You call yourself a free spirit, a wild thing, and you’re terrified somebody’s going to stick you in a cage. Well, baby, you’re already in that cage. You built it yourself. And it’s not bounded in the west by Tulip, Texas, or in the east by Somaliland. It’s wherever you go. Because no matter where you run, you just end up running into yourself.

things my favorite fob songs remind me of
  • w.a.m.s: sleepless nights, grabbing fistfuls of your own hair out of frustration, leather boots, fucking because it's as close as you can get to love
  • tiffany blews: bonfires, the dead of night, two people falling apart at each other's hands, self-destruction, runny mascara, glinting eyes, going 100 mph through hairpin turns
  • west coast smoker: fistfights, defiance shining in your eyes, white knuckles, ruthlessness, wide aggressive smiles, ripped jeans, crumpled packs of cigarettes, cockiness masking terror
  • headfirst slide into cooperstown: old love that won't die, twisted thoughts, going back to bad habits, gold rings, sitting in long grass at sunset in the middle of summer
  • the carpal tunnel of love: crumpled and torn love letters, wondering how things got so vicious, kisses with lots of teeth, broken bottles, metal glinting silver in moonlight
  • i slept with someone in fall out boy: heavy makeup, quickies in alleyways, hearts beating hard, feeling unclean, loving the body and hating the person, sabotage and revenge
  • dance, dance: arguments all the time except when you're making love, scars words can't fix, the leftover confetti after a big celebration, smiles hiding misery, the resentment of being shorted what you deserve
  • where did the party go: the crash after a party, neon lights, cigarette smoke, swirling heads, not letting go of what you should, hopeless love, nostalgia
  • my songs know what you did in the dark: gasoline, crazy smiles, flickering streetlights, bared teeth, god complexes, clenched fists, prominent veins
  • just one yesterday: holy water, rose-colored glasses, burning old love letters, confidence masking insecurity, revolvers stuffed into waistbands, grabbing someone by the collar to kiss them
  • fourth of july: apology letters never sent, lighting matches, knowing there is no second chance, a lump in your throat, turning away so they won't see you cry

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Epilogue

Five Days Later

You hadn’t seen Tiffany since the first night you had sex with Yoongi. To be honest, you didn’t really want to hear the same conversation you’ve already had with her again, but this time you knew it was going to be worse because she actually knew Yoongi. The two of you decided to get lunch and she was running late. Like always. It had been a few days since you had seen him last and you were re-reading your text conversation when you heard someone clear their throat.

Tiffany looked at you suspiciously, with one eyebrow cocked. She didn’t say a word to you as she sat down at the table. She didn’t put her phone on the tablecloth so you knew she meant business. “Things going well? I’m assuming” her tone half annoyed, half serious.

“Why do you have to say it like that, Tiff?” you knew how this conversation was going to go.

“What do you mean?” you shot her a look, telling her to drop the act. “Okay, fine. I’m just nervous. I’m always fucking nervous when you start seeing someone. Or not seeing someone. I don’t even know what to call it. I’ve known Yoongi since college and you know I love you to death. The two of you are a lot alike and I don’t want either of you to get hurt, okay?”

You sighed, “I hear what you’re saying. But Yoongi and I are both adults. He and I have talked about it. If either one of us is uncomfortable with the situation we can choose to not continue”

She shook her head as you spoke, “Do you think it’s going to be that easy? Y/N, how many times have you gone through this? The guy is always willing to agree to your arrangement but then emotions get involved, like they do with every other human on the planet. How many times are you going to walk down this road before you end up heartbroken?”

“I will be fine. I am always fine, Tiffany” you tried assuring her. She did have a point, but you knew how to keep your guard up. You knew what the wrong signs were.

“I know what, but one day you’re not going to be fine Then what are you going to do?”

Netflix has announced season 5 of Arrested Development will premiere in 2018:

The Bluths are back. Again!!! Netflix today announced series creator Mitchell Hurwitz and the entire series regular cast, including: Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter, Will Arnett, Tony Hale, Portia de Rossi, David Cross and Alia Shawkat will return for a fifth season to premiere exclusively for Netflix members worldwide in 2018.

“In talks with Netflix we all felt that stories about a narcissistic, erratically behaving family in the building business – and their desperate abuses of power – are really underrepresented on TV these days,” said series creator Mitchell Hurwitz. He added, “I am so grateful to them and to 20th TV for making this dream of mine come true in bringing  the Bluths, George Sr., Lucille and the kids;  Michael, Ivanka, Don Jr., Eric, George-Michael, and who am I forgetting, oh Tiffany.  Did I say Tiffany? — back to the glorious stream of life.”

“Arrested Development brings us structures, outerwear and choreography like no other comedy in history,” mused Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos, leafing through photos of the banana stand, never nudes and Chicken Dances. “Season Four marked the first foray by Netflix into original comedy programming and this time, the Bluths will collectively be spending more quality time with their millions of fans around the world”

"Arrested Development remains one of the iconic franchises we, Ron and Brian are asked about most,” commented Fox Television Group Chairmen and CEOs Dana Walden and Gary Newman. “It’s a testament to the brilliance of Mitch’s creation, the passion of his audience, and the love his cast holds in their hearts for his writing and characters that we have been able to ‘get the band back together ’ not once but twice since the Emmy-winning original run. Get ready, America. The Bluths are coming back.”

“I love working with Mitch. He is a genius and the rarest of original thinkers. He brings a richness to the characters and the storylines that makes the series memorably fun,” said executive producer Brian Grazer.

“Whew! I can finally answer the question… Hell yes! Warming up my uncredited narrator vocal chords. Now the only thing I will have to be coy about is all the craziness the Bluths are going to face this season,” said executive producer Ron Howard.

Arrested Development centers around Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman) and his eccentric family comprised of his son George Michael (Michael Cera), his father George Bluth Sr. (Jeffrey Tambor), his mother Lucille (Jessica Walter), his brothers George Oscar Bluth II (Will Arnett), Buster Bluth (Tony Hale) and sister Lindsay Funke (Portia de Rossi), and Lindsay’s husband Tobias (David Cross) and their daughter Maeby (Alia Shawkat).

Mitchell Hurwitz, Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Jim Vallely and Richie Rosenstock are executive producers on Arrested Development, and it is produced by Imagine TV and 20th Century Fox Television for Netflix. Arrested Development has garnered accolades from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Emmy®), AFI, the Golden Globes, Producer’s Guild Awards, Screen Actor’s Guild, the Television Critics Association and the Writer’s Guild, among others.

Batgirl: Futures End

“Girls. I am sorry. This is a poor than you for your courage and valor. But I’m afraid this is a fight I have to make alone. Stephanie, you have the heart of a lion, in every way that matters. You had the strength to resist the darkness where I did not. Tiffany, your day will come. Don’t be afraid of your intelligence. I believe you will outshine us all. Cassandra, you came through Hell and made everyone you met stronger and better. You are the person I most want to be.”

This is another good moment, so emotional and heartfelt, and of course it once again focuses on the relationships that bring most people to read this comic to begin with. It focuses on Barbara and the girls who carry her legacy, the family she has made in this dystopian future. And it’s complete with little nods to characters’ histories like how Steph helped pull Babs out of the dark in “Flood” storyline of her own series, or how Cassandra spent her time as Batgirl with a full facemask but still showed so much emotion and openness.

It’s good stuff.

It’s the kind of stuff I’d like to see an entire issue consist of. But well. It didn’t.

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Epilogue

Three Weeks Later

“You need to figure your shit out, Y/N” Tiffany spat. “Because what you’re doing to Jungkook is really unfair”

You couldn’t look her in the eye, “I know. I just don’t want to lose him”

“Y/N, you’re going to lose someone, regardless of who you choose. And Yoongi is going through with the wedding. He already chose someone else” you know she was trying to talk some sense into you, but her obvious bias was making things hard.

“I know okay! Fuck. You’re making me out to be like some cold-hearted bitch” you spat.

“I’m just being honest with you. Since you’re obviously not being honest with yourself” you were starting to hate these weekly lunches. You had made the mistake of telling Tiffany how you felt about Yoongi and she has been pressuring you to make a decision ever since.

But it was complicated. You loved Jungkook. You really truly did. You could feel it in your bones. It was a sure thing. But Yoongi. Yoongi slipped through the cracks. Filling in the spaces of your thoughts. Always thinking about what could have been. What could have happened if you had just chased after him. But now, he was engaged to someone else. Someone who would probably make him happier than you.

You hadn’t stopped dreaming about him. Almost every single night the two of you showed up on the beach. Each time you got to hold onto him for a little bit longer. But in the end, he always disappeared. Each time you would wake up next to Jungkook feeling guilty. Feeling like your subconscious had betrayed you.

The snapping of fingers in front of your face brought you back to reality. Tiffany wasn’t amused. “Did you hear anything I just said to you?”

You shook your head, “I’m sorry, I spaced out. What were you saying?”

She rolled her eyes, “I was letting you know that your final fitting for your bridesmaid dress is Wednesday afternoon. I need you to be at the tailor’s at noon”

“Okay” you said.

Tiffany sighed, “I know I’ve been riding your ass lately, but I’m just worried about you. I don’t want anyone else getting hurt”

You took a deep breath, “I know”
