a diet to “cleanse”) and start worrying about actual toxins like lead in water, hazardous building materials, and pollution from coal factories and landfills. If we want to protect the health of children we don’t need programs like Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” where we teach kids that their body size is the problem and that health is their individual responsibility, we need programs like Let’s Move You to a Habitable Neighborhood (I made that up). Or better yet, let’s move the corrupt politicians, contractors, developers, and corporations out of your neighborhood and all neighborhoods.

But let’s be honest, it’s much more comfortable to believe that poor Black, Latinx, and Native kids are just being fed too much junk food and not getting enough exercise than it is to admit that we are making them sick with environmental racism.

Groups unite to create roadmap for replacing lead pipes that poison water
Nearly two dozen groups are uniting for a common purpose: to help communities nationwide replace lead pipes.

Nearly two dozen environmental, health, consumer and water utility groups are uniting to help communities replace old lead pipes that are the primary culprit behind the lead contamination of millions of Americans’ drinking water.

The Lead Service Line Replacement Collaborative won’t change out the pipes itself. But starting this week, it will provide communities with advice and tools to speed up pipe replacement.

Organizers say the effort was inspired in part by a USA TODAY Network investigation that found excessive levels of lead in almost 2,000 water systems spanning all 50 states. The reporting also revealed a double standard that leaves Americans served by small utilities especially vulnerable to lead-tainted tap water. The primary source of the toxin is old lead water pipes, and communities and homeowners, especially those in small, rural communities, have struggled with the cost of replacing them.

“You showed (lead in water) was a broader problem that reached beyond Flint,” said Tom Neltner, chemicals policy director for the Environmental Defense Fund, a Collaborative member. “We had all sort of suspected this, but we didn’t have compelling evidence in front of us.”

Starting with $300,000 in foundation funding, the Collaborative aims to help community leaders and utilities by:

• Launching a website this week to provide utilities information on cost-effective, safe pipe replacement options, how to pay for them and how to engage with customers;

• Providing technical assistance for pilot projects;

• Sharing lessons learned and recognizing successful programs.

“It’s a matter of helping communities with a roadmap of how to move forward,” Neltner said.

An estimated 7.3 million homes are connected to their utilities’ water mains by individual lead service lines — pipes carrying water from mains under the street onto people’s property and into their homes. Experts liken them to “lead straws” because the brain-damaging toxin can leach from the pipes into water. The estimated cost of replacing these old pipes nationally is $30 billion or more.

Federal regulations currently consider lead service line replacement a last resort. Utilities aren’t required to replace pipes unless more than 10% of tap-water samples across a utility’s system show lead levels above 15 parts per billion and efforts to control corrosion with chemicals fail. USA TODAY found thousands of small utilities skip tests or don’t do them properly and more than 100 utilities didn’t promptly start treatment plans after finding excessive lead.

The creation of the Collaborative “is a recognition it’s going to have to be an all-hands-on-deck approach to getting the lead service lines out,” said Greg Kail, communications director for the American Water Works Association, a Collaborative member that includes public water utilities.

Neltner said some members of the Collaborative were represented on a working group of the National Drinking Water Advisory Council making recommendations to the EPA about lead regulations. A "concept paper” laying out the Collaborative’s purpose says it’s focused on supporting local actions, not on EPA’s revisions of the United States’ drinking water regulations.

The group’s concept paper also says pipe replacement plans should benefit all households regardless of income, race or ethnicity. But as for how much of the cost homeowners should pay compared to the utilities, Neltner said, “it’s going to be a community-by-community decision.”

Madison, Wis., which has replaced more than 8,000 pipes since 2001, came up with a compromise on that issue. That city required homeowners to replace the portion of the lead pipe on their properties, but offered to pay half of the costs — up to $1,000. The average homeowner paid $675.

Queen Zakia Shabazz, CEO of Collaborative member United Parents Against Lead, said failing to deal with lead contamination endangers millions. Doctors found high levels of lead in her 22-year-old son’s blood when he was 2, and he suffered cognitive deficits, impulsivity and dental problems. She said health officials traced his lead poisoning to paint and soil, but they never tested tap water in their rented home, which she suspects had lead pipes.

“Flint can happen again, and we need to prevent that,” said Shabazz, of the Richmond, Va., area. “We know lead causes permanent and irreversible brain damage. … And once a child is damaged, there’s no coming back from it.”

Thoughts on Water Fasting

Okay, so I was just introduced today to a concept called “Water Fasting”. This is where you just drink lots of water and don’t eat for an extended period of time. Like as long as a month or even TWO MONTHS. I am not really an expert in medical knowledge, anatomy, or nutrition, but I’m pretty sure I can least several reasons why this is a bad solution for weight loss. However, if you do have any professional expertise in such an area, I absolutely encourage you to reblog this and leave your input along with your credentials potentially.

The Earth Story:
Battle Scars: Remnant of Verdun

In 1916, the Western Front near Verdun was decimated by some of the bloodiest fighting between the French and the Germans during World War I. For 303 days, the two sides launched approximately 40 million artillery shells at each other. One hundred years later, France is still attempting to clean up the mess.

Roughly 140 miles east of Paris lies the Zone Rouge (Red Zone), an area that even 100 years later is still a deadly reminder of the battle that claimed over 700,000 casualties. Pockmarked by the continued bombardment, the landscape is forever altered. But today, the danger comes from unexploded shells scattered throughout the Red Zone. Some estimates claim it may take between 300 and 700 years to safely clear the region of shells. But the shells are only part of the problem.

World War 1 introduced many new machines of war, including airplanes, tanks, flamethrowers, and a variety of deadly gases. Verdun saw the use of phosphine gases by the German troops, and those shells are among the deadliest in the region. Apart from the continued threat to munitions removal workers from toxic buildup, the chemicals have seeped into the soil and in some places, nothing grows and animals die from exposure. Previously, hunters were allowed on the land with special permits, but high levels of lead and other chemicals in the animals have driven them away.

Studies on soil and water in the region have shown that instead of fading with time, the toxicity has increased. Arsenic is as high as 17 percent in some regions, and some water sources contain 300 times more arsenic than is considered safe. Lead from shrapnel is a common toxin, as are mercury and zinc, which are also found in high concentrations and can remain for up to 10,000 years in the soil.

World War I decimated old growth forests on the Western Front. Even today, unexploded shells are unearthed by farming along the line where the front existed in stalemate for four years. Toxins threaten the water supply of nearby municipalities. Though France tried to move back in once the war was over, it is clear it will be a long time before Verdun can be reclaimed.

Don’t TOUCH ANYTHING. Got me?”

The stern, slightly gruff voice echoed throughout the walls of the famed, the glorious, the dark—and rather damp—Batcave. The strictness of the voice belonged to a personage who was really putting a dull vibe on the whole field trip. Well, to them it was a field trip. To Batman…it was a nightmare. An invasion of privacy.

It made his stomach twist painfully.

A Collection of Some of the World’s Deadliest Plants

1. Tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum) – Initially, most people wouldn’t think of tobacco as a “deadly” plant. However, it is the most widely grown commercial plant in the world. All parts of the plant contain the toxic alkaloids nicotine and anabasine, and can be fatal if eaten. Despite its dangers, nicotine from tobacco is widely consumed around the world and is addictive. Tobacco use causes more than 5 million deaths per year.

2. Water Hemlock (Cicuta maculata) – the sister plant of hemlock, water hemlock is widely considered to be the deadliest plant in North America. Fun fact:  water hemlock greatly resembles Queen Anne’s lace and it is actually sometimes confused with parsnips or celery. Where normal hemlock contains the toxin coniine (which causes paralysis), water hemlock contains cicutoxin and cicunol. These toxins cause extremely violent and painful convulsions, cramps, and tremors.

3. Deadly Nightshade (Atropa belladonna) – Deadly nightshade is actually part of the same family that comprises both the tomato and potato. It contains the poisons solanine, atropine, scopolamine, and hyoscyamine. A dose of around two to five berries is usually sufficient to kill an adult. Fun fact:  Belladonna means ‘beautiful lady’; it refers to the 17th century practice of women putting a small extract of belladonna in their eyes to dilate their pupils and make them more attractive.

4. White Snakeroot (Ageratina altissima) – A seemingingly innocuous plant, white snakeroot is a North American herb which contains the toxin trematol. This plant is a favorite among livestock, and the toxins can pass from the animal ingesting to their meat/milk, causing indirect poisoning. Despite the symptoms of tremors, violent vomiting, delirium, and weakness from being ingested, it gets it name due to the fact that it can be an effective cure from snake bites.

5.  Rosary Pea (Abrus precatorius) – Also known by the names: jequirity, paternoster pea, crab’s eye, precatory bean, Indian licorice or Jumbie bread. These beans actually contain a poison 100x more deadly than ricin, known as abrin. This is a common plant throughout the tropics and even as far north as Florida. These brightly-colored beans have a variety of uses including as the rattling beans inside maracas and in jewelry (hence the name rosary beads). Fortunately the bean has a very tough protective coating.

6. Oleander (Nerium oleander) Oleanders are a beautiful plant known for their eye-catching flowers. Despite being a common ornamental plant, all parts of the oleander plant are deadly. It contains lethal cardiac glycosides known as oleandrin and neriine. Ingesting oleander can cause vomiting, bloody diarrhea, erratic pulse, seizures, coma, and death. Another fun fact: the term ‘oleander’ actually derives from Italy and translates to “ass killer” (I’m guessing the bloody diarrhea contributed to that).

7.  Lily of the Valley (Convallaria majalis) – Lily of the Valley is common throughout Northern Europe and America. Its pretty appearance is deceiving, it is a deadly, poisonous plant containing a whopping 38 different cardiac glycosides. Highest on the list would be the toxin convallatoxin . Symptoms of poisoning can include severe headache, nausea, vomiting, slow heart beat and excessive urination.

8.Manchineel (Hippomane mancinella) – This particular fruit-bearing tree is common in coastal regions, such as Florida, South and Central America. It is considered to be the world’s deadliest tree. The Manchineel tree bears toxic apples, and produces a sap (which contains the toxin phorbol) known to cause painful blisters upon contact with skin. Even burning the wood from a Manchineel tree can cause blindness. Natives used to use the sap on their arrowheads. Common symptoms of poisoning include: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and seizures.

9. Suicide Tree (Cerbera odollam) – Most commonly found in areas such as India and Madagascar,  it contains the powerful alkaloid, cerberin, which causes an irregular heartbeat, which can be fatal. Once used as a form of trial in Madagascar (if you survived its effects, you were innocent) it was outlawed as a punishment in the mid-19th century. The plant has also been referred as the perfect murder weapon. Its flavor can be disguised by spices when served in food (I am not promoting this in any way!!). The toxins from this tree claim approximately 50 lives a year.

10. Aconite (Aconitum napellus) – Also known as monkshood and wolf’s bane (Thank you, Professor Snape). It contains the aptly-named toxin, aconitine. It commonly referred to as the “queen of poisons”, and probably the most poisonous plant in Europe. Just touching the plant can cause severe and immediate symptoms, and ingesting is often fatal. Immediate effects include a burning in the mouth. This is followed by drooling, vomiting and diarrhea. As the poison progresses symptoms include numbness, tingling, irregular heartbeat and respiratory failure. The toxins in this plant were long-used in preparing arrows for hunting and warfare.

Any ideas for honoring Poseidon?

You could light ocean-scented incense or burn an ocean-scented candle, and recite the Homeric Hymn to Poseidon or the Orphic Hymn to Poseidon

Better yet, do something to help our planet’s oceans and fresh waters!

Dying Corals by prilfish, 2010 via Flickr

Take action to help the oceans:

Global fisheries are on the verge of collapse. According to the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), three quarters of the world’s fisheries are now overexploited, fully exploited, significantly depleted or recovering from overexploitation. Carry a sustainable seafood card and ask your seafood restaurant or fish market to buy from sustainable fisheries. Look for special terms like “line caught”, “diver caught”, “sustainably caught” or “sustainably harvested.

Avoid products produced through unsustainable or environmentally harmful methods. For example, avoid cosmetics containing shark squalene and jewelry made of coral or sea turtle shell. These products are directly linked to unsustainable fishing methods and the destruction of entire ecosystems.

Select sea-friendly souvenirs: Steer clear of jewelry, mementoes, and products made from marine animals or animal parts, including sea shells, tortoiseshell hair accessories (made from hawksbill turtles), shark products, and—especially—coral.

Vote responsibly. Electing the right public officials is essential to good ocean policy. Do your research and make an informed decision. Stay involved after Election Day. If you have concerns or questions, contact your representative.

Carbon dioxide from burning fossil fuels is making our oceans more acidic. One consequence could be the loss of corals on a global scale, as their calcium skeletons are weakened by the increasing acidity of the water. There are many simple ways you can reduce your energy use. Ride a bike, walk or use public transportation. Use high efficiency appliances in your home. Turn off appliances when they aren’t in use. Turn up your thermostat a few degrees in the summer and down a few degrees in the winter. Use compact fluorescent light bulbs in your house.

Use reusable plastic products. Plastic debris in the ocean degrades marine habitats and contributes to the deaths of many marine animals. Because floating plastic often resembles food to many marine birds, sea turtles and marine mammals, they can choke or starve because their digestive systems get blocked when they eat it. Help prevent these unnecessary deaths—use cloth grocery bags and reusable water bottles.  Start a Ban the Bottle movement in your community. It can be done!

Pick up garbage and litter near beaches and shorelines. Much of the plastic and debris found in the ocean has its beginnings in beach litter. As beach crowds increase, so does the amount of trash left behind. Sea birds, turtles, seals, and other animals can mistake floating plastic for food or become tangled in it and die. Don’t let your day at the beach contribute to the destruction of our oceans. Bring a trash bag with you for your garbage and volunteer for beach clean-ups.

If you have a salt-water aquarium, make sure you ask where and how the animals you buy were collected. Look for the Marine Aquarium Council’s Certification in pet stores to find animals that were carefully harvested and well cared for. And never release an unwanted pet into the ocean or any waterway. Organisms that don’t belong can crowd out the locals and disrupt the ecosystem.

Take action to help fresh water lakes and streams:

Find out where YOUR water comes from and urge others to do the same.

Make sure your hiking gear is free of plant matter when you head out into nature. Seeds of invasive plant species can hitch a ride on boots. Invasive species can cause many water problems, including absorbing more water than native species and sending erosion and bacteria into rivers and lakes.

Volunteer for a stream-clean up or wetland restoration event.

Take someone on a hike near a river or lake – or better yet, get in or on the water – swimming, kayaking, canoeing, etc. People protect things they care about. Make sure your hiking gear is free of plant matter when you head out into nature. Seeds of invasive plant species can hitch a ride on boots. Invasive species can cause many water problems, including absorbing more water than native species and sending erosion and bacteria into rivers and lakes.

Plant a tree in your yard or a friend’s yard, at a school, University, church, or other public place. Trees help keep soil in place – rather than flowing into our streams and lakes – and help slow water down, reducing flooding and enabling more rainwater to trickle down into groundwater supplies.

Water your garden in the morning or the evening when the water will evaporate less rapidly.

Sweep patios and sidewalks rather than hosing them, which wastes water and carries contaminants into freshwater systems.

Limit pesticide use. Pesticides are the only substances we intentionally introduce into our environment to kill living things, and besides being potentially dangerous to people, pets and wildlife, they’ll eventually be carried into our freshwater supply by runoff.

Keep a timer in your bathroom to help you take a shorter shower, and turn off the faucet while brushing your teeth. All that perfectly clean tap water is just going down the drain.

Skip meat for one meal a week. It can take about 600 gallons of water to produce a hamburger. (Think of all the grain that’s grown to feed the cattle.)

Never flush non-degradable products, like baby wipes or plastic tampon applicators. They can throw a huge wrench into the sewage treatment process and wind up littering beaches and water. (Who wants to walk along a beach and step in their own garbage?) And never dump old pills in the toilet, either. Instead, bring them to a local pharmacy that has a take-back program.

Choose toothpaste, face and body scrubs, and cosmetics containing a biodegradable exfoliants, like powdered walnut shells or crushed apricot seeds instead of polymer microbeads. The beads absorb toxins in water, are eaten by marine life, and can make their way up the food chain all the way to our dinner plates

Don’t let paint, used oil, chemical cleaners, or other questionable household products go down the drain. These items contain toxic ingredients (think sodium hypochlorite, ammonia, formaldehyde) we don’t want in our water supply. To find out about hazardous-waste collection days and facilities, or contact your local sanitation, public works, or environmental health department.

Good vehicle and machine maintenance can reduce the leaking of oil, coolant, antifreeze, and other nasty liquids that are carried by rainwater down driveways or through parking lots and then seep into groundwater supplies. Go a step further by always choosing a car wash over hosing down your ride yourself. The pros are required to drain their wastewater into sewer systems, where the water is treated for all the bad stuff before being discharged. Many even recycle that water.

Choose non-toxic cleaning products and low-phosphate detergents. Many household chores can be done with simple ingredients like vinegar, baking soda, or lemon juice. Visit Consumer Reports’ Greener Choices page for suggestions.

CRYSTAL ELIXIRS

I recently received a request to do a post on crystal elixirs! Elixirs work by placing crystals in water, and allowing the water to absorb the healing vibrations from the crystals! Elixirs can be used for drops, baths, room mists, face wash or even for drinking. I’ll make a list of steps to follow!

  1. Cleanse your crystal you want to use before making your elixir. When choosing a crystal I recommend only using tumbled stones, as raw ones can put dangerous toxins in the water. Also make sure you chose a stone that isn’t going to dissolve in water (i.e. No selenite guys!).
  2. Place the cleansed crystal into a glass bowl and fill with spring water. If you want the elixir to last longer than a week you can use a formula of ½ vodka/whisky/brandy and ½ water (this is mostly recommended for dosage bottles) however I usually just use water.
  3. Place the bowl in sunlight for 12 hours to allow the crystal to do its magic!
  4. Then pour the water into an airtight bottle, or dosage bottle. I just use the glass bottles above, as I can drink directly from it. If using the alcohol solution, place in a cool dark place.

Examples of elixirs:

  • Golden Beryl: Gargle for sore throat
  • Black Tourmaline: Room mist for negative energies
  • Bloodstone: Drink for constipation and emotional stagnation
  • Amethyst: Wash for acne/pimples
  • Fluorite: Drink for antiviral and blockages

So the other day...

So the other day I went to Metropolis and I met some D-list supervillain called the pranksteron the bus back. I stuck up a conversation and apparently he was moving to Gotham for easier pickings, and he didn’t have any contacts or anything in Gotham so he was just going to wing it when he got there. I got pretty pissed, so I gave him my phone number and told him to call me when he decided to go back home to Metropolis. I told my buddies and we now have a running bet on how long until I would get a call…

Update: I won, 37 hours and he got mugged twice, a low grade bout of Fear toxin poisoning from the water, and 3 feet from being run over by the batmobile, I love this city, #OnlyInGotham

Harvey Dent #15

Okay.
Scarecrow spills fear toxin into the water. Punches through the floor and crawls out. He is glowing orange in the eyes and his veins. He bites on his fingernail and it starts bleeding fear toxin. He chomps his own arm and it’s bleeding toxin. He drinks some of the toxin from his arm. He taunts the demon. Runs at it several times. He lunges at it and bites a chunk of flesh from its body and swallows it. He whips out the razor from his pocket. The Demon just straight up leaves. And he does all this as poetically as possible, with the scariest goddamn voice I’ve ever heard.
Remind me not to fuck with that guy.
