If the sun were to explode, you wouldn’t even know about it for 8 minutes because that’s how long it takes for light to travel to us. For eight minutes the world would still be bright and it would still feel warm. It was a year since my dad died and I could feel my 8 minutes with him were running out.
“There are more people alive now than have died in all of human history, but the number of dead people is increasing. One day, there isn’t going to be any room to bury anyone anymore. So, what about skyscrapers for dead people, that are built down. They could be underneath the skyscrapers for living people, that are built up. We could bury people 100 floors down. And a whole dead world could be underneath the living one.”
“My dad told me that New York once had a Sixth Borough that floated away. They tried to save it, but they couldn’t and it’s never coming back. As much as I want him to, my dad is never coming back. And I thought I couldn’t live without him, but now I know I can. I think that would make my dad proud, which is all I ever wanted.”
shit. stories keep getting better each year. really all these actors
(boys and girls) need to get some well deserved recognition… for their
bravery, their craft and their amazing choices. they don’t just
entertain but break our hearts and then put them back together… well,
sometimes. here are my choices for this year. pure beauty.
