It bugs me when people automatically say you should love you curves because men like them. Can we just gtfoh with that please?!
Like… girls should love their rolls, curves, bulges and everything because it’s the body they live in. The same body that breathes everyday and supplies blood to their veins. The same body that withstood so much over the years.
I find it problematic using men as the forefront cause to love yourself because men are as fickle as a light switch. You’ll always find men saying something different. Not all men like thick girls and when they encounter such what are they to do then? They’re told to accept their body because men like curvy girls but the men thy see only like skinny girls (or what have you, for the sake of this example.)
So can body acceptance be actually about BODY acceptance and not male acceptance please.
