…..juice is the truth! Simply blend and drink up! No water needed, but optional.
Watermelon is a superfood that is epic for detoxing! Which is why I love it. Detoxing allows us to purge and vibrate higher. It activates wellness and raises our frequency; mind, body and spirit. We come into contact with so many pollutants and toxins in the air and water….let alone through people, energy traps and energy vampires. Detox often, as you continue your life’s journey of vibrating higher daily.
I drink a few glasses daily and will often do a 3 day juice fast with just watermelon juice, freshly squeezed lemon juice added to it and plenty of water in between. Google the many other amazing benefits of Watermelon/juice.
Be love. Be well. -Lalah Delia | VibrateHigherDaily

Skin Care Routine:

natural organic products for ur skin is a better choise. harsh chemicals can do damage to your comlexion and your hormone balance. Nature has a lot to offer to make us beautiful.

  • I wash my face 2x a day with Weleda Almond facial cleanser ( I also like products by Aveeno and CeraVe - whatever you choose, make sure it doesn’t contain SLS)
  • spray organic Rose water on my face
  • dab face with gentle towel
  • use a mix of ½ sweet almond oil and ½ grape seed oil to moisturize face and neck ( about 3 drops is enough)
  • message face and neck for at least 2 minutes ( watch face yoga videos on youtube)- it does wonders for your skin, i noticed that it clears the skin and gives it a beautiful glow and you’ll feel great
  • apply 1 drop of tea tree oil to blemish/zits…
  • apply coconut oil to lips
  • not really skin care but - apply a mixture of ¼ castor oil, ¼ jojoba oil. ¼ almond oil, ¼ grapeseed oil to your eyebrows and eyelashes using a clean mascara brush - they’ll grow like crazy
  • make sure to drink at least 2 liters of water each day and eats lots of fruits and green vegetables. Carrots are also great for the complexion.
  • once/ twice a week do a facial scrub using baking soda followed by a mask .
  • mask can be : 1. clay mask for purifying 2. honey mask for moistruizing and healing.
  • avoid eating junk food and salty foods and stick to a healthy diet.
  • drink 2 cups of green tea to detox
  • massage your neck downwards, putting slight pressure on your lymph nodes to detox your face and help rid of toxins - this can also help in losing baby fat in face.
  • steam masks are so good, they clear up your skin, detox, purify and you’ll feel great. boil some water, add a drop of tea tree oil/ green tea bags/ nothing and place your face above the bowl for about 10 minutes.
Tips for Yoga Beginners

I took my friend to yoga yesterday, and although he does some yoga at home, this was his very first class, so I got to watch a noob in action.

Some things I think I’ll mention for beginner yogis:

1. Watch your stance in warriors and chairs. Too wide and you might hurt youself by straining. Too narrow and your balance will be super off.

2. Don’t chug water when they say take a break! Especially not cold water! That much water intake when you’re hot and sweaty will come right back up or just make you feel nasty, especially if there are more down-dogs or inversions coming. Just sip room temp water on a break and fan yourself a bit with your shirt to cool off. If youre really overheating, take a few more minutes than the rest of the class.

3. Try not to hunch your shoulders up. I know your arms get tired and I know it takes practice, but relaxing your shoulders and letting your arms really work will benefit you.

4. In downward facing dog, put your feet as far apart as feels comfortable. If you can get your heels down with your feet touching, great. If you have to have them wide apart on the edges of your mat, that’s ok, too. And always feel free to bend your knees if your hamstrings are tight.

5. If you fall out of something, it’s fine! Everyone falls out of a pose sometime. Just take a breath and try to get back in the pose, or modify it so that you can still do the general idea.

6. Don’t worry about what others are doing around you. Concentrate on YOUR breathing, YOUR posture, YOUR stretch and pose. Comparing yourself to someone who has done years of yoga might make you feel inadequate, and that is NOT what yoga if there for. You can get there, too.

Keep doing yoga and learn new things about your body and mind!

Ways to take Yoga Classes for Cheap

I often hear people say they would love to do yoga, but it’s too expensive. When I first started doing yoga consistently, I was not able to afford a studio membership, so I definitely get it. However, over the years I have learned there are a few ways you can do yoga classes on the cheap if you are strapped for cash.

  1. Search for online yoga. There are free youtube videos (Tara Stiles and Yoga with Adriene are popular), there are free apps, podcast classes, and you can even subscribe to online programs that are a lot cheaper than studio classes. I did a lot of youtube yoga before I was able to afford a studio membership!
  2. Use platforms like facebook, instagram, and meetup.com to search for yoga groups in your area. They will often host/post about free/donation based yoga classes around town. This is also a really fun way to meet new friends!
  3. Many studios will offer at least one karma class (free classes) or a donation based class (usually with a recommended donation of $5 or $10). Search studio schedules on Mind Body, or reach out to them and ask.
  4. Reach out to studios and ask if they have a karma program. A karma program is where a yoga student who cannot afford a membership exchanges labor for free classes. For example, they will clean the studio before/after class, or run the front desk in exchange for a class. If the studio says no, you can always ask if they would be interested in making this arrangement with you.
  5. If you have a skill or provide a service, you can always ask a yoga instructor if they would be interested in bartering for private lessons. For example, if you are a massage therapist, you could swap an hour of massage for an hour of yoga. My yoga teacher was a hair dresser before she got into yoga, and her yoga instructor would swap private classes for hair cuts/colors. Make sure it is a fair trade for BOTH parties.

Do you know of any great books that are about life, positivity and getting your life together? I really need one I could read, I feel like it can change my life and outlook on things

2 years ago I did read some self help books (during bus rides aaah old times).

So. Starting with the books I can remember (all of wich you can find free pdfs online):

  • The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People - Stephen Covey
  • The Power Of Habit - Charles Duhigg
  • 10 Steps to Earning Awesome Grades (While Studying Less) - Thomas Frank (free)
  • Eat That Frog - Brian Tracy

Just those alone can bring you a lot of value if you study them. There are a ton more you can look up with a simple google search.

Life advice and positive videos / channels I’m currently into:

  • search Les Brown, Eric Thomas and Tony Robbins on youtube and listen, take notes to their lectures. Life changing.
  • Absolute MotivationMotivation2Study and Be Inspired - these short cheesy videos give surprisingly real life advice and boosting motivation.
  • Gary Vaynerchuk - his daily vees inspire me, along with his work ethic and constant positivity. Gives real life advice.
  • Yoga With Adriene - last but not least, this channel is all about self love and self discovery and I found yoga specifically with her, her talk throughs and meditations helped me so much. Adriene is one of the best persons and just a beam of light , just pick one of her videos and see.

Anyways hopefully you’ll check out these and be inspired. I know the last ones are kind of weird but give them a try and you’ll see what I mean.

But most importantly you HAVE this knowledge in you.. you just have to get it out through practice. Practice self love, practice being patient, being emotionally stable, practice positivity and balance.

20 skin things I've learnt at 20

Number 16

Stress can fuck with your body in ways you cannot imagine.

Up until recently I had dismissed stress as being a factor for any health issue really. But oh boy, it can mess you and your skin up.

When we get stressed out body releases adrenaline which is this fight or flight energy. Which was useful back in caveman days when needing to fight/run away from dangerous animals. But what happens these days is that we internalise our stress. We may be stressed over an exam or a struggling relationship, the adrenaline that’s been released has no use in these situations.

When adrenaline is release it has an effect on the pituitary gland in our brain, the place where your hormones are released and stimulates it to release another bunch or hormones, which as we know hormonal acne is a thing, a big thing!

So what can we do?

We can try and prevent and manage stress. Actively practicing yoga, mindfulness or medication actually works. Gives your brain free time to actually process situations.

Exercise. If you are stressed, that fight or flight hormone has been released so use it to prevent it triggering other hormones and becoming a spotty hormonal mess. Go for a run, get the energy and stress out of you.

Hopefully by knowing this, you can maybe make some lifestyle changes which help your hormonal stress outbreaks.

Pictured above is a yoga DONT, yoga DONT, and then the yoga DO

In the first picture, we see the knee beyond the 90 degree angle. Here the person is putting a lot of energy into the knee joint.

In the second picture, we see overarching of the low back. This can pinch your low back. You can correct this by thinking of pulling the ribs back into your spine a little bit.

The last picture shows a nice, neutral lunge.

Sunny Yogi’s Guide to Crow Pose ♥

Arm balances are a great way to find balance and build arm muscles. They are also great for practicing for inversions :) Here is my how to guide on how to do crow pose.

I would like to mention, that I’m not a yoga teacher and these steps are based off of my experience.

Step One: Start off Standing

Root your feet to the ground.  It’s always good to start off with a strong foundation.

Step Two: Buddha Squat

From standing, drop down into a buddha squat.  Root your feet down, make sure your back is straight and your chest is lifted.  In this pose you can also use your elbows to push against your thighs to create a hip opener stretch.

Step Three: Place hands on the ground, and lean forward.

While in buddha squat set your hands on the floor and then lean forward pressing your knees gently on your upper arm. Make sure your eyes are looking forward- do not collapse your head.

Step Four: Bend arms slightly. Lean forward a little and press your knees into your arms.

Bend your arms slightly and lean forward, pressing your knees into your arms.  For beginners maybe try to stay in this pose for awhile, engaging your core and finding your balance.

I should probably mention that for some people, your arms might hurt if your knees are pressing into your skin.  Wear longer pants!

Step Five: Raise one leg up. Look forward, keeps eyes looking ahead, and bend your arms some more.

This step is a good step to practice before you get into the full arm balance.  Raise one leg up and engage your core.  Alternate your legs back and forth. Make sure you can do this step before continuing on :)

Make sure your head is not collapsed; head up and eyes looking ahead.

Step Six: Raise both legs up. Engage that core!

Taking a deep breath, raise your other leg up! Make sure your core is engaged.  KEEP YOUR HEAD RAISED AND YOUR EYES FIXED FORWARD.

Yay, you are now doing crow pose :)

Additional tips:

  • Wear longer pants if your knees hurt the skin on your arms.
  • Put a pillow in front of you if you are afraid of falling flat on your face (something I have done many times!).
  • Try each step out slowly.  Crow pose is not an easy pose.
  • Arm and ab exercises can help you improve this pose better.

Have fun, and be safe when practicing this pose!  Take a picture of your progress and tag me in it! I’d love to see all of your guy’s crow.

Namaste!
