A longtime neighbour of the man who was found dead in a Timberlea home and is alleged to have been part of a mass shooting plot says he came from a good family.

Another story, this time from the local Halifax Chronicle Herald.

James Gamble’s Facebook profile shows a typical teen, interested in music including AC/DC, The Beatles, Rammstein and KMFDM. In August, he posted a photo of the first alcohol he bought legally — a bottle of Jack Daniels.
But his Tumblr blog shows a different story — photos of Gamble with a gun, photos of Nazis marching, footage and photos from the Columbine shooting, and a quote attributed to one of the Columbine shooters: “This is a weird time, weird life, weird existence.”
One post features Bart Simpson closing the blind on a window with the caption “February 14th is coming.”
A friend of Gamble’s, who did not want her name published, said “crime blogs” are not uncommon on tumblr.
“He was really kind of into the Columbine tag on Tumblr, but there’s a lot of people who are,” she said. “There’s a lot of crime blogs out there. It’s just an interest that some people have.”
The woman said she has only known Gamble for a few weeks, but described him as a quiet, sweet and gentle person who has struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts.
“I just want people to know that he’s not a monster,” she said. “All of this is a really big shock.”
The friend believes a rumour she has heard that it was Gamble himself who tipped the police off about the plot.
“I feel like he realized things were getting way out of hand,” she said. “He realized they were serious about it and it was too late to back out and he did what he could.”

Canadian police say they have foiled a plot to carry out a mass shooting in the Halifax area on Saturday.
Three suspects were arrested and a fourth reportedly shot himself dead after police surrounded his home.
At least two suspects had intended “to go to a public venue… with a goal of opening fire to kill citizens, and then themselves”, police said.
Police officials said the motive did not appear to be terrorism, without providing further details.
Brian Brennan, commanding officer of the Nova Scotia Royal Canadian Mounted Police, said the plot had involved a 19-year-old man from the Halifax suburb of Timberlea and a 23-year-old woman from the US state of Illinois.
The two, he said, had had access to firearms.
When police went to arrest the 19-year-old man from the Halifax suburb of Timberlea, he killed himself, a senior police official told AP news agency on condition of anonymity.
A 20-year-old Canadian man was arrested along with the woman at Halifax Stanfield International Airport. The fourth suspect, a 17-year-old Canadian boy, was arrested at a house.
The roles of the latter two suspects was still to be determined by investigators, police said.
'Obsessed with killing'
Mr Brennan said he would describe the alleged plotters as a “group of individuals that had some beliefs and were willing to carry out violent acts against citizens but there’s nothing in the investigation to classify it as a terrorist attack”.
"I can tell you that it’s not culturally based," he added.
Police believe they have apprehended “all known individuals in this matter and eliminated the threat”, he added.
According to the official who spoke to AP, the man who killed himself had told them he had no guns but he shot himself as he was coming out of the house.
The suspects had been on a chat stream and were apparently obsessed with killing and death and had many photos of mass killing, the anonymous official added.
Steven Blaney, the minister for public safety, said the arrests were a “great example of the fine work they do on a daily basis to help keep Canadians safe”, Canada’s CBC News reports.

fandomobsessedteen asked:

I've missed a lot, got my sleep Fucked up. What's going on with James Gamble? I have no idea who that is or what's going on...if you would explain? ?

Correct me if I’m wrong anyone cause I don’t really know the full details.

James Gamble ( shallow-existences ) committed suicide.

"One man is dead and three people are in custody in relation to the plot, said police at a press conference Friday evening. The 19-year-old deceased man was reported dead in Timberlea, N.S.on Friday morning. Police said they believe everyone involved in the plot has been detained and all weapons are in custody.

RCMP said the Timberlea man and a 23-year-old Geneva, Illinois woman had access to firearms and were planning to kill as many people as possible at a public venue in Halifax before killing themselves. The plan was to take place on Saturday, Feb. 14, said police.

Information was provided to police regarding a potential significant weapons-related threat on Thursday. RCMP and Halifax regional police from the Criminal Investigations Division are both investigating.

Evidence also suggested that two other males, aged 20 and 17, of Halifax and Cole Harbour respectively, were involved. Police said their role in the plot is still under investigation.

Investigators located the 19-year-old male suspect at a Tiger Maple Avenue residence around 1:20 a.m. Friday morning.

An Emergency Response Team entered his residence and found him deceased. The Nova Scotia Serious Incident Response Team is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

Around 2 a.m. Friday, police arrested the 20-year-old male and 23-year-old female suspects without incident at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport. Shortly after 11 a.m., police went on to arrest the 17-year-old male suspect without incident at a Cole Harbour residence.

The suspects remain in police custody and the Integrated Criminal Investigations Division continues to investigate.”

Virtual tour of 16 Tiger Maple Dr including panoramic scenes, photo gallery, map view, property brochure and property information

What’s really weird is that since shallow-existences/James Gamble’s house was for sale, you can take a “virtual tour” of it.  And it looks like the room in the front with the window boarded up is the kitchen.  Which may (or may not) be where it all “went down.”
