tom stall

Alternate Scene Season 2

[Everyone in the Library]

Richard Carlisle: Well if there’s no objections I think Lavinia [turns to Lavinia with a smile] has made a fairly good case why she and Matthew should get married  … so if there’s no objections.

Sybil: There is, because, I haven’t made mine yet!

[Sybil enters with Tom trailing behind as her Hype Man.]

Sir Richard: What? What’s your case?!

Sybil: Mary Crawley is my case!

[Mary suddenly appears mysteriously from behind Tom]

Sir Richard: [Outraged] You can’t be serious?!

Tom: [Getting in Richards face] Oh she’s serious, baby. She’s Yahoo Serious. she’s Serious FM. Welcome to the world serious of seriousness sponsored by Honey Nut Seerioes!

Edith: [Looking between Tom and Sybil] Are you guys stalling right now?

Tom: Stalling? [Laughs] Stalling … no, m'lady! In fact you’re gonna wish that she was …

Sybil: [comes up from behind and whispers in his ear] I got it!

[Tom pushes Sir Richard out of the way so Sybil can stand in front of everyone]

Sybil: [Clears throat] I want to say some names to you. Marie Antoinette, Jack the Ripper, Lavinia … [Everyone gasps]  What do they have in common? We don’t know them very well. What do we know about Lady Mary Crawley? We know she’s nuts.

Mary: Let her finish!

Sybil: We know she’s dangerous, unpredictable, selfish, we know she uses her name to make bad puns.

Mary: [As if giving the blessing of herself to everyone in the library] Mary Christmas

Sybil: When she talks, she over and under emphasizes words seemingly at random. When she eats, she holds her fork like a murderer’s knife, gnawing at it’s skewered payload like a deranged woodland rodent.

Tom: [From behind Sybil] Bring it home!

Sybil: We know she smells like an Italian Perfumery, we know she dresses like a Turkish Concubine, we know she exhibits, nay, flaunts proudly [Mary smiles ambitiously] obvious symptoms of over a half dozen disorders you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy’s pets.

Tom: [from behind] Feel the heat!

Sybil: We know these things about Mary and so much more than we ever wanted to know about her. Why? Because it’s there. It’s on the surface. What you see may be what you don’t want but it’s also what you get.

[Everyone is in shocked silence]

Matthew: Wow …

Sybil: [Cross examines Lavinia] Who is this kettle corn popping phantom? This human question mark, this number 8 scoop of vanilla tapioca with a PhD in being swell and a Masters in “Everybody loves me”? Who is it?! We may never know. I only know one thing. Cousin Matthew: [Points to Lavinia] Nobody is this good a person…and [Present’s Mary] nobody can get any worse then this.

Edith: She’s right, She’s horrible.

[A Long pause of silence in the room]

Sybil: [Whispers over her shoulder] Now!

Tom: [Starts a slow clap]

Mary: [Joins in]

[Soon the whole family is clapping in encouragement.]

Day Two: Favorite Interview

Top Gear

One of my favorite Tom interviews is from 2014 when he was on episode 2 from series 21 of Top Gear.  Tom talked about his fear of heights while filming the Jaguar commercial in an open helicopter.

Tom told us about a school play where he played the front leg of an elephant while carrying Eddie Redmayne.

Tom treated us to  impressions of Anthony Hopkins, Arnold Schwarzenegger, & Peter O’Toole.

I enjoyed when we got to the actual lap of the “Star in a Reasonably Priced Car” segment.  Tom stalled the car on his 1st attempt.  He also did some swearing & sang a little made up song while doing his lap.

I just really enjoyed the whole interview & his lap.

I love the behind the scenes of Tom’s lap that wasn’t shown on the Top Gear episode.

The big highlight for me from the behind the scenes was Tom & the umbrella.  I have never had that happen to me or never witnessed that before until seeing it happen to Tom.  I definitely think it was a 1st for Tom from the look on his face & all.  I can still laugh about it after all the times I have watched it.  I really don’t know the # of times I have watched Tom & the umbrella.  : )

What if tom was a hired killer who has the mission of kill marco but he ends falling in love and presenting to marco like -hey, i was suposed to kill you, but i love you, i'm tom- fic idea

Okay I have to say this was so much fun! I loved writing it and I enjoyed writing the humor and fluff! I hope you love it!

“You said you’d have princess Marco neatly taken out and disposed of in a week.” Miss Heinous spoke. “It’s been six. Have him dead by tomorrow noontime or I’ll have you taken out myself.” She hissed at the demon. A few large guards were standing by her side. Tom gulped and nodded.

“Y-yes ma’am… it’s just hard when you have such specific requirements. How do you want me to do it neatly exactly? Maybe we should take some more time to-“ Tom tried to stall but One of the guards grabbed him by the collar and raised him off the ground.

“Let him down, Harris.” Miss Heinous commanded. “He has until tomorrow at noon.” She assured. She then leaned forward menacingly. “And if he doesn’t complete the task by then, I will leave you to it.” She spat. Tom nodded and saluted her.

“Yes Ma’am, of course. Right away.” Tom assured. He scurried to pick up his dagger and gun that she had him place on the desk in front of them. “Tomorrow at noon. I swear.”

————————————————————————————————————————————–

Tom sat on the roof of the human high school and played with his dagger. He didn’t like this at all. But there was really no way out. All he had to do was kill this guy! He’s killed so many before. Why was this one different? Why couldn’t he bring himself to do it? And why did he feel so weird around him!?

Tom snapped it of it when he heard the bell ring and the target make his way home. Tom took a deep breath and ran to catch up with him. Marco was walking home all alone. And it looked like he didn’t even see Tom following him. This should be really easy! But why wasn’t it. Tom jumped down around ten feet behind him as silent as possible; he was about to reach for his gun when something stopped him. It was like he was acting on impulse alone. He couldn’t bring himself to harm this human. Tom didn’t know why! Maybe it was his sweet smile. Or the way Tom felt so bubbly whenever he would laugh. Or maybe it was all the sweet and kind things he’s said that Tom overheard. But Tom couldn’t do it, so he did something else.

“Hi!” Tom called, and quickly wished he had stayed quiet. Marco turned around and waved, a bit confused.

“Hey there.” He laughed a bit; Tom felt his face flush a deep red. Marco came closer. “You need something?” He asked. Tom gulped.

“N-no… I just uh… had to um… t-talk to you about uh…” Tom trailed off, his face was burning red and Marco looked closer.

“Hey, you’re a demon?” Marco asked. Tom froze up.

“Oh shoot, that’s weird for you right?” Tom asked. Marco shrugged.

“I live with this girl Star Butterfly, so it’s really not all that strange.” Marco laughed. Tom did as well. He’s heard of the princess of Mewni, and as soon as she was mentioned Marco’s apathy towards seeing another species was understood. “So what did you need to talk about? Something to do with Star?” Marco asked. Tom shook his head and played with his gloves.

It would be so easy to finish him right there! But he couldn’t do it.

“Do you know a woman named Miss Heinous?” Tom asked. Marco nodded.

“She’s been after me for a long time. Why?” Marco asked, getting worried. Tom sighed and tugged at his horns nervously.

“She hired me. I’m an assassin and she hired me to kill you, but… I can’t do that.” Tom explained. Marco fell back and looked at the demon with a new horror in his eyes and face.

“You’re here to kill me!?” He cried. Tom shook his head.

“No! Well… I was but… please you have to believe me.” Tom begged. “I won’t hurt you.” He swore. Marco went to run away but Tom quickly jumped in front of him. “Please don’t run I promise I can explain everything!” Tom assured. Marco just screamed again and Tom put his hands over his mouth. “Just stop screaming! I’m not going to hurt you!” He cried. Marco just had a terrified look in his eyes as Tom had his hands over his mouth. “Oh my god this looks bad.” Tom realized. “I’m gonna let you go, promise to not scream and just listen! Please!” Tom begged. Marco gulped and nodded, Tom took his hand away and the human stayed there, still scared stiff though. Tom smiled extremely awkwardly.

“Hi. I’m Tom.” He grinned nervously. “I’m an assassin… and uh… I was supposed to kill you but I uh…” Tom trailed off and his face got red. “I think I like you.” He stated. “I think I REALLY like you.” He gave another nervous grin. Marco was now in a state between scared and confused. Tom blushed and ran his fingers through his hair. “Oh my gosh I sound so dumb! Look I know this is crazy and I hate to scare you like this… I’ve been watching you for a long time- wait that sounds creepy.” Tom stopped. “I swear it wasn’t like that! I was just trying to kill you!- Wait no that’s even worse.” Tom realized. “Look what I’m trying to say is-“ Tom was cut off when he heard a scream behind him.

“TOM!” It screamed. Tom whipped around and saw one of Miss Heinous’ guards. Tom’s eyes widened and his ears dropped.

“Oh no…” He whispered.

“Your time is up.” He growled. He grabbed the demon by the hair and yanked him up another guard seized Marco. “I should have known you’d fail. And I should have guessed you’d betray us. It’s just like a demon. You’re all sneaky treacherous snakes.” He hissed. Tom wiggled around and tried to get out of the man’s grasp as he raised a spear to Tom’s throat.

Just when he was prepared to feel the sharp pain he heard a loud yell. “WARNICORN STAMPEDE!” It screamed. Tom looked curiously at the blonde princess of Mewni jumped forward. She blasted the two guards away with one spell. The warnicorns trampled the guard and she kicked a pair of scissors over to Marco. He sliced through the air and Star raised her wand again at the two big men. “Emerald SNAKE STRIKE!” She cried. Green snakes came out of the wand and wrapped around the soldiers’ heads. Causing them to fall through the portal and Star closed it up. She ran to Marco and gave the human a big (and a little aggressive hug).

“Marco! I can’t believe I got here in time! I didn’t know what took you so long to get home and I just had a hunch that I should come find you!” She cried. Marco laughed a little and got out of her embrace.

“I’m fine Star. Thanks for the save.” He grinned, but trailed off and looked at the demon sitting on the ground, staring up at him. “Hold on.” He told his friend, and walked over to Tom. “Hey… are you alright?” Marco asked. Tom gulped and nodded. Marco helped him up. “You really weren’t kidding were you?” Marco asked. Tom shook his head. “You knew they’d kill you but… you still didn’t want to hurt me.” Marco recapped. Tom blushed and nodded again.

“I didn’t know what else to do except tell you.” Tom admitted. “I’ so sorry I’ll leave-“ Tom started but Marco stopped him.

“No!” He insisted. Tom looked back curiously, now it was Marco’s turn to blush. “Look um… those guards are going to come back for me, and you too now.” Marco warned. “It’ll be safe with us. We had Star and her spells, and lots of friends that will help. You should stay with us until it’s safe.” Marco suggested. Star came up behind them and nodded in agreement.

“I don’t know you, but if Miss Heinous is after you; you should stick with us, we’ve been fighting her off for a while.” Star grinned. “It’ll be safer.” She assured. Tom was quiet for a moment but nodded.

“Okay, I’ll stay.” He smiled. Marco couldn’t help but smile big at this.

“Great.” Marco held out his hand. “It’s good to have you one our team.”

Coalesce

You slip on a black hoodie, tucking the empty right sleeve into your pocket, and pull up the hood to hide your face. You slip through the safe house quietly despite your injuries and look for things you’ll need. Paul and Patryk have gone out for supplies and you’re taking advantage of their absence to sneak out for a walk.

You weren’t supposed to be up but being bed ridden with your wounds was driving you up the wall. You were going stir crazy and you had to get out.

barristerthebold  asked:

I think your work on ASOIAF and the Dem primaries is fantastic. Re Sandor, I agree that Cleganebowl isn't fulfilling, but why would it be a cop-out for Sandor to turn out to be like William Munny in Unforgiven or Tom Stall in A History of Violence -- a man who simply cannot escape violence, even after trying to avoid it, and trying to repair himself. Like the scorpion that tries not to sting the frog carrying it across the river but does it anyway drowning both bc it's in his nature.

Thanks!

Because that’s not Sandor’s story. His is not a gunslinger narrative; it’s about self-healing. As many have noted, Sandor v. Gregor already happened back at the Hand’s Tourney in AGOT, and Sandor refused to attack his brother’s unprotected face. And since then, he’s struggled to move past violence and become the true knight he still, still, STILL wants to be. The Quiet Isle plot specifically is about Sandor giving up the Hound, the feasting-crow identity rooted in what Gregor did to him. Cleganebowl would be utter character regression, destroying one of ASOIAF’s most emotionally powerful and thematically central arcs.
