Legendary individuals always have custom gear, Since I can’t paint my nikons red without messing them up I thought I’d bead my camera straps.

My family endured countless generations of the reserve and residential school system. This is my way of showing Anishinabe culture is still alive and well. My auntie taught me to loom bead as a child.
The the first strap represent the 3 fires that the Anishinabe (Ojibwe) are apart of with the Odawa and Potawatomi. A feather for a man and woman of each tribe with a fire between them. The second is similar except with a star between them. 4 stars, one for each direction.
