I discovered this old Tweet from Adam McArthur earlier and found it amusing. The first hashtag is #Tomco. Even before “Mr. Candle Cares” or “Friendenemies” aired, he was aware of it being a ship in the fandom.
This is probably something a lot of people have already seen, but it was new to me until tonight, and I couldn’t find any posts about it on here.
As one of the quieter members of the SVTFOE fandom
1. Take a chill pill,
2. Appreciate the hard work of the Star vs crew
3. Enjoy the fact that we’ve been blessed with the season three opening
4. Jackie has done nothing wrong
5. Star has done nothing wrong
6. Marco has done nothing wrong
7. The creators have done nothing wrong. Just because they didn’t have it play out how you wanted it to. This goes for everything: if you have a negative opinion please find a polite, understanding and respectful way to express it. Thank you 😊
🎵It’s gonna get a little weirder, gonna get a little wilder! We’re not from around here, we’re from another dimension!🎵
Star’s brand new intro for season 3 looks AWESOME!
Don’t forget the S3 Premiere movie, “Battle for Mewni” airs on July 15th (11:00am, 2:00pm, 7:00pm) and the rest of the season will air this fall! You’re gonna have a good time! 😃😀😁🌈🌠
Animatic version of that “Starco is platonic” scene!
This was literally one of the first scenes I wrote and drew for the show. I love that Daren (our fearless leader and show creator) was so supportive about the characters actually saying “Starco” in the series.
A lot of animation pros are fully aware of fan ships, we just so rarely get to acknowledge that to the audience. So this was a fun first for me.
Note: A handful of these panels were cleaned up by the talented board artists Jushtin Lee! Thanks for the help, Jushtin!
Also, Tom’s voice gets weird for a second because I temped half of his line. This kind of thing is really common during the animatic phase, ESPECIALLY on board driven shows.
So Star Vs The Forces Of Evil season two premiered yesterday and it was glorious!
My New Wand: This episode was pure brilliance, balancing out a fun story with plenty of laughs and even some heart warming moments. Truly a fantastic way to start the new season with magnificent writing tremendous voice acting and gorgeous animation truly this episode was terrific in every way.
Ludo In The Wild: A wonderfully told tale centering on the shows main antagonist Ludo, the episode itself much like the first half boasted amazing artwork with excellent writing and truly brilliant voice acting with an ending that could spell bigger things on the horizon.
All in all, Star Vs The Forces Of Evil has proven itself to be one of the greatest shows on TV today and knocked it out of the park with two stellar episodes
And I personally cannot wait to see how this season unfolds, and see more excellent stories from this wonderful series.
