time lords and tardis

Meeting and travelling with the Tenth Doctor as a Time Lord/Lady would include:

  • Him being so confused and surprised but mostly not believing whatever you’re claiming because it’s supposedly impossible.
  • “But.. But that’s impossible!’’
  • Trying to explain to him what happened to you during and after the Time War which he doesn’t believe because no one, supposedly, could’ve escaped a million dalek ships hovering around the planet
  • “Ask me anything.’’
  • Him quizzing you over so many different things and still getting every answer right, after it he’s so confused but at the same time so happy to know that there’s still a Time Lord/Lady left in the universe beside him.
  • The Doctor getting jealous when it becomes clear the Tardis likes you a lot better than she liked him because you can actually fly the Tardis properly.
  • “Did you even pass your flying test?’’
  • Getting your own room and the Tardis helping you decorate it and you end up making it look like your room on Gallifrey
  • Whenever you end up on an alien planet outsmarting the Doctor and actually know more than the Doctor which makes him slightly annoyed but he really liked it because there’s finally someone smarter than him.
  • Meeting Donna and becoming best friends and you’re actually able to explain things so humans understand it instead of just rambling for twelve hours which sounds like nonsense to them.
  • Donna calling you timeboy/timegirl and loving how you’re always able to outsmart the Doctor.
  • “Super temp.’’
  • Always making sure Donna understands what is going on and always making her feel better whenever she doesn’t think she’s useful for anything because she doesn’t get it.
  • Meeting Martha who’s just as surprised as the Doctor but now that she’s moved on from him definitely enjoys your company and the way you are properly able to make him shut up.
  • Flying the Tardis instead of the Doctor and Donna continuously saying the Doctor should never fly again because you are actually able to fly the Tardis without constantly partially half-crashing.
  • The Doctor slowly falling for you.
  • Meeting Rose who’s quite jealous of you, meeting Jack who’s getting told of by the Doctor to stop, Sarah Jane Smith who’s surprised when there’s another time lord left but nice nonetheless.
  • Being extremely confused and angry by the fact there are still so many Daleks and what they’re doing.
  • Shocked when there’s a second Doctor and DoctorDonna but also extremely sad because you know that humans aren’t able to handle that and what’ll eventually happen.
  • “There’s four of you. I can’t tell you what I’m thinking right now!’’
  • “Everyone leaves but I won’t ever.’’

I realised now that i tried and successfully pulled myself away from fandoms for at least a month, that the reason I’m so ‘obsessed’ is that it distracts me from real life, and all the pain that is holds. That i sometimes feel identified with some characters, that I feel less isolated imagining them, and that somehow I feel they’re everything I have.
When I pulled myself apart, the reality surfaced and instead of staying up late, giggling at some cute ship, I stayed up late crying my eyes out at the pains the fandoms cover and burry, I stayed up late crying with a very know to me  feeling of emptiness, and you know what was the only thing I could manage to do then? While feeling I had nothing left? What I managed to do was cry out for castiel to save me.

Please never ever ever think of making fun of someone for being “obsessed” with certain book/TV show/ etc. You have no idea what it means to us.

She’ll be great. No, scratch that. She’ll be brilliant.
Every Doctor is.
That’s not going to change, even if the gender has.
Doesn’t matter. It’s the Doctor.
The Doctor in the TARDIS, flying about, getting into scrapes.
If you can’t love it just because the Doctor looks different, how the hell have you liked it in the past?

the Doctors as Homestuck classes

The aspect of the Doctor is obviously Time, and I really liked the idea that he would have a different class with each regeneration. Because that’s what regeneration is - you’re essentially the same person, just your appearance and attitude changes, so your aspect stays the same, you just interact with it in a different way.

These may not be 100% accurate, I haven’t watched all of Classic Who so I know some Doctors much better than the others.

1 - Thief. Stole the TARDIS and also two school teachers. Left his granddaughter on Earth and broke the TARDIS of another renegade Time Lord, the Monk (so stole their time-travelling abilities from them)

2 - Rouge. He had companions from different time periods, stealing them for their advantage. For example, he took an orphaned girl from the Victorian era and she ended up finding a new loving family in 2017

3 - Page. Starts with a lack of his aspect, being stuck on Earth, unable to fix the TARDIS to leave it for the longest time. Fixes it later and indulges in more awesome time shenanigans.

4 - Heir. Tom Baker has been the Doctor on screen for the longest time (7 years), he’s the icon of classic Who, embodying it in some way. Also he’s weird, like his wibbly-wobbly aspect.

5 - Mage. Mages suffer, and that’s what Peter Davison is really good for. He passes out in like, half of his episodes, if not more. Also during has era one of the most tragic deaths of a classic companion happened.

6 - Bard. The producers didn’t treat Colin Baker’s Doctor too well, so he became possibly the most unpopular Doctor. Although he’s redeemed in the books and audioplays. Also had an interesting dark side to him.

7 - Maid. He was really dark and had weird relationships with spacetime rules, sometimes really sticking to them, sometimes blatantly breaking them.

8 - Sylph. As the TV show was put on a 16-year-old hiatus, Paul Mcgann’s Doctor kept the fandom alive first in the TV movie and then in the countless audioplays.

9 - Seer. I feel like out of all the doctors, Christopher Eccleston’s was the best at “feeling” the time. Like in that scene from “The end of the world” when he was able to walk through the fast spinning fans. Or his speech in “Rose” about feeling the Earth spin under his feet.

10 - Prince. As the seasons evolved, Ten’s destructive intentions unraveled more and more, ending with “Doctor Victorious”. See “The Family of Blood” and “The Waters of Mars” when he literally went against the laws of time.

11 - Witch. The most time shenanigan inducing Doctor. Rewrote the laws of time on multiple occasions.

12 - Knight. Spent 4 billion years in the Confession dial for Clara and lost his vision protecting Bill. Nuff said.
