Zak: we’re in a fishing town and I want to fish. And to go fishing a good fisherman needs a good piece of bait. And my best piece of bait is you, so I want to try this: I want to throw into the dark abyss first and I want to watch
Camera pans to Arron like he’s on the office: dude
One of the things I love best about The 100 is that I accept all theories until the text proves me absolutely without a shadow of a doubt wrong. Wonkru are snacking on soylent green barbecue? Sure, why not, they’ve totally got a people-sized rotisserie oven down in the bunker. Spacekru and Clarke are going to fly off to a whole new planet in the season finale ? WHY NOT, I’ll get the ship ready, Monty can bring his algae, call Jeff Goldblum, it’s a space party. Someone at a con says Bellarke is never gonna happen? PSHHH I CAN’T HEAR YOU, THEY’RE STILL ALIVE AND SO AM I AND THAT’S ALL I REQUIRE.
Like the characters have to turn to camera like they’re on The Office and say slowly “Not one single person ate a single other person in this bunker, professorbellarke” before I reluctantly and grudgingly put down my theory. Clarke and Bellamy have to literally murder each other on screen before I believe they’re not in love and even then I’ll be shouting “OKAY RIGHT BUT THEY DID IT ROMANTICALLY!!!”
BITCH I WAS HAPPILY WATCHING THE GOOD PLACE WHILE EATING SOME COOKIES AND THEN U CASUALLY THROW CHIDI AND ELEANOR NAKED IN BED AT ME AND THEN THEY’RE SAYING I LOVE YOU TO EACH OTHER HONEST TO GOD I LOVE YOU AFTER HAVING SEX HOW DARE U HOW VERY DARE U I SAW MY LIFE FLASH BEFORE MY EYES I THREW THE COOKIES ON THE GROUND JESUS WEPT I MAY NEVER RECOVER *AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA*
Well we’ve entered a new season, so it’s time for some first impressions. Here’s what’s worth checking out from best to worst, ranked by my taste.
Absurdist comedy is a real hit-or-miss, but this show hit me dead on. Chio goes to school, and has wacky adventures along the way. So far those adventures focus on Chio being a putz and getting herself into awkward situations. Definite a laugh at her, not with, sort of show
“Osmosis Jones the anime” is perhaps accurate, but definitely under selling it. Cells is an action comedy staring a personified ditzy red blood cell and a personified violent white blood cell. It’s fun and educational!
This is a strange one, and it’s far better than I expected. What if Fooly Cooly had a plot and a better focus on non-sexual themes? Judging by episode 1, this is what you’d get.
In the cutthroat world of playing beach volleyball for fun, everything hinges on the connection between teammates. TBH, the show doesn’t take itself that seriously, there’s just one character who’s that high strung. The protagonist on the other hand is just the chillest and she makes this show fun. Unfortunately it suffers from some bad CG and weirdly quiet sound design.
Shoujo ☆ Kageki Revue Starlight is a battle royal idol show, in which Akemi Homura transfers to drama school and if you die in auditions you die in real life. And did I mention the giraffe? You can’t appreciate this show until you watch it, so please do. It might just end up among the best of this season.
Dropkick is part Coyote-and-Roadrunner-style slapstick comedy and part touching story about an earthbound angel who can’t return to heaven because she misplaced her halo. Come for a couple cheap laughs, stay for all the characters besides Jashin.
Asobi is a clubroom comedy that goes hard on “lol random” and reaction faces.
A Mafia drama centered on the upstart ganglord, Ash Lynx, who stumbles onto a secret new drug. It’s able to take on a serious subject while still being a ton of fun along the way.
The badminton anime. This is a high drama sports show. At least two characters have had their lives ruined by badminton. And they’re going to face off in episode 2. Good use of CG on the shuttlecock, bad use of jiggle physics with Nagisa’s urgent need for a sportsbra.
Bruh ur a goddamn wizard. U gotta make a shitpost about your deepest desire for voltron so it’ll come true

if you wouldn’t want keith to not get to bond with his teammates, get a cute pet dog, reconnect lovingly with the mother he thought had abandoned him, pick up a new admirer, rekindle a ‘rivalry’, and get recognition from his old instructor, and spend more personal time with his former boss (and his mom’s boss/coworker now?)
if you realise these are excellent things for keith to have (well lol idk about james) to expand his social circle
if you understand that keith deserves more than whatever the shape of his relationship with shiro is or can be, while he also deserves to have that…
… because that’s how people function, one person can’t be everything, one person can’t solve all your problems or fulfil all your needs in life
Summary: Phil thinks it’s time for them to move out of their apartment and into a house of their own and what better way to surprise his boyfriend than to look at some property websites to try and narrow down their options for potential houses. If only Dan didn’t stumble on one of these websites on Phil’s laptop and come to a completely different conclusion.
Phil was tired of him and wants to move out. It was now up to Dan to get back Phil’s interest in him and what better way to do that than to look on the internet for ways to spice up a relationship? Follow Dan’s adventures as he follows the steps on a love article to try and spice up his and Phil’s sex life. Nothing can go wrong….
Summary: Dan Howell has made many mistakes in life, the first of which was being born to Aphrodite (or maybe just being born at all, in his uncle’s opinion). It’s never made much sense that he was son of the Goddess of love, seeing as he didn’t even believe in it. Still, maybe there’s time for his mind to be changed when he finds himself going on a quest to retrieve his mother’s “Cupid’s bow” with Phil Lester, son of Ares.
Summary: If you asked most people of Daniel J. Howell’s lot in life, they’d tell you it was pretty good. A small career writing for a fashionable magazine, the heir to one of New York’s most prestigious hotels, the convenience of youth and an ailing millionaire father… what more could an 18-year-old ask for?
Summary: Phil Lester is a nobleman in the country of Bennia, and his family must put forward a suitor for the Princess’ hand in marriage later in the month. During his last night in Manchester, he encounters charismatic Dan Howell, resulting in them both taking a chance.
Summary: “Code black: An influx of patients so great, there aren’t enough resources to treat them. The average A&E is in code black 5 times per year. St. Thomas’ Memorial Hospital in London is in code black 300 times per year.” Doctors Dan Howell and Phil Lester know all too well that when everything in the busiest accident and emergency department in England and their personal lives goes right, the most incredible of miracles can happen. After Dan bares the struggles of his past to Phil, a member of Dan’s distant and troubled family shows up as a patient in their A&E one night after years of silence, and life starts to feel like one long code black night in more ways than one.
Summary: Dan Howell has been able to see ghosts his whole life. Things have gone from bad to worse now that his mother remarried and he finds himself sharing his new room with Phil, avery good looking guy. A guy, who happens to be dead.
Summary: Once upon a time, Dan Howell and Phil Lester were best friends. They did everything together, from hanging out at each other’s house, to sitting next to each other at school - but one day, Dan was torn away from Phil by none other than Phil himself. Five years on, and Dan still doesn’t know why his best friend threw Dan away. Was it the fault of the bullies who relentlessly picked on Phil, or was it Dan himself? Dan just didn’t know. So when a chance to protect Phil and get his best friend back arises, Dan jumps on it in a heartbeat, and uses his own confidence to boost Phil’s just enough to make the bullies back away.
Summary: Phil Lester, the most beloved meteorologist at Southeast News, isn’t sure of many things in his life. One thing he is sure of, however, is that he absolutely hates the new entertainment news anchor, Dan Howell.
Summary: A nickname that goes bitter in your mouth. Cries for help that no one listens to. Gentle hands that make you quake on the ground you’re standing on. When Phil first met Nico, he thought he was a gift from the heavens. But behind the mask lies something daunting, something unnerving, that Phil never foresaw. Through his journey, he finds solace in Dan, the regular at his workplace, who seems to be the only one who sees through Nico’s mask to the darkness underneath.
Summary: Daniel Howell is a Christian vlogger, dedicated to telling the world about God and living a life that pleases Him. When he is invited to a mainstream YouTube convention, he expects it to be an opportunity to speak to a wider audience about God. What he doesn’t expect is running into Phil Lester, a man capable of changing his entire world.
Summary: Daniel Howell, lead guitarist for the band The Tomorrows, is tired of his life in the spotlight and all the struggles that come with it. So, one night, he abruptly leaves his band in the middle of their tour and finds himself in a small town near Manchester, where he meets a group of people who seem to have no idea that Dan is a famous musician. Dan decides to use this to his advantage to pretend as though his fame doesn’t exist so he can be like a normal person. Will he be successful, or will his lying ways cause even more trouble to stir?
