“It is a fearful thing to hate whom God has loved. To look upon another—his weaknesses, his sins, his faults, his defects—is to look upon one who is suffering. He is suffering from negative passions, from the same sinful human corruption from which you yourself suffer. This is very important: do not look upon him with the judgmental eyes of comparison, noting the sins you assume you would never commit. Rather, see him as a fellow sufferer, a fellow human being who is in need of the very healing of which you are in need. Help him, love him, pray for him, do unto him as you would have him do unto you.”

Hey guys I finally got Pesterchum :33

I’m using my fantroll’s trolltag, greyscaleLarcenist :D add me and pester me if you wanna~

if you wanna talk in-character with him, keep in mind that i’m still kinda developing Tikhon’s personality and whatnot… but for me, the easiest way to figure out my characters is to just jump in and start writing them and just figure out the rest as i go along |D

>also. i’ve changed his quirk a bit.<

>since he has such sensitive ears. it wouldn’t make sense for him to have the ending word of every sentence in allcaps. he hates loud noises. and loud people.<

>so now. he uses all lowercase. replaces commas with periods. and puts these pointy things around his words.<

>he’s still obsessed with fours. and will sometimes get really really really really flustered and repeat his words in fours.<

>just so you know.<

A wonderful response to the 21 Copts killed by IS in Libya. From Metropolitan Tikhon of the Orthodox Church of America:

‘There are those who would overcome the world with weapons of violence, but this is not our way. There are those who cling to death and to sin in order to bring about more death and more evil, but this is not our way. There are those who blame religion for tragedies such as the one we mourn today, but they are blind to the reality that true believers become such only when their hearts are purified of sin and their lives filled with the light of the Resurrection.

Let us, who stand fast in our faith in Christ and His eternal victory, remember that He alone has trampled on death by His own voluntary death. Let us, who are filled with the hope of the resurrection, give glory to God for the martyric witness of the 21 souls who now witness to this victory. And let us, who each struggle in our own way to remain faithful to God, give example in our own lives of those things which we hold dear—Peace, rather than violence; love, rather than hate; and forgiveness, rather than revenge.’
