tied with love actually

Since Tumblr seems to be the new magic lamp, can I make a wish?

Hello OL tumblr genie watching out there *waves*

How about we get some OL promo instead of asking fans for money, political tweets, gym pictures and trying to make non cast members relevant?

Sincerely,

A SHOW fan

I adore every single moment where Ezekiel does literally anything and Jacob gets frustrated about it.

At a parent-teacher conference
  • Ryoba: Fu fu fu~ Your daughter ended up helping my daughter. How ironic! I guess the world is a strange, strange place after all, darling!
  • Journalist: At least she has more manners than her whole family line combine.
  • Info-chan: Shots fired.

Full offense but one of my favorite scenes in VLD season 2 was the elevator scene. And not for the reasons you think. I like this scene because Keith’s comment to Lance was stated for Lance’s own sake. He’s giving Lance space because he thinks that is what Lance wants. Keith, at this point in the narrative, probably believes Lance genuinely dislikes him (and I think he is, to some extent, correct in this assumption although this admittedly gets pretty complicated) but the shift we see in his behavior compared to S1 tells us that Keith previously wanted them to be friends. He was actively trying. I think the infamous ‘bonding moment’ from S1 was included specifically to tell us this. So we know this is important to Keith and we also know Keith is someone who is utterly persistent about the things that matter to him. But then this scene shows us that Keith has outright given up on ever befriending Lance.

Which, kinda breaks my heart for Keith????

For the first one, that’s my guess too anon – it looks like he’s outside a door so I’m thinking that’s after he makes Yata leave when Niki shows up (I posted my best guess breakdown of the trailer here, if anyone’s interested).

I’m actually really excited by the trailer, though I wish we’d seen more of all the movies since (per the breakdown above) I’m pretty sure there were only scenes from three of them in it and over half was LSW. The Side Blue bits were super intriguing though, particularly since it seems like we might get some parts that weren’t in the novel? As I recall the only flashback in that novel was rather short, but the parts in the trailer with old!Scepter 4 looked more extensive than that (those two ‘new’ characters seem to be young Zenjou – note the distinctive sword – and unexpectedly black haired Habari JIn) and there was that extra bit of alphabet boy focus that I think was less detailed in the novel. Side Blue is actually my least favorite of the novels so I’m hoping the movie fixes some of the novel’s issues, in particular I’ve always felt like it was written very early in the K’s development when Gora hadn’t quite ironed out how Munakata’s character in particular was going to be.

Vague reincarnation au: Hamilton asks Thomas what he remembers of him from their past lives. Thomas proceeds to very somberly talk about all of Alexander's old habits, pacing, yelling, and the last thing he said was how dark the rest of the memories got after Alex died. Like he took the whole world and its fire with him. (totallynotbeancoughcough)

(Im sh o o k)
Yesyesyesyesyes to all of that
Thomas noting how Alex still carries himself the same way
That the way he plays with his hair was Jefferson first hint that it was really him
ALEX IS S H O O K BC LOWKEY JEFFERSON JUST ADMITTED BEING IN LOVE WITH HIM??????
He probably panics- actually tongue tied for once
He just sort of holds Thomas cause he’s not sure what else to do
He’s trying to process it all
Jefferson has a crush on him
Jefferson HAD a crush on him 200yrs ago

Infinite list of favorite moviesLOVE ACTUALLY (2003)

“Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion’s starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don’t see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often, it’s not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it’s always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know, none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I’ve got a sneaky feeling you’ll find that love actually is all around.”

@hexmaniacinien i love ur mob au,, a lot,,,,

My fav Mother Mother albums are basically a list of the albums chronologically (with Touch Up being my fav and Very Good Very Bad Thing being my least fav) so while I was excited for this new album I was aware it might not be for me as their style has been evolving into a more stadium rock sound that’s more produced and my favorites of theirs are the more weird and stripped down things that focus on risky, unpredictable melodies and harmony.

But actually No Culture is probably above the Sticks for me in terms of number of songs I love, maybe tied with Eureka actually though there certainly is a more stadium vibe, they seem to have found a good balance between style and scope. It’s an awesome album. I am very pleasantly surprised. :)
