Jason wasn’t the type to be cliché. He did not want anything to do with cliché. Even slight mention of the word made him cringe. He loathed the fact that men would give their girlfriends chocolate in hopes of being ‘unique’ and ‘romantic’. He shook his head at it, but the problem was it was going to be that predictable and boring time of the year.
Such a wondrous and alluring day, filled with couple’s public display of affection and probably a few proposals. The smell of flowers, chocolates and men’s cologne filled the air to create an atmosphere of love. This day was a common time to for love towards that special person in the most passionate way possible, but Jay had other plans. He wanted to hangout at your house.
The aggressive knocking continued to sound around the quiet apartment. It has been five minutes and you still haven’t answered the door. At a situation like this the common response would being concerned and finding a way to get in to check if you were alright, but of course this is Jason we are talking about. Jason rolled his eyes figuring you were being the lazy ass you were for today and sleeping in. From a series of specific past experiences, he decided not to break the door down pissing you off. He exited the complex and sneaked into an alley beside the building. He looked up remembering which floor you were until someone grabbed his hand and pointed a gun to his head.
“Give me your stuff, pretty boy.”
Jason slowly sank in what was occurring and raised an eyebrow at the criminal. Was the thug so dumb to the point of threatening a young athletic looking man? Probably. Jason quickly flipped the criminal landing the said guy on the cold concrete. He groaned out in pain and Jay laughed in response.
“Look, I’m trying to get to my ‘sleeping beauty’, but if you wanna get in my way I have other possible actions.” He sighed happily pulling out a handgun. The criminal’s eyes widened and ran out of the alley.
Jason gazed up once again, pulling down the fire exit ladder fiercely. He climbed the ladder and pulled it back up. He continued upwards from there until he reached what he believed was your apartment. His eyes were glued on the window looking for any traces of the apartment surely belonging to you then he saw a familiar potted plant. It was a plant you had both grown together. Your minds were both at a blank for names at that moment so you just went with Pete. Pete the potted plant. Anyways, Jason budged the window open and crawled inside almost tripping which would have woken you up.
He shut the window as soon as he got in assuring that nothing or no one would get in. He quietly tiptoed over to your living room to see you passed out and the television on. He pinched the bridge of his nose knowing exactly what events transpired. It was starting to worry him how much times you stayed up at night to watch a series. You were taking almost the entire sofa with your laid position. Jay quickly took out his phone and snapped a quick picture of your cuteness. He shoved in his pocket and watched you for a few more moments. He noticed the small goosebumps developing on your skin so he took the liberty of placing a soft blanket he had gotten from your room. He closed the television and sat beside your head. He placed a small throw pillow under your head to make you feel more comfortable which it did greatly. He smiled seeing how safe and happy you were and eventually fell asleep as well next to you.
