Clichés (Jason Todd x Reader)

Summary: Jason doesn’t like clichés.

Pairings: Jason Todd x Reader

Warnings: nothin’ heh

a/n: heyy guyss, this is super early I know but you know ehhhhhhhh.. Also I forgot the account name of her, but tnx Sarah, you weird alien for the idea.. Sorta.. I changed it up a bit.. It was supposed to be Jay giving the reader a handgun for valentine’s instead of chocolates or all that cliché crepe so yeahh.. ps. I know it’s short compared to my usual 1000, sorry..

Jason wasn’t the type to be cliché. He did not want anything to do with cliché. Even slight mention of the word made him cringe. He loathed the fact that men would give their girlfriends chocolate in hopes of being ‘unique’ and ‘romantic’. He shook his head at it, but the problem was it was going to be that predictable and boring time of the year.

Valentine’s day.

Such a wondrous and alluring day, filled with couple’s public display of affection and probably a few proposals. The smell of flowers, chocolates and men’s cologne filled the air to create an atmosphere of love. This day was a common time to for love towards  that special person in the most passionate way possible, but Jay had other plans. He wanted to hangout at your house.

The aggressive knocking continued to sound around the quiet apartment. It has been five minutes and you still haven’t answered the door. At a situation like this the common response would being concerned and finding a way to get in to check if you were alright, but of course this is Jason we are talking about. Jason rolled his eyes figuring you were being the lazy ass you were for today and sleeping in. From a series of specific past experiences, he decided not to break the door down pissing you off. He exited the complex and sneaked into an alley beside the building. He looked up remembering which floor you were until someone grabbed his hand and pointed a gun to his head.

“Give me your stuff, pretty boy.”

Jason slowly sank in what was occurring and raised an eyebrow at the criminal. Was the thug so dumb to the point of threatening a young athletic looking man? Probably. Jason quickly flipped the criminal landing the said guy on the cold concrete. He groaned out in pain and Jay laughed in response.

“Look, I’m trying to get to my ‘sleeping beauty’, but if you wanna get in my way I have other possible actions.” He sighed happily pulling out a handgun. The criminal’s eyes widened and ran out of the alley.

Jason gazed up once again, pulling down the fire exit ladder fiercely. He climbed the ladder and pulled it back up. He continued upwards from there until he reached what he believed was your apartment. His eyes were glued on the window looking for any traces of the apartment surely belonging to you then he saw a familiar potted plant. It was a plant you had both grown together. Your minds were both at a blank for names at that moment so you just went with Pete. Pete the potted plant. Anyways, Jason budged the window open and crawled inside almost tripping which would have woken you up.

He shut the window as soon as he got in assuring that nothing or no one would get in. He quietly tiptoed over to your living room to see you passed out and the television on. He pinched the bridge of his nose knowing exactly what events transpired. It was starting to worry him how much times you stayed up at night to watch a series. You were taking almost the entire sofa with your laid position. Jay quickly took out his phone and snapped a quick picture of your cuteness. He shoved in his pocket and watched you for a few more moments. He noticed the small goosebumps developing on your skin so he took the liberty of placing a soft blanket he had gotten from your room. He closed the television and sat beside your head. He placed a small throw pillow under your head to make you feel more comfortable which it did greatly. He smiled seeing how safe and happy you were and eventually fell asleep as well next to you.

My cat scared the living tar outta me today, seems like a regular problem that would pop up when living with a Tamaranean

I guess you…saved me. So…
- Cool.

Christmas Dinner - Jason Todd x Reader

Prompt: Damian and the bat fam is going to Dami’s little gf house for Christmas and her older sister opens the door and Jason falls in love with the sister.

“Remind me again why I’m the one who has to drive you to your girlfriend’s house.” Jason complained.

“Because Grayson is on a date with his flavor of the month and Drake taking me would result in one of us being obliterated. You were the logical option.” Damian explained. “Besides my girlfriend wants to meet you for whatever reason. Something about wanting to meet all of my brothers and you being the last to hold out.”

“Well isn’t she sweet.” Jason commented dryly as he pulled into your driveway. “Alright amscray.” Jason said when the car came to a stop.

“Not a chance. She will kill me if she doesn’t meet you.” Damian said shaking his head. Jason sighed in defeat and shut off the ignition.

“Fine.” Jason sighed, zipping up his coat in preparation for facing the bitter cold. He didn’t wait to see if Damian was following him when he quickly made his way over to the door. Might as well get this over with.

Jason rang the doorbell and shoved his hands in his pocket while he waited for someone to answer the door. He expected Damian’s girlfriend or hell one of her parent’s. He certainly didn’t expect to be greeted by the captivating vision that was Damian’s girlfriend’s sister. Jason’s jaw dropped at the sight of you while you stood there staring at him expectantly.

Say something asswipe! Jason’s mind shouted at him.

“Uh … Hi.” Jason said. He intended to say something smoother

“Hi? Can I help you?” You asked. Jason couldn’t help but be utterly enchanted by the sound of your voice. God, it sounded like music to his ears.

“I - uh … well you see …” Jason stuttered, completely struck by your presence.

“Hey [Y/N]. The bumbling idiot with the fly trap mouth is my brother.” Damian greeted

“Oh I see … does he have a name?” You asked flirtatiously. Damian shoved his elbow into Jason’s side when he didn’t immediately answer. Jason blinked rapidly and shut his mouth in attempt to regain composure. He was making a fool of himself.

“Jason. My name’s Jason.” He answered perhaps a little too eagerly. What was wrong with him today? Why did you reduce him to acting like some sort of love sick teenager? He was a grown man, he knew how to talk to women so why were you any different.

You let out the most adorable laugh and opened the door open further invitingly.

“It’s nice to meet you Jason. Would you like to stay for Christmas dinner? I made dessert.” You said temptingly with a suggestive wink. Jason melted inside at your proposition and immediately wanted to agree. He had never been one to be all that big on Christmas or family gatherings but if it meant he could have the chance to get to know you better he couldn’t find the sign up sheet fast enough.

“Sure!” Jason and Damian said simultaneously. Damian shot a glare in Jason’s direction and Jason gave him a defiant look in return.

“Great! The more the merrier!” You said happily, taking Jason by the hands and pulling him into your parents home. As you gave Jason the tour of the home and introduced him to everyone, Jason could vaguely hear Damian grumbling behind him.

“ … should have asked Tim to drive.”

Early Christmas gifts - Jason Todd x Reader (Day 5)

Prompt: Jason proposing to his s/o on Christmas

Requested by: anon

Jason had never been so nervous in his life. He had killed drug Lords, battled aliens and broke Tim’s coffee machine but none of that compared to the amount of fear he felt brewing in himself. He had the ring picked out for a while now and had it reserved for him for 4 months before he plucked up the courage to actually ask you. Jason had saved every penny he could from his missions to get you a ring that you would like. To be honest, you would’ve been happy with a haribo ring if Jason had been the one to give it to you, but Jason wanted to make it special.

He was currently sitting at the kitchen table in the manor examining the ring and trying to decide the best way to ask you. He was in the middle of practicing his speech aloud when you walked into the room and wrapped your arms around his neck. “What ya doing?” you asked.

Jason had never moved so fast in his life. He put the ring into his pocket and jumped out of the chair in 0.1 of a second, knocking your head in the process. He turned around to see you standing there with your hand firmly pressed to your bleeding nose. “Oh my god, I’m so sorry! Are you alright?”

“What the hell are you doing, jason?”

“You just scared me, babe.” Jason said trying to pull off the most convincing tone he could. You looked at him suspiciously knowing that it was very hard to scare Jason but believed him anyway.

Jason quickly moved the conversation on to something else and soon enough the both of you were baking Christmas cookies in the manor’s kitchen. And soon after that the both of you were in an intense food battle to the death. Jason was pelting hershey kisses across the room while you had candy canes as your weapon of choice.

You though you had lost Jason when two strong arms wrapped around your waste and threw you down onto the couch. “Jason” you squealed. Jason landed on top of you with a grunt and smiled up at you.

“Hey there.” Jason grinned at you. The both of you just lay there looking at each other for a second while the Christmas lights shone down upon the both of you. “Do you want your Christmas present early?”

“Jason, it’s Christmas day tomorrow. I’m sure I can wait.”

“Well, I can’t.” Jason said while standing up and pulling you up so that you were sitting on the couch in front of him. That was when he bent down onto one knee and pulled the flour covered ring out. You gasped while Jason dusted off the ring.

“(Y/-“ Jason started.

“Yes!” you screamed and tackled him to the floor. “Yes, yes, yes!”

Jason smiled the biggest grin you had ever seen grace his lips and placed the ring on your finger. He pressed his lips upon yours and said, “I love you.”

You were about to reply when the both of you heard Alfred’s creepily calm voice say, “Whoever did this to my kitchen will have hell to pay.”

Thank you for requesting! I hope you liked it :) feed back is always appreciated!

Holy shit guys I just realized something...

*“One day at a Time” Season Finale spoilers*

While watching the season for the 3rd time - Sue me, I love this show (actually don’t I’m broke as shit) - I saw something important.

In the season finale (Episode 13 “Quinces”), at the end of Elena’s choreographed dance(s) during her Quinceañera, there is a brief moment when the camera pans over to Penelope, Lydia, and Dr. Burkowitz to see them clapping.
(At 25:32 in/5:25 left)

It was then when I noticed it: Schneider’s seat was already empty. (You have to pause it at the right moment and look closely)

Which means he figured out before everyone else that Victor (Elena’s dad) was missing before the father daughter dance was even announced and went to go look for him.

I didn’t think I could love him even more than I already did, But it fills my heart to the brim to see how much he cares about Elena and her family.

Christmas Morning Cuddles - Jason Todd x Reader

A/N: It’s day 1 of the 12 Days of Christmas!!!!! Enjoy the floof!

Prompt: Could you do some cuddly holiday fluff with Jay? Maybe they are at the manor (the idea of everybody being happy and together on Christmas slays me just pls) and like really cute sweet waking up and then like Dick comes barreling in and belly flops on the bed like wake up bitches its Christmas? IDK I just want batfam Christmas and cuddles with Jay.

You woke to the feeling of Jason wrapping his around your waist and pressing soft lazy kisses every once and while on your neck and shoulder. You smiled lazily and snuggled closer to him, not ever bothering to open your eyes.

“‘Morning.” Jason mumbled, his voice heavy and gravelly with sleep. You cracked your eyes open slightly and smiled up at him. You reached up ever so slightly and pressed a kiss to the underside of your jaw. The two of you cuddled together in silence, simply enjoying the quiet Christmas morning. You could vaguely hear signs of life starting to stir downstairs but you weren’t just ready to leave your bubble just yet.

You and Jason probably would have stayed in bed all day if you could. You probably would have too if your blissful lazy morning wasn’t interrupted. You should have known that a ‘quiet morning’ doesn’t exist in this house.

Your peaceful bubble was popped when Dick burst through the door and jumped on Jason. Jason let out an aggravated groan and tried to push Dick off the bed.

“Come on guys! Get up! It’s Christmas!” Dick said excitedly like a kid on … well Christmas morning. He was already decked out in a hideous holiday sweater and Santa hat.

“Oh my god. Grow up.” Jason groaned

“We’ll be down in a few minutes, Dick.” You said laughing lightly at the two of them. Someone had to be the peacekeeper in this situation. At least Dick waited until a decent hour to bother you unlike last year.

“Alfred’s making breakfast, the entire family will be there! Merry Christmas!” Dick said enthusiastically before leaving the way he came with a noticeable pep in his step. Sweet Holy Night that boy loved Christmas perhaps a little too much.

“We should probably get up before he comes back and drags us out by our antlers.” You suggested. Jason made a low groaning noise and buried his head into your neck.

“Five more minutes.” He mumbled.

“Your funeral.” You joked, snuggling closer to him. You were going to enjoy every moment you could of this before you were both inevitably forced to join the rest of the family.
