YOU GUYS I JUST WALKED INTO THE LIVING ROOM AND I LOOKED AT THE TV OUT OF HABIT AND STARTED TO WALK THROUGH AND INTO THE KITCHEN BUT I DID A DOUBLE TAKE BECAUSE MY GRANDPA IS WATCHING THE FUCKING L-WORD!

I was like, “Paw… why are you watching the L-Word?”

“There isn’t really much else on. I’ve been flipping around and I came across this several times so I stayed on it. I don’t know what it’s about, really.”

“… it’s a good show…about lesbians.”

“What?”

“It’s a show… ALL. ABOUT. LESBIANS.”

“Oh… well, I don’t need that, do I?”

*shrugs* “To each their own I guess.”

I THINK I JUST CONFUSED HIM YOU GUYS I JUST MADE AN AMBIGUOUS STATEMENT ABOUT MY SEXUALITY TO THE ONLY FAMILY MEMBER I’M NOT OUT TO AND I’M NOT EVEN WORRIED CUZ IT’S JUST SO DAMN FUNNY LOL.

If I ever made a list of favorite stand-alone scenes on TV, which would be fucking impossible, it would definitely include this moment in The L Word where Bette is looking at that piece of artwork in Peggy Peabody’s hotel room.  She starts crying because she’s so overcome by what she’s seeing and the emotion of it all.  Jennifer Beals’s acting in this scene is brilliant.  Really and truly astonishing.    (“Lies, Lies, Lies,” S1E4)
