Report: Things just keep getting better and better for Liverpool at the moment. A 1-0 win over bitter rivals Manchester United to give Liverpool 3 wins and 3 clean sheets to start the season, for the first time in our history. Daniel Sturridge scored the only goal of the game 4 minutes in after Daniel Agger’s goal bound header was nodded in by Sturridge off a Gerrard corner. Martin Skrtel came in for the injured Kolo Toure and showed why he should be picked as a regular, with a dominant Man of the Match performance which limited RVP with only a few half chances all game. Another strong defensive performance, but again room for improvement, particularly in the second half. Mignolet, Johnson and Enrique all had excellent games, with Sturridge capping off his 24th birthday with a goal. A great testament to Bill Shankly’s 100th birthday the day after.
