top 50 otps of all time ☆ #10. Seth Cohen & Summer Roberts

“You see, back then, you were just this fantasy. You were this little girl who when I would see, you would either ignore me or make an obscene gesture and keep on walking … But now look at you, you fight for sea otters, you’ve befriended Taylor Townsend, you’re an incredible mom to that bunny. You’ve evolved. And over the last nine hundred and fifty days we’ve been dating - yes, I’ve counted and yes, I counted the Zach era because really, who were we kidding? - I’ve watched you grow into this incredible woman. And that is who I love.”

TOP 10 TV SHIPS  03. Luke and Lorelai

“I don’t think I ever really loved anyone. Until Luke.”

TOP 10 TV SHIPS 08. Ross and Rachel

“Because it is too damn hard, Ross! I cannot even begin to explain to you how much I am going to miss you! When I think about not seeing you everyday, it makes me not want to go! Okay? So if you think that, that I didn’t say “good-bye” to you because you don’t mean as much to me as everyone else, you’re wrong. It’s because you mean more to me.”

TOP 10 TV SHIPS 01. Booth and Brennan

“Dear Agent Booth, you are a confusing man. You are irrational and impulsive, superstitious and exasperating. You believe in ghosts and maybe even Santa Claus and because of you I’ve started to see the universe differently. How is it possible that simply looking into your fine face gives me such joy? Why does it make me so happy that every time I try to sneak a peek at you, you’re already looking at me.  Like you, it makes no sense, and like you, it feels right. If I ever get out of here, I will find a time and place to tell you that you make my life messy and confusing and unfocused and irrational and wonderful. This is that time, this is that place.”

No. 3 - Jess and Rory (Gilmore Girls, 2001 - 2003)

Jess arrived in Stars Hollow the mysterious ‘bad-boy’ with a secret sweet side. Although Rory was dating Dean at the time, the instantaneous attraction between the pair soon put an end to that relationship. Jess and Rory: The Early Years was adorable to watch, but despite their trademark witty banter they had problems with communication. After learning he would not be graduating Jess disappeared without a word, leaving Rory heartbroken. That said, even though they didn’t officially reunite, their connection never really went away. Jess attributed his accomplishments as a writer to Rory’s belief in him, and he also acted as her wake-up call when he found out she dropped out of College. I also loved that their ship name wasn’t a combination of their individual monikers, but rather a tribute to their mutual appreciation for books. Kudos to whoever came up with Literati, and here’s hoping the pair found each other again after the show ended.

10:Mulder and Scully from The X-Files

This is without a doubt the slowest moving relationship of all time.  It literally takes them all of the nine seasons for them to get together. It is frustrating and you give up on it several times, especially when you find out that Scully’s baby is Mulder’s, but it was artificially inseminated.  Grr… so much frustration. They grew as a couple very much throughout the show.  They have some of the best long looks that exist, they are so intense.  They start out as polar opposites, and while they are still different in the end, they support and fight for each other and that is what good relationships are all about.

“Well it seems to me that the best relationships, the ones that last, are frequently the ones that are rooted in friendship.  You know, one day you look at the person and you see something more than you did the night before.  Like a switch has been flicked somewhere.  And the person who was just a friend is suddenly the only person you can ever imagine yourself with.”

Favorite Moment: In the episode “All Things” at the end of the episode they are sitting together and talking and Mulder goes off on a long speech about how he thinks that they were fated to come together and then turns to see that she is asleep.  He reaches over and brushes her hair behind her ear and for some reason that moment always gets me.  Honestly it was really hard to choose a moment, because there are so many like that one for this couple.
