this was the best room

I barely got the coffee cup to my lips this morning before I was pleading with Ben to please help me carry the cabinet over to the house from next door (where it was painted).  The off gasses are still pretty potent, but I really don’t care.  I immediately cleaned the glass sides, doors and shelves, and started curating.  I could not possibly be more pleased with how this turned out.  I’m slightly annoyed by the cord sticking out from the side of this piece, but Ben claims to have the solution, so I’ll be patient.  Best part?  There’s still room for more inside.  I’ll have to be careful about how I jam things in there from here on out, but it’s do-able.  This is officially my new favorite item in the house.  AND, it’ll keep curious little kid hands off my collection.  Win!

Last night me and my friends went out to have drinks. I was meeting up with my best friend, that I hadn't seen for 6 months, and his best friend. We got really drunk and ended up in the jacuzzi. When we got out his best friend and I made out and ended up having sex w my best friend in the room. We decided to have a three some but after having sex with the first guy he bailed. So then my best friend and I (we've always had a thing for eachother) had sex. I really wish we'd had a three some tho.

I think everything’s here. We’ll have to file a damage claim – our IKEA entertainment unit got banged up and the colour from the moving tags transferred to the finish of literally every piece of our dining room set (and nothing else, in this or four previous moves) – but today’s crew was everything the crew in Vancouver wasn’t: on time, organized, professional, and efficient.

I am so looking forward to sleeping in our own bed tonight.

“Ororo, you made the punch right?” You ask, sitting down with the rest of the girls in your small dorm room.

“Duh. and it’s going to be the best, too.” Ororo says triumphantly. You, Jean, jubilee, and Ororo were having your weekly sleepover. Only for the gals of the X-men. It was a great bonding time between all of you. And it made you all good friends.

“So everyone read the schedule I made?” Jean asks, checking ’make punch’ off of her to do list. Jubilee pulls Jean down to sit in the circle with you all.

“Yes, Jean.” You all sigh. “let’s have some fun and play truth or dare!!” Jubilee yells.

What happens when your ships think their house is haunted? Daithi de lui

Nogla crept into his best friend’s room, trying not to wake the sleeping man. It was nearly four in the morning, and Nogla was frightened. It was in his DNA, his Irish roots caused him to be more superstitious than normal, and he needed the comfort of being close to Lui.

“Nogla…what the hell are you doing?” Lui mumbled sleepily.

Nogla cursed his luck. “I uh…Lui I think the house is haunted.”

Lui let out an exasperated sigh, before turning over to give Nogla an unimpressed look. “I told you to stop playing scary maps in the middle of the night.”

“That’s not it!” Nogla said, flustered and embarrassed. “The lights keep flickering and there’s a noise in the garage.”

“It’s probably just an animal.” Lui said, rolling back over. “Our house isn’t haunted. Go to sleep, David.”

As if on cue, the lights went completely out, plunging the two men into complete darkness. The house fell silent, the usual whirl of computers and electronics gone with the power.

The man sat up in bed and rubbed his eyes. “Probably just an electrical storm.”

Nogla wasn’t convinced, especially when they heard a scratching noise from just outside of the window. He whimpered in fright. “What the fock was that?”

“There’s a logical explanation for this.” Lui said, but his wide eyes told a different story.

“The explanation is that the house is haunted and were about to die!” Nogla shouted.

A deep moan cut the argument short. Nogla jumped on the bed with a squeak, and pulled Lui to his chest.

“Explain that!”

Lui didn’t answer, his eyes narrowing as he looked around the room. The scratching continued, and Nogla barely resisted the urge to hide under the covers of the bed.

“Nogla…” A flash of lightning, a boom of thunder: Nogla would deny to the day he died that he did not scream. “Oh my god, you bitch. It’s a storm. The power is out from the storm.”

“What about the scratching? Or the moan?”

Lui escaped from Nogla’s grasp and stomped over to the window. “There’s a tree branch that’s moving with the wind. It’s probably the same reason you heard sounds in the garage. And the moan, that was the wind too. You’re being paranoid.”

“Superstitious,” Nogla corrected offhandedly. “And I’m not.”

Lui rolled his eyes and got back into bed. “If it makes you feel any better, just sleep in here. I’ll protect you from the big, bad, storm.”

“Lui, if I die in my sleep because some dead harpy wants revenge on men, I’m going to haunt you until the day you die.” Nogla warned, settling into the bed besides the other man.

“If that’s the case, I’ll let you.” Lui turned on his side to face him. “But it’s just a storm. Go to sleep, David.”

Nogla wanted to gather the man into his arms and never let him go, but he settled for just being close to him. He was extremely grateful for the concern Lui was showing, and his heart ached with repressed feelings.

The rain started then, and it reminded him so much of home, that he forgot all about his fear and allowed the steady drum lull him to sleep.

When he woke, the lights were back on, and a buzzing sound was heard throughout the house. But that wasn’t the most notable development: Nogla was spooning Lui from behind, his hand resting gently on the other man’s stomach.

“I told you, you big lug. It was only a storm.” Lui said so quietly, it was almost a whisper.

Nogla’s arms tightened around him, and Lui stroked his arm. “Thank you.”

Ever since I started school, during my kindergarten years, my mom was so hands on with me. She taught me how to write, add and subtract numbers and the basics. With that, I was placed in the honors list until I graduated kinder. From then on, my family expected so much from me, from school down to being the eldest of the family.

In school, during my elementary years I was placed in the homogeneous class and never have I ever been placed in the heterogeneous. From the title itself, homogeneous, it means all the smart ones, wise ones and the best of the whole level are placed in one room being molded. I consider myself lucky at that time since it’s a big and great opportunity to be put in that room. As years passed and I reached high school, I am still in the homogeneous, at that time my parents, teachers and even our batch mates considered us as “nerds” and “oh so smart cannot be reached people”. They expect me to be able to have high grades always, be part of the top 10 etc. During that time I was so tired with all the pressure and expectations being put on me. Tired of being told, you can do better than that, but they do not know that that is your better. Just because it doesn’t reach their set of standards doesn’t mean my work isn’t good.  Also at home, because of being the more mature child, I have to consider my siblings in everything I do. I have to be their role model, I have to be someone they can trust and the list goes on. I know that they put these expectations on me because I’m the eldest but I hope they understand that I also make mistakes.

I know that people put expectations on other people because they tend to see that person being capable of doing such and they can do better than everyone. But sometimes, I just want to be free from those expectations. As a human, I have my limitations. I can’t just suck up to people’s expectations just to please them. NO, this is my life and I do what I want with it and how I want it.

request: “Hello!!! Could you do a scenario with Jun where you are friends for a long time and his little brother Yangyang somehow finds out you have a crush on Jun so he attempts to match make the two of you?”

a/n: Not gonna lie, I had trouble with this one, but hey~ I got it done, have fun reading~!

Your body sunk deeper into the couch as you stared intently at the tv, lazily shoving popcorn in your mouth. Your mother was in the kitchen, cooking something up, her incoherent singing floating into the living room. Your mother had invited her best friend’s family over for dinner, their son being your best friend (although that wasn’t a surprise). You smiled at the thought, and struggled to get up, going to ask if your mother needed any help.

As you made your way to the kitchen, your father walked down the staircase in casual attire. He stopped in front of you, blocking your path to the kitchen and ruffled your hair. You giggled and he opened his arms wide.

“How do I look?” He did a twirl and chuckled, you laughing along. Your mother exited the kitchen, wiping her hands on her apron and sighing loudly. A smile made it’s way on her face.

“What’s all this about?” She asked, and your father put his arm around her.

“Nothing.” He winked at you and you quickly shot him an “ok” signal. “How’s the food coming along?” Your mother hit him lightly on his chest, giggling.

“It’s coming, now help me set up the table. They should be here so-” Your mother was cut short, the doorbell resounding around the house. “And there they are, honey will you please go answer the door?” You curtly nodded and skipped to the door. You swung it open and widely opened your arms, mimicking your father from a few moments ago.

“Welcome! To my fabulous crib.” Mr. and Mrs. Wen laughed while Jun and his brother Yangyang groaned, smiles quickly appearing on their faces. You moved aside and held open the door, giving Jun and Yangyang quick high fives as they passed you. You shut it and followed behind Yangyang, your hands falling on his shoulders so he could guide you. He looked back and smiled up at you, and you scrunched your nose in response.

He giggled and placed his hands on his brother’s shoulders, showing some struggle and you laughed heartily. Jun gazed back and saw you two playing around, a small smile on his face. You all made it to the living room in no time, your parents hugging their visitors as you made your way to stand beside them again. Jun was staring at you intently, and when you caught on believing he was trying to commence a staring contest, he looked away quickly. Your face burned, but you quirked an eyebrow, and moved your head to look at Yangyang, a sinister smirk on his face.

“Kids, go hang out in the backyard while we chat, dinner’s going to be ready in a couple minutes.” Your mother shooed the three of you away and you shrugged, leading the group to your backyard. Jun stopped in front of the bathroom during your journey and abruptly exclaimed, “Uhhh, I’ll be back, gotta go to the restroom, y’know….” He lingered on the last word, and you stared at him, noticing his red face. Before you could point it out, he slid into the bathroom and noisily locked the door. With a shrug, you put your arm around Yangyang and continued to the back.

When the both of you stepped onto the grass, you plopped down and pulled Yangyang beside you. You looked up and admired the stars twinkling high above you, deeply inhaling the air. Yangyang looked at you, and then gazed behind him as if looking out for someone. You turned your head to him, and was about to look behind yourself as well before he broke the silence.

“Do you like my brother?” He curiously asked, his head tilted. You were taken aback, your heartbeat accelerating and your cheeks growing warmer.

“W-well of course I like your brother, he’s my best frie-” He cut you off and shook his head, a disapproving look on his face.

“No no no, not like that.” He waved his hand nonchalantly and then leaned into you, whispering, “I mean, like-like.” Your face fell and you immediately felt stuffy. You pondered on the question. “Do I really like Junhui like that?” After some time, you looked up at the sky and confessed, “Yea… I guess I do.”

With a sly smile set upon his face, he turned his head and was delighted to see his brother emerging from the house. Jun approached his brother and was nearly seated before Yangyang swiftly got up and stepped forward, pushing Jun toward you. Jun was shocked and so were you, a light gasp escaping from your mouths.

“Yah… Yangyang, what’re you doing?” He ignored the comment and stuck his tongue out at the both of you, and bolted for the door. You and Jun looked at each other with wide eyes, and scurried onto your feet. You chased after Yangyang and Jun followed right behind you. Yangyang shut the door and quickly locked it. Your hand found its way to the handle, and you jiggled it vigorously, hoping it would magically open. You were about to shout at Yangyang, Jun thinking the same thing, but he began speaking.

“You guys are hopeless! As soon as you guys confess to each other, I’ll open the door.” He shrugged and Jun pounded his fist against the clear door. Yangyang jumped back and stuck his tongue out again, sitting on the floor watching the two of you. He motioned with his hands to “hurry up”, knowing dinner would be ready soon. You sighed and walked onto the grass again, sitting down. Jun followed soon after, and took a seat beside you.

He patted his hands on his legs nervously, whistling to distract himself from the current situation. His whistling stopped and awkward silence filled the void. You mentally slapped yourself, and after a few minutes opened your mouth to speak.

“Listen-” The both of you spoke in unison. Jun sheepishly smiled and motioned for you to go first. You inhaled a sharp breath and tightly shut your eyes.

“Jun… I really like you, I’m not sure how long I’ve developed this crush but I know I like you and not the friend kinda like but a love kinda like, y’know? If you don’t feel the same way I get it and I know I’ve never shown my true feelings around you but I like you.” You rambled on and began to panic because the thought “what if he doesn’t like me? filled your mind all at once and you were nervous.

All of a sudden, you felt your hand being lifted and you stopped talking, your breath held. Jun took your hand and placed it within his, cupping it gently. He softly smiled at you and gazed lovingly at your tangled hands.

“I like you too. I never really showed my feelings either because I knew there were a ton of other good looking guys around the city.” He sighed dreamily and patted your hand, a shy smile on his face. “But I really do like you. I know it for a fact.” His eyes locked with yours and he beamed. Quick tapping was heard from behind you, and you turned your heads. As the both of you gazed at the door, you watched Yangyang write something down on a piece of paper that he didn’t have before. After capping the pen, he turned the paper around and held it up on the glass, “Dinner’s ready <3.

You smiled at Jun, and he stood, pulling you up after himself. Yangyang cautiously opened the door and whistled, his normal expression replaced with a sly one, eyeing his brother and “sister-in-law.” When you and Jun were in front of the door, you both scowled at Yangyang. He mocked shock, and wiped a fake tear from the corner of his eye.

“Growing up so fast.” He winked at the both of you, before skipping off to the dining room. You and Jun laughed, following behind him, your hand in his.

a/n: YIKES ANOTHER LONG ONE!! Hope you liked it~ This one was a bugger OTL (but I enjoyed writing it ^^) <3

This is 100% a personal problem and not a real problem but someone times I feel very unaccomplished and stupid and I have to remind myself that I’m never going to be the best, smartest, most successful person in the room and my ego just needs to get right over that one because it’s fine, really life will go on

Demi knew what a little shit she’d been all day, goading Justin into making him think that she was getting herself off without him, something they’d said they wouldn’t do, but messing him was far more fun that she thought it would be. The thing was that he’d stopped texting her, so Demi had no idea whether she’d actually pushed him too far and now he was punishing her by ignoring her. It didn’t stop her from messaging him though, letting him know that she was doing things, when it reality, she was in her hotel room watching the ID channel. It was the best way to spend a night off from touring in her opinion, and with teasing Justin, it only made things better. The truth was, she really did miss him and it had been a couple of weeks since they’d actually seen each other, both their tours keeping them apart. She’d been spending a lot of time with Nick, which was to be expected when they were on tour together, but she knew that it pissed Justin off sometimes so she’d tried to keep it on the down low as much as possible. The pictures of her and Nick with kids probably didn’t help, but she’d used that to tease Justin further, but maybe it had worked too much if he wasn’t talking to her now. Throwing her phone on the table next to her and comfortable in her sweats, Demi leaned back against the pillow behind her and focused on the TV.

Summary:  “I like you” Jin mumbles.

A/n: I hope you enjoyed reading it, I really tried with the fluff so hope you like it!~J

I finished packing all my stuff, I was so excited I was going to university I was going to the same one as one of my best friends, Jin. I was waiting in my mostly packed room, waiting for Jin to come and pick me up to the university. The university was in the town over, so Jin and I decided it would be best to find a apartment and live there. Checking my phone for the one hundredth time, looking out my window for the millionth time I was getting very bored.

Finally after what seem like hours Jin rolled up to my drive way, beeping his car to tell me I was here. Grabbing most of the boxes I went out and knocked on his window, giving him a frown.

“Can you help me?” I asked, trying to balance all of my stuff in one hand.

“Oh girl no, I just got my nails done.” Jin jokes.

“Hoe, if you don’t help me right now I’ll post all of those photos I have of you.” I joke, glaring.

“Fine, but you’re buying me starbucks” Jin says rolling his eyes, getting out of his car.

I laugh putting my boxes in the back of the car, I go back into my house to get the rest of the boxes. Going back to say my last goodbye to my parents, I smile to them.

“Don’t do anything dumb” my dad says.

“What he means is be safe, also we’re coming over every weekend to make sure you’re not doing anything stupid.” My mom says.

“Gee thanks mom and dad.” I roll my eyes.

“No problem, Jin you better keep her safe” My mom says hugging me, this was the first time in forever since she hugged me.

“Okay Y/n time to go” Jin says.

“Bye mom and dad” I say, waving.

The car ride consisted of us singing along to disney songs and a lot of talks about how we want food, that doesn’t seem to want to show up.

“You should become a doctor” Jin pouts.

“I am kinda of a doctor, I’m going to be a therapist.” I tell Jin.

“But I won’t see you as much as I’m used to.” Jin whines.

“Don’t worry we still see each other when we go home, we share a apartment.” I reminded him.

“Yeah, I guess.” Jin mumbles.

“Hey I can almost see the university!” I say.

“Y/n, that’s a MacDonalds” Jin says.

“Hey I’m hungry, buy for me?” I ask, giving him a puppy eyed look.

“Ugh you’re such a pig” Jin groans.

“You want mcdonalds as much as I want it, you hoe.” I say.

“Do you want it or not?” Jin asks.

Driving up to the window, we ordered our meals. Continuing to drive to the university which seemed to get further and further away from me, I couldn’t wait to go to the university. I fell asleep so that time would go faster, but when I awoken I was still in the car and Jin was still fussing over the traffic.

“Oh Y/n you’re awake, now I have someone to rant about while we wait for this traffic to go away.” Jin smiles.

“Nope goodnight.” I say closing my eyes.

“Hoe I will lock you out of our apartment if you try that.” Jin warns.

“Okay rant.” I groan rolling my eyes.

“Okay so I was at the store when some idiot took the last pack of spaghetti sauce, and I swear I’ve never gotten madder in my life before that day.” Jin explains.

“Jin why the fuck would you get mad at someone for taking spaghetti sauce?” I asked.

Finally we got to the apartment, we got our keys to the apartment and we both started to gather our stuff from the car. All of our stuff were already in the apartment so we didn’t have a lot of unpacking to do, I smiled after placing all of my pieces of clothing in my closet. After Jin was done, we drove to the university that was really close to our apartment. Getting our classes, I got my schedule.

“Hello everyone, I am Marvin Gootenburg, I am the headmaster of this school so please enjoy your time here. Remember classes start next month so get all of your stuff prepared.” The headmaster said.

Jin and I headed back to the apartment, finding places near our apartments. There were grocery stores, coffee shops, and a little mall nearby. This was a good place to live for University.

“What do you want to eat tonight?” Jin asked.

“Take-out” I reply scrolling down on my phone checking my instagram.

“Why would you want take-out when you have my cooking skills?” Jin asked.

“Fine, then you choose” I say turning on the t.v.

“I’m going to buy some groceries then, I’m making something good tonight.” Jin smiles.

“I’m expecting something really good, wait, can I go with you?” I ask.

“Why?” Jin asks.

“Cause I want to explore, being in the new apartment makes me a little scared.” I tell him.

“Fine” Jin answers.

At the grocery store I was browsing down the aisle, trying to find the instant coffee and some snacks to go with it, while also looking at some herbal tea to buy. I found some of the snacks and went to get some, I found some snacks and got some jasmine tea, heading to find Jin’s cart. I was looking at how many boxes of tea I had that I didn’t even see where I was going bumping into someone.

“Oh my god I am so sorry, I was so distracted with my boxes of tea that I didn’t see you.” I say to the stranger.

“It’s alright, you too huh?” The guy asks holding three boxes of green tea.

“My name is Y/n, what about yours?” I ask him holding out my hand for him to shake.

“Namjoon, Kim Namjoon.” He says firmly returning a shake.

“Nice name” I smile.

“Y/n! There you are” Jin smiles, looking over at Namjoon. “I see you found someone.”

“Oh Jin this is Namjoon, we just bumped into each other while I was walking to your cart.” I smile.

“Interesting.” Jin says.

“Oh I’m so sorry, I didn’t know you two were a thing.” Namjoon says.

“Oh we’re not, we’re just best friends.” I smile.

“Yeah best friends” Jin smiles back.

“Anyways, I have to go I hope to meet you guys again.” Namjoon says, waving goodbye.

The semester started and today was my first day in class, I was taking a course on family therapy. Which just so happened to be the class that Namjoon was in, I couldn’t believe he was in this class.

“Hey Y/n?” Namjoon asks.

“Namjoon? Whoa you’re in this class?” I ask him.

“Yeah, I’m planning on being a therapist.” He says.

“same” I say.

“Hey you wanna hang out after university, I know a great coffee shop we can go to, if you’d like.” Namjoon asks.

“Yeah totally, I would love to!” I say smiling.

“Great see you in a bit” Namjoon smiles.

After school, I headed to the parking lot to meet Namjoon. I texted Jin not to wait up for me since I was going somewhere with Namjoon, once I saw Namjoon we went to the coffee shop and started to discus our interests.

“So why did you go into therapy?” Namjoon asks.

“I’ve always been a good listener and advice giver, so normally I chose something that I thought I would be good at.” I tell him.

“That’s great” Namjoon smiles.

After a while we were heading out, and Namjoon drove me home I was about to out of the car but I remembered to thank him for driving me home.

“Thank’s again for driving me home.” I smile.

“I had a lot of fun today, let’s hang out again.” Namjoon smiles.

“Great!” I smile “okay well bye!”

“Bye” Namjoon smiles.

Walking inside of my apartment I see Jin doing his homework on his desk, I smile and walk up to him.

“You’re in a good mood.” Jin smiles, typing his essay.

“Yeah I just went out with one of the cutest boys ever” I smile.

“Namjoon? You think he’s cute?” Jin asks.

“Yeah he’s really cute” I say, blushing a bit.

“Alright, I’m going to do my homework in my room, see you later.” Jin says.

“Oh right I should do my homework” I say, pulling out my laptop and started to write.

The next morning I was woke up and got ready for University, walking to Jin’s door I knocked.

“Jin you ready for school?” I asked him. “Jin?”

After calling for him seven times I decided to check on what was taking so long, I went into his room to see a note on his bed.

‘Dear Y/n,

I went to school early, get Namjoon to drive you.

I groaned I felt troubled to make Namjoon drive me so I walked, the university wasn’t that far anyways. I got out of my house heading to the university, once I got into my class. I saw Namjoon approach me.

“Whoa, Y/n you look tired” Namjoon says.

“Yeah I had to walk here, it was a lot further than I thought.” I say gasping for air.

“You know if you need a ride you can always call me, don’t put yourself through this.” Namjoon says worriedly.

“Thanks.” I smile.

It’s been weeks since I’ve actually seen Jin, I was starting to get annoyed he always seemed to have a reason to get out of things. All of his excuses always had something to do with Namjoon, I was starting to get pissed. So I decided to wait for him to come home so he didn’t have any excuses, he would have to talk to me. I waited for a long time, I heard the door open and in came Jin.

“Where have you been?” I asked.

“I was at university” Jin answered.

“Why do you keep on making excuses not to see me?” I ask.

“I’m not” Jin says.

“Yes you are, we haven’t talked in almost a month I know that if you weren’t making excuses you would try to talk to me every second you got.” I tell him crossing my arms.

“It’s not like it will matter if I tell you” Jin says.

“Just say it, it could help if you told me.” I say.

“I like you” Jin mumbles.

“Sorry I didn’t catch that, can you say it again?” I asked.

“I like you” He mumbles a little louder.

“Louder please” I say.

“I like you!” Jin shouts.

“Awe why didn’t you say that earlier? You know I’ve liked you for a long time now.” I smile.

Lance Headcanons

Most of these have probably already been stated somewhere, but I thought I’d compile some of my own along with my personal favorites.

  • He can dance. I know this is a fairly common thing and I’m so glad it is but he can dance. And he will try any kind of dance at least once. Ballroom, hip hop, break dancing, ballet- you name it, he’s tried it. And he’s very good at it. (Did you see his hips moving when he did the voltron cheer? The boy can dance)
  • Before joining the Garrison he life-guarded at his local pool. He also volunteered to do it at camps and special community events and he even helped with swim lessons for the local kids every summer.
  • Has read all of My Immortal. Multiple times. He tried to make Hunk read it but he always got out of it somehow until one night when Hunk was messing with some engineering work when Lance just started reading it out loud.
  • Which leads into the fact that Lance is fantastic at reading out loud. He gets into it- gives every character their own voice and does motions and everything. He developed this skill because he reads to his younger siblings and cousins and nieces and nephews when he’s at home and it’s a large part of why Hunk didn’t just put in headphones when he realized what Lance was reading to him.
  • The two of them from that day on will randomly quote it when they see fit. “So what did you do then?” “We started Frenching passively.” and “Why did you do such a thing, you mediocre dunces?”
  • Lance keeps his music meticulously organized. His CD’s are alphabetized in their own genre categories and every song on his ipod has the title of the song, band name, and what album it’s from. He has carefully thought out playlists for every occasion he can think of and after joining Voltron when something happens that he has the perfect playlist for but his ipod’s back on Earth he gets seemingly inexplicably frustrated for a few moments before bursting out in a purposely horrid rendition of one of the songs.
  • He would be a really good figure skater what with his fabulous dancing skills if only he could figure out how to balance first. As it is he can’t skate without holding onto the edge or someone else and even then he still falls multiple times.
  • He also knows every lyric to the High School Musical songs. Just the first one and like two songs from the second one because the second movie’s plot made him mad so he didn’t bother with anything outside of “What time is it?” and “I don’t dance” because hey they’re catchy.
  • Keith one day during training for forming mental links makes a comment along the lines of “Lance why do you feel so… wrong?” Hunk groans and it’s the only warning any of them get before Lance yells enthusiastically ”My head’s in the game but my heart’s in the song!!!!”

Um… that’s it for now. I probably have more but this got super song sorry

Things I loved about Star Trek Beyond
  • fucking hilarious
  • I mean of course it is, Simon Pegg helped write it so no disappointment there
  • Bones says “horeshit”
  • SPOCK says “horseshit”
  • They let Bones say fuck (kinda)
  • *sabotage by beastie boys blares through space* Bones: “Is that classical music?”
  • They dropped the whole romance angle between Kirk and that blond lady. Like, she’s not even in the movie.
  • Kirk doesn’t even have a love interest. In fact, he’s just kind of there, but in the best way, because it leaves room for the rest of the crew to shine.
  • speaking of which:
  • Uhura being her equally amazing self, but no surprise there
  • obligatory Spirk
  • obligatory Bones/Spock bickering/BONDING
  • perfect references to the original crew/tropes (Kirk’s “I ripped another shirt” and the picture of the original crew Spock finds in Admiral Spock’s box of stuff)
  • touching send-off to Leonard Nemoy
  • touching dedication to Anton

the list goes on
