If you’re about to get stabbed, just say ‘I have too much swagger for the dagger’ and they’ll leave you alone.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT WASN’T WHAT HAPPENED IN ARKHAM KNIGHT (PT. 1/?)

Rather than torturing Robin alone, Joker brings Harley along for the fun– and it doesn’t take long for her to convince Jason (and herself) that this is all a temporary character-building rough patch that will ultimately make him into his own man, free from the judgement or control of Batman and his ilk. Every day the Joker subjects Jason to a new agony, and every day Harley is there to clean him back up… and to tell him that she loves him, and she’s proud of him, and if she ever had a son she’d want one just like him. The end result is a new Jason Todd: one that not only hates the Batman, but is also fiercely loyal to Harley Quinn. When Joker dies before Bats can get him a cure to reverse the effects of taking Titan– leaving Harley without a center of gravity and Jason without a reason not to take revenge on his former mentor– the path is clear: find each other, find every other person who’s been failed by the Batman, and make Bruce pay.
