tired and drained

Cuddling with Mike Dodds headcanons

  • Mike isn’t usually the type of guy you’d think would be really into cuddling
  • He doesn’t do all that much. Too busy and doesn’t always physically express his affection
  • But I’m sure Mike does enjoy a nice cuddle now and again
  • After a hard case and he’s tired and emotionally drained, he’ll just lay on the bed with his head on your chest. Listening to your heartbeat and let your fingers run through his hair
  • Mike loves when you stroke his hair
  • And he loves when you just talk and he can listen because he’s probably spent the entire day having to talk to other people, so it’s nice to just listen and relax
  • Hugs you tight and doesn’t let you go, even when he falls asleep
  • On lighter days, Mike enjoys it when you just lay an arm over his midsection and basically use him as a pillow
  • Because then, he can rest his head on yours and it kinda feels like he’s protecting you
  • It feels like you’re here and you’re safe and alive
  • Cuddling with Mike would go a long way helping him establish that everything it okay

After Keith’s near suicide attempt, Shiro (whether the real one or Kuron clone) and Matt scold Keith, hug him hard, and later that night they all three sleep in the same bed with Keith purposely wedged tightly inbetween octopus limbs and chests and faces, because they almost lost their boy, and how could he almost do that, and they must make it clear they love him. For once, a tired and very emotionally drained Keith likes it. Correction: He loves it and never wants to leave this spot.

Empaths

An Empath is a person who has the ability to feel and share other people’s feelings and pains. Empaths are very sensitive to their surroundings, what they eat, and who they are around.  Naturally, Empaths are kind, good-hearted, spiritually attuned, and excellent listeners.

Are you an Empath?

  • You know stuff without being told
  • Public places, like malls or busy grocery shops, can be overwhelming
  • You feel others emotions and pains by taking them on as your own
  • Seeing violence, cruelty, bullying is unbearable.
  • You know when someone is lying to you
  • You pick up physical symptoms off of other people such as colds, body aches, headaches, pains, etc.
  • You have digestive disorders or lower back pains.
  • You are always looking out for the underdog. Anyone whose suffering, in emotional pain or being bullied draws your attention.
  • Others will always want to unload problems on you, even strangers.
  • You are a good listener.
  • You are constantly tired and drained of energy.
  • You are drawn to healing, holistic therapies, and all things metaphysical.
  • You have a creative streak and a vivid imagination.
  • You have a love for nature and animals. You find yourself constantly outside connecting with animals and seeking refuge in nature.
  • You need lots of alone time or you will go crazy.
  • You get bored or easily distracted if not stimulated.
  • You find it impossible participate in things you do not enjoy.
  • You strive for truth and honesty
  • You are always looking for answer and knowledge. You always are found with you nose in a book.
  • You like adventure, freedom, and traveling.
  • You have a messy room, desk, locker, etc.
  • You constantly and seem to be in your own little world.
  • You find rules, routine, and control imprisoning.
  • You find yourself prone to gaining weight without necessarily overeating
  • You are able to sense the energy of food and often do not eat meat from an animal that was mistreated.
  • You have been labeled as overly emotional or too sensitive.
  • Your feelings are hurt easily.
  • Animals and children take a natural liking to you.
  • You are fairly quiet especially in crowds.

If you answered yes to all or most of these you are definitely an empath.

and then there are days when the simple act of breathing leaves you exhausted. it seems easier to give up on this life. the thought of disappearing brings you peace. for so long i was lost in a place where there was no sun. where there grew no flowers. but every once in a while out of the darkness something i loved would emerge and bring me to life again.

As tired, drained, and as exhausted as you are;

You do make a difference.

No matter how many mistakes, mess ups, or failures that you’ve had;

You do make a difference.

The world would be lacking if you were not here. In every aspect. In every way. Why?

Because you do make a difference.

I’m such a sucker for Tony falling asleep in the lab. And the bots trying to “tuck him in”–putting a blanket on him, all of that.

Of course, their fumbling and bumping around immediately wakes him up but he pretends to still be asleep because it makes them so happy, and eventually he genuinely does fall back asleep, so calm and relaxed in his lab, surrounded by his robots.

Your feet brushed against the cold kitchen tiles, a shiver trailing through your body as you made your way to the fridge for a late night snack. You grabbed a plate of brownies, showing the fridge close with your elbow before making your way to the television room.

You were surprised to find it empty, smiling to yourself as you relished in the idea of being able to pick a movie for once as you planted yourself on the couch. You placed the plate on the sofa table, bringing a brownie to your mouth as you browsed through the selection available on Netflix until you found something of your liking. Another shiver trailed down your spine, your body being tired and drained of energy from the mission and you reached over to the blanket at and brought it over your legs. Your eyes landed on a grey hoodie, figuring it was Steve’s you contently threw it over your shoulders and enjoyed the warmth and smell of the large garment that covered your figure.
