one thing i have to say is that these next 2 days are going to be the epitome of conspiracy, you guys, the epitome of believing against the odds. i understand many of you are done, and i’d not want to encourage you to do anything that would go against your well-being, but we’re still not done. things are not adding up. loose ends have not been tied up. plot points have been ignored. nothing groundbreaking or tv history-making was seen today. most of you have believed for 3 years now. believe for 48 hours, and then allow yourself to feel whatever it is you need to feel. i can’t tell you anything with any certainty, but i can tell you i don’t feel discouraged yet. i still feel hopeful. if it means anything to anyone: i think operation johnlock is go
can i just say how much the revival has made me grateful for season 7. like, asp was going to have rory get pregnant at 22, which would have honestly been the most heartbreaking ending i could think of for rory- a major part of her characterization is that she didn’t want to end up like lorelai, yes she loves lorelai, yes she respects lorelai and appreciated all the sacrifices lorelai made for her, but she didn’t want the life lorelai had. lorelai is exactly where she’s supposed to be- in stars hollow, with the inn, with luke- but rory wanted more. rory wanted to be christiane amanpour, she wanted to travel, see the world, do things, which was a major part of her turning down logan’s proposal because she wanted a ‘wide open future’. how the hell would she have gotten that with a baby? that’s the worst thing- like, you will become your parents whether you like it or not. and logan, too- he becomes mitchum, lives out his huntzberger preordained life, the life he desperately didn’t want, without even being told he has a child. at least in the revival rory is 32, she’s done stuff, she’s lived, but geez, that’s still a crappy ending for the girl who wanted to be christiane amanpour.
i think that the reason that renaissance art appeals so much to me is because of how much of it is inspired by god. here is this golden age of beauty and art and in the middle of it all is catholicism. and this isn’t to say that the catholic church doesn’t have some Serious Issues, but what it says mostly to me is that the crucifixion achieved exactly what god set out to do
jesus didn’t die on the cross because it was easy, or because he knew he would be coming back, jesus died on the cross because the death of the son of god needed to be something extraordinary that humanity would still be singing about thousands of years later. humans are fickle and forgetful creatures, so the ultimate act of salvation had to be brought to our level, to something we could understand. there was no way god could do this without becoming personally involved.
here is your saviour, in a form you can see and understand, so that you will never forget my love for you
it’s easy to become removed from such a vast and nebulous concept like god, but jesus needed to identify himself with humanity, and what better way to do that than through suffering? when jesus cries out to god asking why he has been forsaken, he is not asking as god’s son, he’s asking as a voice for humanity.
so to see an era like the renaissance take up all that is holy and good and turn it into something so visually beautiful and breathtaking is so important to me. the ultimate act of god’s love for humanity is immortalised in art that reaches everyone, regardless of whether they believe or not.
Ok i rly dont understand why everyone is hardcore hating on this episode?? Like i understand everyone was hype asf for johnlock and so was i but??? I mean??? It was a good episode in my opinion tbfh?
i’m more disappointed with the plot than johnlock at this point. it tied up like, nothing. there are still so many things they started that they never followed up, and i doubt they will if they decide to make another series. i thought the plot was rather shit, actually.
If Maya really did turn into Riley to see if Lucas was good enough she didn't do a good job. My opinion is if she had really turned into Riley and seen how Lucas and Riley treated each other she would have encouraged Riley to give up on the relationship not pursue it.
Yeah and that kind of (in a slightly different way) ties back to a point from a while ago.
During that time that Maya was apparently testing Lucas to make sure that he was good enough for Riley, he was hardcore flirting with her (STEM, Rules, etc.), went on dates with her, almost kissed her, and made his interest in exploring a romantic relationship with her relatively clear.
If my friend had a crush on a guy and he was doing those things towards me, no matter how sweet natured, I’d be like “Hey…idk about this one,” because I’d want to protect her from a guy who might end up hurting her because he’s clearly got interests elsewhere, whatever he feels for her.
Yeah, Zero most definitely hasn't been Yuuki's priority. I mean nothing in arc 1 suggests he ever was, hahaha
Yo Anon, I’m so glad we’re on the same page! LOL!
I mean, remember when Yuuki offered her blood to Zero? You’d think that’d be a perfect example of Yuuki putting Zero first, but oh wait! Yuuki is still worried about Kaname finding out!
I mean, she’s not exactly regretting her decision to help Zero, but she’s definitely not happy about the whole situation either. Because we all know who she really wants to drink her blood~
Or what about the time when Yuuki said she wouldn’t speak to Kaname until he accepted Zero’s innocence? Seems like she’s definitely putting Zero before Kaname right? Ah, but alas, Yuuki is again troubled by her decision.
Or maybe just the whole of Arc 1 I guess? I mean, that’s probably when Zero and Yuuki’s relationship was at it’s easiest right? Before Yuuki became a Pureblood and such? Ah but, again, the minute Kaname shows up and asks if she wants to be vampire and live with him for eternity, Yuuki says yes. So quickly, so easily, even when she’s still on good terms with Zero…
Kinda just shows that, no matter what Yuuki does for Zero, or what kind of relationship she has with him, when it comes to Kaname, all of that just goes out the window~
Source and credits : Sandman (Ap) (source: Shitaraba) Spoilers are released earlier because tomorrow is a Holiday in Japan, I may be wrong, but I think chapter should likely come out as usual on thursday.

Big Mom tells Luffy that she will open the legendary treasure box from Fishman Island (probably that bomb…) in Tea Party tomorrow.
Big Mom gets enraged to hear from Nami that Lola was fine since Lola had escaped from the largest political marriage.
Big Mom says that she would have defeated Kaidou, Shanks and Whitebeard and become Pirate King if Lola had accepted the wedding.
“What a dumb story, Big Mom.
It was Lola who decided not to get married. It is you who haven’t become Pirate King yet!
I’ll pick a fight with you once again! Just because you are Yonkou, don’t act like you are great!
I’ll bring back Sanji! We’ll win in the end!!”
Big Mom is pissed off.
Pedoro’s plan starts.
Brook “Now let’s begin a special live concert in Yonkou Big Mom’s castle!”
I don’t see why not: if it ever gets published, it’ll definitely be split up into multiple books, so…
(Also, “series” is just the original post’s criteria. I’m up for doing it for any work of fiction I happen to know.)
Favorite character: Aisha.
Second-favorite character: Dragon. (These first two used to be swapped, but Aisha’s grown on me more and more over time.)
Least-favorite character: Coil? Heartbreaker? Jack Slash? I could throw a dart at a whole wall full of Worm characters and have very good odds of hitting a terrible person. Take your pick.
The character I’m most like: ??? (This is the one category I never have a good answer for. It’s been long enough since I read Worm that I can’t even come up with a fitting background character, so I’m…just gonna leave this part unanswered.)
Favorite Pairing: Either Aisha/Alec or Dragon/Colin. (AKA, the two actually-kind-of-healthy canon relationships. For a given value of “healthy,” anyway. The fact that they each feature one of my two favorites also doesn’t hurt.)
Least-favorite pairing: Amy/Victoria. (As far as ships with actual fandom traction, I still don’t really get the appeal of Taylor/Amy.)
Favorite moment: First thing that comes to mind is Foil getting the kill shot on Gray Boy. (Not entirely sure why - it’s just a really satisfying “gotcha” moment, I guess.)
Seems a Miss Brittany Herring of Chicago and some of her black friends kidnapped a white man, and live streamed on facebook her and her friends torturing and humiliating this man, demanding he denounce Trump and White people.
OK, clearly that makes the lynching of Latinos, Blacks, Muslims and Jews ok then right? Like its even now right, all of those police shootings are not ok right?
Now that doesn’t make such an action heinous and ties directly into my point about why violence as a tool of fighting oppression not very useful unless you have an actual army, cause this just strengthened Trump tremendously great job there.. Torture is morally abhorrent and every act of torture is a crime against humanity at large, and if torture is wrong when you are doing it against an actual terrorist it is certainly wrong when you do it to the supporter of a candidate, even if that candidate is abhorrent. There are lines which cannot be crossed under any circumstance and torture is one of those lines
That being said this isn’t happening in a vacuum, and when it comes atrocity, one side is committing a lot more of them than the others. That doesn’t make it ok, evil to fight good is still evil.
