An Open Letter to Justine Alpanta
Let’s end this once and for all shall we? You’re making too much of a scene. First of all, if you’re going to flame someone over the internet, make sure you absolutely know what you’re talking about. Otherwise, you will look really stupid.
You totally misunderstood the post and the comments. As others have pointed out, they are laughing not because they are street children but because of the hilarious pose that they made. It’s you whose being judgmental here. How sure are you that they are all indeed street children? Labeling others as poor because they look or dress that way is simply naive. You are disgusting. Second, it is with their own free will to pose for the camera. They were not forced to do so. They were in fact, happy at that moment. If you truly have a genuine concern for them, you shouldn’t be looking at them as poor, downtrodden, and miserable. If you’re going to voice out your opinion, be prepared to take criticisms. Learn how to properly address issues with others.
Sabi nga ni Dietrich, “By judging others we blind ourselves to our own evil and to the grace which others are just as entitled to as we are.”
I hope you enjoyed the attention that you got.
