okay but can we just stop and talk for a little while about this moment. this moment of Tim connecting with his comatose dad in a way he never could when Jack was conscious, talking about how scared and alone he feels because he’s thirteen and was thrust into this position where he is the city’s main line of defense against the Joker, the man who killed the last Robin. and he basically says his goodbyes because he knows that if his plan fails, there’s a good chance the Joker’s going to kill a second Robin that night.
Because it occurred to me when I was looking at some posts that information on it isn’t really all that widespread because the older Batman and Detective Comics issues are hard to find. Some of this is repeated from earlier posts - I sort of started this with Jack Drake’s Parenting Adventures, but that was a bit more focused on Robin-on, and also I have more information now! \o/!
Basically: SIT DOWN WHILE I TALK AT YOU ABOUT TIM DRAKE NO DON’T GET UP STAY WHERE YOU ARE :DDD
he still doesn’t even know where his parents are, Bruce left the country without telling him, nbd nbd he’s fine totally fine, I’m sure this kind of upbringing won’t have any kind of lasting negative effects.
