Hush, Hush
by Becca Fitzpatrick

Romance was not part of Nora Grey’s plan. She’s never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how hard her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch comes along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Patch draws Nora to him against her better judgment.

But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora’s not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is and seems to know more about her than her closest friends. She can’t decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.

For she is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost Nora her life

"Patch wan’t the kind of guy mother’s smiled on. He was the kind of guy they changed the house locks for.“ - Nora Grey

And even though Patch is that kind of guy, I still fell for him, but I have to be honest to admit that it’s not as much as how I fell hard for Christian Grey. Hahah. Anyway, I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars, why? I just get bored at the first chapters and few chapters before the ending, that’s where the story gets exciting and more thrilling which is good in most novels.

I’m not really a fan of fallen angels, I just found this book on sale in one of the thrift book shops that I am going, and decided to buy this. And there I gave it a try to read, and voila! It didn’t disappoint me, I somehow find it thrilling. I have to mention that Vee Sky, friend of Nora Grey, looks like Caroline Forbes of The Vampire Diaries (TV Series) in my own imagination.

Here’s a pic of her:

As a fictional character, they share almost the same characteristics (but not in the novel base of TVD), like they’re both shopaholic, loves to have fun, and many more. You’ve gotta read this book and watch TVD’s series.

And my book review end here. Til next time! I would like to receive a message from you guys when you have read or when you have decided to read this novel. I have to wait for the other sequel of this book to be on sale or maybe I’ll download a pdf instead. Happy Reading, and Good Luck! :)

Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt

Look what I just bought in a thrift shop of books at the mall near us, Frank McCourt’s Angela’s Ashes. I’ve been searching for this since last year because our English professor said this was his favorite book and recommended us to read. I got it for only PhP 85. Yup! Very budget friendly. :) I thank the gods of thrift shop for selling secondhand books and other stuffs. Maybe I’ll read this after reading The Son of Neptune and The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan. Yezz, I’m a fan of Percy Jackson. I recommend you to read the series, fellow demigods. Happy reading and Good Luck! :)
