tour passes

Same … I am still not over Wings

I made a compilation of all Taylor Swift’s speeches before Clean on the 1989 World Tour. It took me a lot of time and effort, so if you share it please give me credits. It lasts 3 hours, but I don’t think there’s anything better than listening to Taylor talking for 3 hours straight!

The reason Great Comet lost so hard is because a huge chunk of Tony voters own/have stake in regional theatres where tours pass through. Dear Evan Hansen is an inferior musical, however they’ve already announced a national tour, while Great Comet is impossible to tour. The people with stake in regional theatres want to be able to put “Winner of 6 Tonys including Best Musical” on their advertisements. The best production doesn’t always win.

BTS’ Rap Line’s Reaction to Their Boyfriend Rapping Their Songs and Fucking Nailing It

for anon  (i know you requested it to be their non binary boyfriend, but i wasn’t sure how to incorporate that so i just did it as their boyfriend)  ♡

He’d get so. turned. on.

You two were just chilling in his room, Yoongi finishing lyrics and you scrolling on your phone, when Tony Montana came on shuffle. He probably wouldn’t notice you rapping along at first, but when you gained some confidence and got louder, he’d peer over the top of his laptop and watch you sitting at the end of his bed.

He’d bit his lip - he thought the sight of you rapping his song so well without even looking up from your phone was hot.

Yoongi would wait until the song came to an end before speaking up.

“Damn, Jagi. Didn’t know you could rap so well… Have you been practising to impress me, baby boy?”

“What?” you laughed, getting fresh underwear from your dresser.

“I heard you rapping a long to Cypher Part 3 in the shower… You absolutely killed my verse! I had no idea you could rap like that?!”

You two were driving home late at night, and you decided to take the aux cord and put on some music to keep the both of you fully awake.

When Cypher Pt.2 came on shuffle, and you rapped Namjoon’s verse flawlessly; he looked over at you with his mouth agape when you stopped at a red light.

“What was that?” he questioned, eyes wide and staring into yours.

“What was what?”

“You just….rapped? And extremely well, I might add.”

“Oh, that? I practised quite a lot the last time you were on tour. It’s a fun pass time.”

He’d stay silent until the two of you got home, genuinely astonished (and proud) of hearing you rap so well.

Later that night, when the two of you were cuddling in bed, he’d sit up abruptly and almost yell,

“We’re doing a collab!”

John Owen Jones, Katie Hall, Simon Bailey and company in the promo for the 2012 UK tour.

Personally, I love the look of this production. Yes, the Red Death costume (and the lack of a staircase) is a little underwhelming, and it’s been accused of being cheap, but I think it’s great to see some Phantom productions looking so fresh after 30 years.

Uruha’s Blog ー Riot City Cherry Blossoms of Imbecility

Yesterday at Zepp Osaka Bayside we were able to finish our additional 「Riot City Cherry Blossoms of Imbecility」tour.
It really was a short tour that passed in a flash but the tour itself was something we hadn’t done in a while and since we don’t really have a lot of shows this year, it means a lot to me to be able to share my time with everyone who supports us through these LIVES, I guess, that goes without saying but still, I feel like this time it’s even more than usual.
This time, even though they were our own songs, we’ve really learned a lot by going back to the past, and while I think it was a super exciting tour that I really enjoyed, it did make me wanna work on some new music.
After all, I feel like I understand now that what’s so incredibly important to me is the element of music that makes me take great pleasure in always moving forward, progressing and pursing new things.
…Not only in that sense, but by looking back on our past we’re gonna keep getting stronger, also thanks to a venture like this one, so in many ways I think, it turned out to be a short but very good tour.
We will have some time off until our next show in the summer at BIAB, but I really look forward to sharing the nice atmosphere and scenery at that outdoor concert with you guys, hope to see you there!!

The stage lights dimmed into darkness and the concert was done.

“THAT WAS THE BEST!” Zoe screamed, flopping back into her seat with her legs still swinging excitedly off the edge. She had been dancing and jumping around for three hours. It was only thanks to sugar that she was still awake. “Did you see Kai, Mummy? He looked right at my face!” she exclaimed loudly, slapping her hands against her rosy cheeks.

Glitch In The Matrix Stories #32

I Had A Dream About That!

Some years ago (maybe 2009 or so), I was living with my friend Del, as well as our other friend. My friend Del (we were in our mid-20’s) had this older friend (probably 40’s) who would give Del work in assisting him with home construction, his business.

This guy had recently moved away from where we were living (California) to Utah, and had called Del up to see if he wanted to come down and work for him, and also to go back to his house in California, fill up a U-Haul and fifth wheel with some of the things the man had left behind at his house in California, and bring it with us to Utah. Del was excited to do this, and I wanted to come, too, so the guy said okay, and in a few days we headed to this guy’s house to empty it, and once we were all packed up and ready, we eventually headed out to Utah.

Now, along this trip over 2 states, there was at least once where I got a classic deja vu feeling, but something was off. I can vaguely remember what I saw when I got the feeling. I was looking at a motel we were about to stay in (in Nevada) and got that strong deja vu like I had seen this exact shot, but in my memory, my white car was parked in front of the building.

Of course, this couldn’t have been possible, because we took a U-Haul. My car was back in California. This turned out to be like an introductory whisper of a more extreme form of this I was about to experience.

Well, once we finally arrived at his house, I got that weird deja vu feeling again. I had seen this shot of his house before, but again, as my memory recalled it, my car was parked in the driveway. Again, that makes no sense! How am I remembering something that didn’t happen (my car being there), but parts of the memory are correct (his house, something I had never seen before)?

Keep in mind, those 2 deja vu experiences I just described were very potent forms of the classic form of deja vu we all know (with my odd twist to them, of course), but the next ‘event’ that happened was something I have never experienced, and really goes beyond what I can simply call 'deja vu’. There’s a definite sense you get when deja vu happens, and what would happen next spans quite a bit past that ’aha moment’ of a single deja vu moment.

So, we walk into the guy’s house and soon after he starts giving us a tour. Now, at this point, I was recognizing things in the house, but it wasn’t really consciously hitting me that I had seen all this before. When it finally hit me actually, it was a sort of weird, embarrassing moment.

The guy was saying something about something in the house, and I replied “yeah, you showed me that before”.

He stopped for a second and looked at me kind of funny, as did my friend, and I realized how @#$%ing weird and nonsensical the thing I just said was, but it was right at this point that I realized how I actually did experience this before. I had a dream about it!

Pinpointing when I had the dream is super tough for me, being that my usual memory is pretty crappy, and that I hadn’t even recalled the dream before until it came back to me now, when I was standing in the house I had the dream of. But I get a strong sense that I had the dream back at our house in California, maybe months before. I have a feeling I was on the couch in my friend’s room when I had it.

Anyway, luckily, they brushed off what I said (probably thought I was a grade A lunatic), and continued the tour. This is where it gets even more fascinating to me, and kind of proves that this wasn’t just that classic deja vu experience, but something I had a dream about.

At one point in the tour, we passed the first floor bathroom. Yep, this was how I remembered it in the dream, but.. I noticed that there was one of those thick, blurry windows at the far end of the bathroom. I distinctly remember that when I saw this bathroom in my dream, the window was not yet set in the pane. In the dream, the window was sitting on the floor against the wall next to the window pane.

I clearly remember this, because, in the dream, I went to pee, and I felt so awkward and uncomfortable, because just around the corner of the open window slot on the other side was the dining room, and everyone (the man, his wife, and Del, possibly more) was sitting at the dining room table talking, like they were sitting right next to me. In real life, this dining room and table were just where they were in the dream, around the corner, but the window was set, and there was no group sitting at the table when I entered it.

So I had seen this exact room before in a dream, but one distinct thing was very different.

This scenario happened again soon after, when we headed upstairs and he showed us what would be our rooms. When we entered Del’s room, it was just how I remembered it in the dream, but there was one clear, distinct difference. When we entered the room in my dream, Del’s big stereo system was in the room. In real life, he had left this big stereo system at home, back in California (this is just like me seeing my car at the motel, and outside the guys’ house).

Another big part of this that super fascinates me is that at some point that night, I remembered that in the dream, this man (I had no idea who he was in the dream) had come to our house in California and asked if we wanted to check out his new house. So, in the dream, he loaded us into his pickup truck, and we drove only blocks away to this house; maybe a 10 minute drive.

Of course, later in reality, my friend and I drove ourselves to his house in a U-Haul truck, 2 states away.

As crazy and interesting as all this is to me, there is one last part that really gives me goosebumps and a strong sense of wonder. I hadn’t even made the connection until years later, but my friend Del was a really oddball kind of crazy, funny guy. One of the things he used to say was, whenever our group of friends would talk about, well, most anything, he would get this crazy aha look on his face, and say “ohhh yeahh, I had a dream about that!”

He also always liked to look out at the stars for extended periods of time, always talking about UFO’s and aliens and stuff. In fact, on our way to Utah, before stopping at the motel, we stopped like goobers at a remote spot off the highway in Nevada near Las Vegas, and watched the stars for at least an hour, sitting in our car.

Now this last part is kind of silly, but still I can’t help but admit that it puts a twinkle in my eye, and a temporary suspended disbelief of what can be possible.

My other friend at the house in California had a girlfriend who claimed to be a witch. I didn’t know if she was full of hot air or not, but she was into it more than at just a surface level. I remember her burning sage with us at one point to remove negativity, and one time I vaguely remember her doing some kind of ritual in our backyard (I remembering seeing the stones laid in a circle outside, too). Anyway, I remember one time we were hanging out in the kitchen, I think, and she looked at him for a few seconds (like, looking him over) and said something like “I don’t think you’re from here. You’re an alien, aren’t you?”

Del looked at he for a second, then just replied “yeah”, in a classic, Del matter of fact way, where you really didn’t know if he was being serious or not.

Haven’t been able to reconnect with Del since I went back home to California from Utah days later. I found his Facebook, but I don’t think he’s been active on it for at least over a year. It appears he’s living with his older brother, though, which is nice for him.

Childhood Glitch

This is something that happened to me in the first grade, though I still remember it incredibly vividly. I’m wondering if anything like this has happened to anyone else?

I was in the gym with my class playing dodgeball, and was incredibly frustrated that I couldn’t catch any of the balls. Eventually, I threw my arms up in exasperation, hoping that someone would just throw me a damn ball so I could properly participate in the game.

That’s when everything stopped. Quite literally. A green ball came flying in my direction, and froze. Everyone froze in the middle of their actions, like a movie put on pause.

The world was eerily silent.

I looked around in horror for only about 3 full seconds before reaching up for the ball. As soon as my fingers wrapped around it, everything came back to life, unpaused.

I screamed, “You froze! You all froze!” This caught a few of my team mates’ attention, and they gathered around me, asking that I explain what I meant. I was frantically trying to tell them that they all froze mid-action. My peers tried to calm me, and told me it was only my imagination.

I got so overwhelmed, gasping and partly shrieking, trying to tell everyone that they were frozen, but no one believed me. My teacher eventually made me sit out to calm down, but I still swear to this day that the world froze in the middle of a dodge ball game.

I Have A Memory That Doesn’t Add Up

When I was a junior in high school my friend and I were at my house hanging out. We were eating a snack and watching Youtube videos. He then told me about how everyone in his physics class (I wasn’t taking physics yet) had to make a presentation on thermodynamics and somebody in the class had made a terrible rap video. We watched it and then he showed me the comments and explained that one of the comments was from somebody he knew and another he didn’t know and it was funny. Here’s the video. The comment from PlayaSlayaMedia is the one we didn’t know.

Fast forward a year, I began recalling this memory over and over, but I can’t ever remember which one of my friends it was that showed me the video. I kept thinking about it and it bothered me that I didn’t know who showed it to me, so I went to the only 3 friends that I would have had over after school like that. I showed them each the video (individually) and explained the comments before showing them the comments.

All of them said they had never seen the video before, and it really scared me. It’s two years later now and I still think about this all the time, and I have no idea of how to explain it.

I went to a small Catholic school, only 20 kids per grade. One day in 4th grade I stayed home sick and my mother received the strangest call. The principal was nearly in tears. According to the students, my teacher, and the bus driver, I was in school that day but disappeared after morning prayer. They thought I had been kidnapped and were contacting the police. My mother, confused, tells them there’s no way that I stayed home sick.

The next day, my classmates recalled conversations we had and everything. Everyone was shocked but glad I was OK and that was the end of that.

243. “Oh, my God! You’re in love with her!” - Josh Dun and if it's at all possible to make the reader a photographer 🙈 and like Tyler is included too. Feel free to ignore this lol

I had known Josh before he was introduced to Tyler, I knew him before he was even in a band. We grew up together but we sort of grew apart once he accepted to be the drummer of Twenty One Pilots.

It’s not like we needed to talk everyday but when we got together it was like no time had passed, since him joining though there hasn’t been any time for us to even get together.
I understood though, I wasn’t upset but I just missed him and his quirky self.

I’ve gone to a few of his shows in his old band and he always goes full force, you can feel the passion radiate off him.
You could tell this is what he was meant to do.
After those shows he would usually invite me to go hang out with the band and a few others, nothing crazy, just a laid back get together in someone’s backyard.
Nowadays, I get the occasional text from Josh of a funny picture or just a “How are you?” The conversation usually ends within a few short texts and I’ve begin to understand that he is just moving on and while I’m not saying I’m stuck, I’m just not going anywhere far.
It had been a few weeks since our last little conversation, I knew he was going on be leaving for tour in the next week so I sent him a quick text.

“Josh! I can’t believe this is all happening for you! I’m so proud of you! Stay safe, have fun, & don’t do drugs! Kidding, I’ll miss you, send me some cool pictures of places I’ll never go! Lol”

I really didn’t expect a text back, I can only imagine how busy they are getting ready for their first huge tour.
I pack up my camera and three different lenses and hop in my car to meet my first client downtown. Once I get there I scope out the downtown area for different spots to shoot the newlywed couple that would be showing up any minute.
I switch out my lenses and pull my phone out of my back pocket to check the time, surprised by the multiple texts received by Josh I quickly unlock my phone and wonder if everything is ok.

The first text - “Hey! It’s crazy and a little scary if I’m honest! Caffeine isn’t a drug is it? Because I am already having withdrawals from our hometown coffee. I’ll send you some sick pictures! I promise!”

The second text- “Actually I have some weird questions I want to ask you, wanna come over later? We are just having a small get together one final time before we leave.”

Followed by- “Ok, you have to come! It’s going to be sick! And Tyler wants to talk to you too, don’t ask. I’ll see you tonight squishy.”

Why he calls me squishy, I will never know or understand but it’s always been my nickname with him.
I quickly send him a thumbs up emoji, my clients are scurrying over to me as they are running late.
The photoshoot goes smoothly and runs late, which I never mind and people appreciate it.
I finish packing everything up and say goodbye, I pack my car back up and pull my phone back out to plug into the charger in my car and I have more texts from Josh.
This is probably the most he has talked to me in a while I laugh to myself and open the texts.

“It’s cool if you’re busy, I know you’re wanted lol. But maybe we can get lunch or something before we leave. If you want, just let me know when and where.”

“Tyler is insisting you come tonight! I mean I’m cool either way but I don’t think Tyler is.”

“Alright last text till I hear back sorry for bugging!”

I text him back before driving off, “I’m on my way! I had a shoot downtown lol, tell Tyler to give Jenna her panties back. Sheesh.”

I send it and drive over to Josh’s house.
It takes me about 25 minutes to get there, by the time I pull up there is barley any parking, I freshen up my makeup in the car and reapply my lipstick. I step out and lock my car doors behind me.
I get a nervous feeling, there are a lot more people here than our average ‘get togethers’ and more than likely I will only know a small handful of people.
I take a deep breath and open the door.

I’m instantly greeted by unfamiliar faces, I smile and try to squeeze between people and make my way to the backyard.

“Squishy!” Josh’s voice rings out from the kitchen.

I make my way over to him and he pulls me into a tight hug, he keeps his arm draped over my shoulder as he introduces me to the people around.
I hope he doesn’t expect me to remember any of these names though.
Tyler comes over to the other side of Josh and rests his head on his shoulder, one of the people step back and hold their phone up to snap a picture, Josh nudges me and I quickly cover my face with both my hands.
The group of people start throwing compliments to the picture as Josh had made that scrunchy face and Tyler is being Tyler and I simply have my face covered.

“Pretty sick.” Josh laughs as he looks at it.

The night goes on and Josh and Tyler are busy mingling, I found an open spot at a table in the backyard. I sat there and sipped on some water waiting to find a free moment to tell them both bye but it never came.
I was flipping through pictures on my phone when Tyler takes a seat next to me, I jump in my seat and he places his hand on my shoulder.

“Chill, it’s just me.” He laughs.

“Sorry, just a little tired. How are you though? I feel like I haven’t gotten to really talk to you guys.” I slip my phone into my back pocket.

“Honestly, scared. Like what if no one shows up? Or if people hate us live?” He puts his head down on the table.

I pat my hand on his back, “Tyler, you know people love you guys and aren’t all the shows sold out? I promise you guys will do just fine. After the first show of the tour al these feeling subside.”

“Thanks.” He says with his head still down, “I actually wanted to talk to you about something.” He sits up and looks at me.

“What?” I look away, “You are making me nervous, what is it?” I push his shoulder back.

“Ok, really. I’m just going to blurt it out.” He takes a deep breath in, “Will you come with us?”

“What!” I laugh out loud, “For what? Why? Are you serious?” I laugh even more.

“As out photographer! We need one, the one we had ditched us yesterday. You know us, our personalities and you are really good.” His look is serious now.

“Tyler, I can’t just leave for a year what about my clients I have scheduled already!” I’m not sure if I am trying to reason with him or myself.

“We have three people willing to pick them up and they can’t charge a penny more than you.” He places his hand on my shoulder again, “Just, just try the first month and if you hate it then no hard feelings. We will even find a back up for after a month if you call it quits. Come on? Please?”

I roll my eyes at his pleads, “Fine. I’ll give it one month.”

He pulls me in for a hug and then stands on the table, he screams out Josh’s name and he appears from the crowd, “She said yes Josh! She’s down for the first month!”

Josh screams out and runs over to me, I cover my face out of embarrassment and he wraps me in a huge hug, “Squishy is going on tour!”

That night I went home and started packing, they were leaving in three days so i didn’t have much time to get things in order.
I packed almost all of my clothes, blankets, pillows and every kind of toiletries.
The days passed quickly, I made sure every client was taken care of for the next month and I had to join in on the last few meetings to go over rules and boundaries.
They had provided me with another set of camera lenses specific for concerts and shows, which I was grateful for because I mainly did weddings.

The first day of tour arrived, I got introduced to the team probably three times in one day. We all hopped on the bus and the crew put our bags away.
All three of us sat there in silence as the bus started rolling.

“You guys are going to do great, you know that right.” I run my hand up and down Josh’s back in a comforting manner, “We should be celebrating you two!” I stand up and open the fridge and pull out three Red Bulls.

The first week of tour has passed, it’s hectic.
The energy Josh and Tyler throw out is really the only thing that gets me through the shows and then whatever is planned after the shows.
I have to run behind them on the stage for almost the entire concert, laying on the ground, getting too close to the grabby fans at times.
The mornings are usually really early, they have interviews to get to or just a new location to check into. Then the setup process and anything in the meantime.
I am there to capture every moment of this tour and I actually am loving it.
One of the crew members has been incredibly helpful, he always helps carry my film bag around and always has a water for me, sometimes a few waters if its an outside venue.

It was Sunday night, the last show of the first week.
It was an outside venue with a huge tent type covering. I was leaning against the side railing messing around with my lenses for the lighting.
Josh and Tyler were over by the piano and I snapped a few photos of them to test it out.
Kris, my new tour friend came up behind me and offered me a water.
He stayed there and helped me with some things in my bag and carried them behind the thick curtain.
We stayed back there and I was working a few different angles from the slit in the curtain and Kris was helping me find new angles that maybe involved less running.

“I don’t know about that Kris guy. He seemed cool but now he might be shady.” Josh’s tone was annoyed.

“What are you talking about? He is a huge help! Especially to out new born baby deer photographer.” Tyler laughs, “I feel bad sometimes that she has to run miles across the stage.”

Kris and I look at each other in shock at what Josh had just said, I shake my head towards Kris as he was going to get up and leave, he stays and sits with me as we listen.

“She doesn’t need help. I mean, we could help her if she needed it.” I can hear Josh pacing the floor slowly.

“Dude, when do we have time to help her? It’s not like he is clicking the button on the camera, he is just carrying her bags and making sure she doesn’t die of dehydration.” Tyler chuckles again.

“I don’t know, man. I don’t like him hanging on her like that.” Josh groans.

“Wait.” Tyler grabs Josh’s shoulder, “Oh, my God! You’re in love with her!”

Josh doesn’t say a thing, Kris and I have been sitting in silence but all of a sudden it became awkward.
We both stand up quietly and I nod to him to go ahead while I stay and listen.

“Since when dude? I had my thoughts about it but you hid it so well!” Tyler sits back down on his piano bench.

“I don’t know, for a little bit. I figured with tour I could come back and go back to being best friends but then you mentioned her coming with and I have to admit, I was stoked about it.” He lets out a sigh, “I haven’t even hung out with her in so long.”

“Well, if I had no idea I know she has no idea.” Tyler shrugs.

I go to get up and I stand quietly, I take a few small steps and sneeze. My heart drops.

“What the hell!” Tyler laughs as he pulls the curtain back, “Well she knows now.”

I cover my face as I come from behind the curtains.

“What were you doing back there?” Josh questions with his cheeks red.

“I was trying to get new angles from behind the curtain, it would mean less running but you guys started talking and I started listening. Im, I’m really sorry.”

“For once, I’m going to stay out of this.” Tyler walks off the stage with a light laugh.

“Josh, why didn’t you ever say anything? I never even thought..” He cuts me off.

“You never thought of me like that, I know. I understand why. You are worth so much more and for someone so much better.” He takes a seat on Tyler’s piano bench.

I stand in front of him and put my hands on either side of his face, “I was going to say, I never thought you thought of me like that because I always have loved you but i really am in love with you.” I close my eyes and let out a sigh of relief.

He looks up at me, his yellow hair matted and curly, his eyes deep brown. He doesn’t say a word, he pulls my waist close to him as he stands up and he presses his lips to mine.
My hands fall around his neck and our kiss grows passionate.

“Atta boy!” Tyler laughs out from behind the curtain.

I quickly burry my face in Josh’s chest with my hands covering the sides of my face.
Josh laughs and wraps his arms around me, he kisses the top my head, “Tyler will now be jealous the rest of tour and will refuse to leave us alone.”
