totally not obama

  • random person: *compares Donald Trump to Voldemort*
  • me: YESSSSS.
  • my thoughts: Except he's not a Slytherin -- he's impulsive, rash, hot-tempered, and puts a lot of value on his public image and how people see him...plus he shows no resourcefulness, self-preservation, or loyalty to his inner-circle, since he had multiple divorces and only seems focused on himself. So basically he's an evil Gryffindor! ...Wait. What about Hillary? SHE shows resourcefulness, cleverness, and loyalty to her inner circle...plus she is methodical in her decision-making, can be incredibly flexible, and will kiss up to people to get her way. And of course she was vilified by people who mistook her cleverness for deviousness--OH MY GOD, HILLARY IS A GOOD SLYTHERIN HOLY COW.

Donald Trump accuses Obama of 'wire-tapping' his office before election
President accuses his White House predecessor of overseeing ‘Nixon/Watergate’-style intervention
By Chris Johnston

“ … Democratic congressman Seth Moulton, a member of the House armed services and budget committees, told the MSNBC channel: “This is right out of Donald Trump’s reality TV playbook. He’s trying to distract attention from the real story here which is his campaign, his administration’s contact with Russian officials … There’s clearly a deeper story here and we the American people need to know how high this conspiracy goes.” … “

“ … Moulton added: “Obviously contacts with Russian intelligence officials are monitored: that’s part of maintaining our national security. So, if under the Obama administration they were simply monitoring contacts with Russian officials – not trying to wiretap into the Trump campaign but simply looking at who Russian officials were talking with – and then Trump campaign officials got ensnared in that net, then it’s a total mischaracterisation to say President Obama was wiretapping Trump.” … “

“ … Breitbart News, the “alt-right” website formerly run by Steve Bannon, who ran the Trump campaign and is now the president’s chief strategist.  The article stated: “The Obama administration sought, and eventually obtained, authorisation to eavesdrop on the Trump campaign; continued monitoring the Trump team even when no evidence of wrongdoing was found; then relaxed the NSA [National Security Agency] rules to allow evidence to be shared widely within the government, virtually ensuring that the information, including the conversations of private citizens, would be leaked to the media.” … “

“ … Launching a series of tweets at 5.35am eastern time on Saturday, the US president said: “Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!” … “

“ … He followed up that initial tweet with a string of others in the following 30 minutes that claimed Obama had defied a court rejection of a request to tap his office, and invited a “good lawyer” to make a case against the alleged operation. … “

I find it rather telling how Tumblr reacts to the death of Otto Warmbier - barely worth a footnote. Where are the SJWs and fighters for freedom of speech? Certainly not screaming bloodly murder but they should because it is exactly that. (Kudos for being such a fierce defender of reality. You have openend a lot of people's eyes.)

They were so happy to talk about him when they were mocking the ‘stupid privileged white frat,’ and even mocking his plea to be saved, saying he was just doing it for attention, and how he’s been killed, total silence. Obama told Otto’s parents to stay quiet while he did absolutely nothing to save him as he was being tortured and was sentenced to 15 years of slavery - for taking a poster from his hotel. This is just yet another demonstration of how the left only see people by skin color, class, gender etc. When you become so convinced that every white straight male is a victimizer, you’re going to excuse atrocities against them which is exactly what they did. Extended to the politics of the United States, this sort of moral garbage leads to the breakdown of society. If you believe that terrible things happening to a member of a group who you see as the “oppressors” can be justified, you’re a tribalist. The victims like Otto Warmbier remain victims. But if we fail to see them as victims because we’re too concerned with the color of their skin, we become their victimizers too which again, is exactly what happened. Thank you for your input :) xx

Fuck this I survived eight years of Cheney using Bush as a presidential hand puppet I can survive an incompetent Fascist Cheeto™.

One additional tragedy to come out of Sandy Hook is that it basically made the NRA untouchable. If 20 dead school kids changed fuck all, nothing ever will.  But still these pro-gun nuts  (who 100% totally know that Barack Obama is planning an evil Kenyan Marxist Black Muslim takeover thing!) will go on Facebook every time a mass shooting happens and act like THEY are the victims here. Dear God, you people nauseate me. How do you look yourself in the mirror? How do you sleep at night? Oh, wait, I don’t want to know. Some things are so utterly delusional and evil I never want to understand them.

The other day I worked a 5 hour shift with no break. I didn't ask for one, but I was given so much shit to do that I was unable to take one. It's a new job so I didn't really feel comfortable speaking up. Is 5 hours too little for a break?

Unfortunately, there is no federal law mandating breaks for any length of working hours, which is total bullshit (dear Obama: pls fix). There are some state laws that will take care of you though, and you can check out this handy dandy map and chart from the Department of Labor that will tell you what your state requires (link).

So, to answer your question: I don’t know; it depends on where you work. Maybe 5 hours without a break is allowed where you are. It’s fucking dumb because employees with breaks actually produce better work but whatevs I’m not in charge.
