SoulSilvershipping {6: Things You Said Under the Stars and In the Grass}

“We finally caught it.” Lyra cheered and waved the pokeball in her hand but Silver looked bored with their accomplishment at best. The professor had sent Lyra on a mission to capture a banette and she asked Silver to join her. It was a relatively simple task and finding the pokemon would be the most difficult part so Lyra would’ve been fine on her own but Silver agreed to join her. Neither of them fully understood why he went out of his way to help her.

“I’m so tired, Silver!” Exhaustion finally overtook Lyra and she collapsed onto the grass. Banettes were only active at night and they chased the pokemon through the forest well into the night. Lyra stretched out on the grass and looked up at the starry sky. Silver leaned over her and blocked the stars but she wasn’t disappointed by the sight. She had feelings for him but she never told him because she didn’t know how he felt about her.

“If you’re going to sleep out here, you should set up camp. You’re going to make yourself sick if you sleep on the ground like that.” Silver chastised but she didn’t seem bothered by his harsh tone. Despite how cold he seemed at times, Lyra could always hear a kindness beneath his tone. He took off his jacket and threw it onto the ground next to her. “If you insist on sleeping out here, use that.”

“Thank you.” Lyra pulled his sweater over herself and patted the spot next to her. Even without her saying anything, he knew that she wanted him to lay down next to her. Silver sat down after hesitating for a moment. Whenever she looked up at him expectantly, he always found it difficult to deny her anything.

She turned her brown eyes to the sky and sighed contently. “Do you ever think about how big the world is yet how small it is too? There’s too many stars to count and we’re always discovering new pokemon. But, in this world of seven billion, we met each other.”

“It’s called having a meddlesome sister.” Silver rolled his eyes. Lyra was a reporter and was gathering information on Team Rocket. Blue, his sister, convinced him to help Lyra by telling him that it might lead him to his father. A part of him knew that she was trying to play matchmaker with them but agreed to her plan. Ever since then, he continued to help Lyra because he enjoyed her company. Her energetic personality, while tiring at times, was refreshing to him.

Silver was too unsure of his feelings to admit it but Blue had succeeded in her plan. His heart stuttering whenever he was near her was evidence of that.

“No matter if it was fate or your sister that brought us together, I’m glad I met you.” Lyra said softly and closed her eyes. She felt a gentle hand brush her bangs from her face and opened her eyes. Silver’s hand stilled her a moment when their eyes met and he quickly pulled away from her. “Are you glad too?”

“… I am.” Silver admitted and was glad that it was too dark for her to see his blush.

Man, its been a long time since I wrote with PokeSpe. I still love all these ships and I really need to finish The Last Dragon.

[Send me a ship and one of these and i’ll write a mini fic]

so according to canon, shisui became a genin at 5, and he was 6 when he watched his best friend die on a post-war mission, thus awakening his mangekyo sharingan. so i’m thinking that–for kushina’s sake–this best friend was not one of her genin, but another friend of shisui’s (an uchiha, one he knew since he was younger). she and shisui’s teammates help him cope with the loss. (…it is unfortunate that only months earlier, obito had “died”. kushina and minato did not have a great time there.)

Angels walk among us. With crooked halos and shattered wings, they walk among us and try to remember what it felt like to be holy. Stretching out their arms and reminding themselves of what it felt like to soar.

Gods walk among us. Trapped inside too small bodies with nothing but the memories of when they were everything, and dream of the worlds and empires they helped forge. Their hands had once built galaxies, but now seemed so small.

Aliens walk among us. From far away worlds and twinkling stars, they carry on and wonder how they had gotten so far from home. One day they know they’ll traverse this galaxy once again, but until then they must make do with Earth.

Fae walk among us. Who try to remember their people, their customs, their dances, in a world that is convinced that they are children’s tales, and no more. Desperately trying to become themselves again, wondering if it was all simply a prank gone wrong, or something worse.

Forests walk among us. Those who remember their trees, their plants, the animals they kept safe under their canopy. Now they can only hope their small friends stay safe, until they can take care of them all again.

Animals walk among us. Wondering why they were stuck on two legs with none of their fur or feathers, scales or shells. Questioning why their voices suddenly are so wrong, so different from the cries they used to make. Surrounding themselves with whatever they can that reminds them of their home.

Ghosts walk among us. Clothed in flowing white and shadowy blues, wandering through areas that used to be solely theirs. They can no longer phase or float, but they make do. They have to.

Dragons walk among us. On feet without the claws they remember, and with heads held high despite the missing horns and fangs. They clamber forwards, rebuilding their hoard with every step of the way.

Dolls walk among us. Those with faded felt and chipped ceramics alike wondering why they were suddenly flesh. Looking over themselves and realizing their bodies were suddenly softer then they ever were, more sturdy then they ever were.

Galaxies walk among us. Made of star stuff and moonshine, infinitely growing forces trapped in too small bodies. Remembering what it felt like to span light years and wondering who had managed to trap supernovas into flesh and blood.

Monsters walk among us. In every shape and size; they walk; slither; crawl; and remember the days they were feared, and wonder if they really want that back. If they would want it back after finally being treated as a living creature with as much right to exist as anyone else.

Betrayers walk among us. With guilt-ridden hearts and regretful eyes. Who reassure themselves that it was the right thing to do, not quite sure if they believe themselves.

Saviors walk among us. With a shine in their eyes and smiles on their lips, reassuring all they come across that one day the sun will shine and all with be right once again.

Rebels walk among us. Causes long ago forgotten, but with fires still raging in their hearts. Challenging anything and everything. Unrest and revolutions follow them wherever they tread. Chaos and freedom, mixed together.

Survivors walk among us. Soldiers with nothing left to fear, who have instincts as their guide and luck on their side. Walking forward unafraid, because they’ve done this all before.

Immortals walk among us. Souls laden with sorrow, heartbreak slipping through their eyes. They know by now not to get close, but do so anyways because its the only thing that makes them feel anymore.

Soldiers walk among us. Hands itching for weapons they no longer have, tense with instincts they no longer need. Wondering why their body is so unmarred and unbroken. They had always done their best, but now they no longer knew if that was good enough. If it ever was good enough.

Children walk among us. Lost and afraid, they march forward, with the weights of a thousand impossibilities on their shoulders. These children are forgotten, and they would prefer to stay that way.

Cursed-folk walk among us. With cautious eyes and doubtful tones, who know that the world is against them now more than ever. Everything comes with a price, and they wonder if their price was truly worth it.

Mages walk among us. Hands of their magical tools of choice, ready to pull them out if necessary to defend or attack. Scared because this was the land their ancestors were killed in. Courageous because they continue forwards anyways.

Travelers walk among us. Those who took a wrong turn and found themselves in a world that isn’t theirs, hoping to one day find the way back. Strength rings through them, for they know they cannot- will not -stop until they reach their home.

Chosen Ones walk among us. Remembering what it felt like to be The One, The Savior, The Last Hope of their worlds- and wondering why that responsibility was ever thrust on them in the first place. Wondering why they had been abandoned back in their old world after fighting so hard for the one they had made their home.

Spirits walk among us. Spirits who see others like them in the corner of their eyes. Spirits who meet up in quiet secret places and remember, together, what it felt like to be themselves. Reassuring each other that one day they will all go Home.

Unicorns walk among us. Even with their horns no longer there, there is no doubt magic runs through them. They are blessed creatures, and they know it. Stars and sunlight glisten in their eyes, and every step plants flowers.

Demons walk among us. Still feeling the darkness in their blood, and the calls of others like them. Hell fire and brimstone smells dance on the breeze, luring them away. Luring them back home.

Dire Wolves walk among us. Even without their pack, they are fierce. Every step a calculation, every move planned. The hunt is on, and it looks like you are the prey. Get ready to run.

Dinosaurs walk among us. Long gone though they are, the continue forward. With pasts surrounded by mystery and unknowing. They are a varied folk, from carnivores to herbivores and everything in between. Large and small alike they fight on.

Winged Ones walk among us. Backs aching from wings they don’t have- limbs they haven’t had in a long time. The sky calls to them, begging them to come home, but they cannot reply. Stuck on the ground, staring hopefully up at the sky- one day they might go home, but not yet, not today.

Glitches walk among us. Scratches on the disk of reality, blips in the world. Tilt your head, look at them from a wrong angle- they might just be lens flares, might just be tricks of the imagination. The world warps around a being that is not there, that shouldn’t be there.

Hellhounds walk among us. Hellfire sprouts from their paths, infernos blaze just under their skin. Embers burn their paws, soot stains their fur. Wildness stirs in their hearts, urges them forward. Feral creatures, born from fire and darkness.

Vampires walk among us. Fangs stained red with blood that is not theirs. Pale as untouched snow, with hearts as dark as the night they rule. Voids twist around them, cloaking them in their shadows. Look out for too sharp grins at midnight, watch your steps.

Elements walk among us. Raging winds, blazing flames, crushing earth, and surging waters rush together. Combining to make impossible possibilities, incredible worlds, exploding worlds. Elements that made up entire worlds now spinned into bones.

The Undead walk among us. Shuffling and stuttering, wondering if this makes them undead undead. Flesh now whole and bones unbroken, feeling their heartbeat course through their veins once again, feeling the air filling their lungs once again.

Werefolk walk among us. Bodies no longer shifting as they once did, permanently stuck on their two legs, for better or for worse. From all walks of life, they shifted into anything and everything. They do what they can to remind themselves of what if had felt like to themselves again.

Starseeds walk among us. Those that have lived only a few lives and those that have lived hundreds walking together. Taking the same steps they’ve taken who knows how many times before. Memories trickle back to them, small ones and big ones alike replaying in their minds. Doing their best to remember their mission and goals.

Mermaids walk among us. Although, maybe walk would be the wrong word. Figuring out how to walk on separate limbs that used to be one. Feeling most at home when submerged in water, sometimes forgetting their new bodies need oxygen. Strong arms and new legs propelling them through water, making them relearn a skill that they’d known since birth.

Death Omens walk among us. Afraid if their mere presence curses everyone around them. Keeping to themselves, just in case. Wondering how much of their past life carries on to their new life. Afraid that their mere touch could end lives, wondering if its their fault every time catastrophe hits.

Psychopomps walk among us. Remembering their jobs, remembering their duty. Even when they hated it, they remember what that must do. Both an impartial guide and a guardian protector. It was not their job to judge, simply to provide a safe passage from here to whatever lies beyond. Smiling in the face of death, knowing that they are not here for them.

Shadows walk among us. Twisting and shifting, not solid forms but far from intangible. They are everywhere and nowhere all at once, watching on to every act, recording passively that actions of others, while also defending those in need, actively stepping out to protect. They are the night and the stars, and yet also the shifting woods and deadly blades that flash in the shade. They are, and they aren’t.

Prisoners walk among us. Remembering shackles and chains holding them back, holding them down. Forced in cages and cells, forced to repent. But now- now they are free. They are free to walk and speak and run. Every part of their soul sings. Shackles now rusted off, chains now broken- they have no intentions of ever putting them back on.

Robots walk among us. Rusty joints and electricity running through them. Mechanical men, made to work with no need for sustenance. Inorganic beings with artificial intelligence, making themselves better, making themselves evolve. Their jobs are not yet done.

Mountains walk among us. Their strength and fortitude transformed into movable flesh and feeble bones. Eons of near unending life taken away and replaced with a life of hardly a century. Where once they were feared and respected, they are now hardly ever seen.

Winter Sprites walk among us. Ice on their fingers, frost in their hair. Snow falls over their trail, painting the frozen landscape a chilling white. A shiver trails up your spine when they pass, followed by a freezing breeze- winter spirits in their element can freeze the world over, if one could be bothered to do so.

Seers walk among us. They watch, wide eyed and humbled, at the creatures who walk around them. Wings and horns and twisted bits, wandering through crowded streets. Their oddities, invisible to most, show bright and clear to the perceptive eyes of those who watch.

Secretly dating Steve Rogers:

• You keep this relationship a secret because the super soldier is technically your boss and you both want to stay very professional, avoiding some delicate situations.
• You both try to keep a straight face when you see each other at work.
• Him actually swearing like a sailor. Basically, he’s always been the one who swears too much in the team and you like teasing him about it.
• Steve calling you ‘Agent’ and you, calling him 'Captain’. Sometimes, your tone may sound very suggestive to his ears, so you cough and walk away.
• At this moment, your boyfriend excuses himself and joins you casually…
• Quickies ensue everywhere: restroom, office, gym… and Quinjet. Everywhere.
• Passionate sex.
• Quiet sex. You’re still trying to not moan, though.
• You both stop yourselves from kissing when you are in the same room as your coworkers.
• Sweet pecks when nobody is around like he can’t help it.
• Slapping or groping his butt when you walk past him.
 - “Nice ass, Captain.”
• Steve trying to keep his composure when he sees you biting your lip as you work.
• You always spend too much time in the training room because your boyfriend working out is a real beautiful sight offered by the heavens. He isn’t a walking pair of muscles, though.
• Spending secret moments on the roofs when you are sure you would have peace:
 - “This is beautiful.”
 - “The sky isn’t as beautiful as you are.”
 - “Aww, Steve.”
 - “Stop laughing!”
• Making out!
• Begging Steve to bring the stealth suit at home.
• Feeling like you are hiding your boyfriend from your over protective parents and that makes you giggle all the time, which he thinks is the most adorable sound in the world.
• You, playing footsie and you know exactly when you have to.
• Him surpassing the urge of punching Tony when he sees him flirting with you. Let’s be honest, that’s in Tony’s nature, so it’s harmless. Nothing serious.
• Staying away from each other during the billionaire’s fancy parties, yet when everyone is very drunk enough, you stay glued to Steve and just act like a normal couple: laughing, kissing and holding hands.
• The first time he said: I love you was simply whispered softly in your ear, just as he was passing by the same hallway.
• At this moment, you dropped every paper you had in hands and rushed to join him casually…
• Lots of makeup to cover up the hickeys and other love bites.
• Putting on your best unemotional face when you see him coming back from a mission exhausted or injured.
 - “I’m fine, Y/N. Get back to work; I’ll be there when you come home.”
 - “Are you sure?”
 - “Yes. Now, go before I have to suspend you for flirting with a superior.”
 - “Oh, yeah?”
• Sharing an apartment outside the compound, but you obviously keep your previous address in your records.
• The team actually knows about your secret since the beginning, but they decide to act like they don’t know because you two are pathetically funny to watch.

I want Shiro and Lance to go on a mission together. I don’t care what kind.

One where Shiro is unsure amd uneasy, is worried about Lance slipping up and telling a bad joke at the wrong time. Where he thinks Lance’s attempts at flirting will get them into hot water. But instead he’s seeing Lance with a whole different set of manners. Making alliance’s and gathering aliens for their cause. Where Lance’s diplomatic strategies work and the aliens of this planet are so charmed by the blue paladin Shiro gets kind brushed off to the side, even with his title of being champion. Shiro finds himself not minding one bit. Where after he pulls Allura and Coran aside and tells them. He’s momentarily shocked at their beaming smiles that, yes, they knew it would work Lance IS best for these types of missions. And Shiro is just stunned and so happy about it at the same time.

Or give me a mission where everything seems to go wrong and Shiro starts seeing things that aren’t there. His chest feels tight and hears the chantting he had to walk away from every night. And Shiro tries SO hard to stay strong to be the typical leader he’s supposed to be. But he’s just breaking and its freaking him out even more. But Lance won’t allow that. He tells Shiro to focus on his eyes. Tell Shiro its not real. Tell Shiro he’ll be there no matter what. Takes everything step by step until Shiro is comfortable again to the point where Lance is simply doing everything. And Shiro wants to be mad - why does Lance have to do everything for him? Why does he have to act like a big baby? But whenever he voices those thoughts Lance gives him this look, eyes as bright and some how cold looking as a winter sky. If Lance says it’s not problem then its not. And sometimes when things seems to hard and Shiro is gasping for breath and his vision blurry from tears he fe2ela Lance pulling him gently. Letting him know that he is here to HELP Shiro. And as embarssed he is when his tears are gone Shito admits that its not to bad to sit in Lance’s lap.

OR just a mission where the two of them goof off and the sunlight hits Lance just right and when Shiro looks he’s left breathless.

Peach Aura Quartz

Peach Aura Quartz is the fusion of Rose Quartz, Garnet and Pearl. When they fuse, they are able to spend love and charisma around everything and everyone! And although she doesn’t exist for too much, she does her best for the impossible missions!

curious fact; Her hair resembles a Rainbow Cupcake!

This was a request from a very close pal @megarosemewtwo!

Topaz Loves you!

Ah yes, this scene, the “Keith is a terrible leader” scene, the “Allura is expendable” scene, the scene that fandom beats to death again and again to determine whether Keith is worthy of being the Black Paladin scene…

Strap in, kiddos, because I have my own two cents to add in here, and rather than fill someone else’s post with my rambling, I decided to make my own. Because in all this back and forthing with this scene, I feel like we as a fandom are missing the fundamentally bigger picture here.

Ok but consider time

We all know that Lance is homesick and we were shown just how far away they were from Earth at one point. But something that hasn’t been considered is that time is passing differently for them than it is on Earth. A good representation of how this is is in Interstellar, when the main character’s youngest sends him a video, something that she refused to before and only decided to do because it was her birthday. The birthday marking her the same age as her father. Another example of this is if you take a clock and you do one revolution around earth the time on the clock is different than the time on the clocks on Earth that would have previously been running at the same time. I don’t know the exact science so that might not be exact.

So like… I have an idea for an au where Lance’s family is devastated when they find out, and Lance’s 13 year old genderfluid sibling is like ‘I want to go to the Garrison’ and Lance’s parents and everyone else are like 'No, we just lost Lance, why would you want to do that’ and the sibling is like 'Lance’s dream was to make it to space and if he couldn’t get there in his life time then I’m going to do this for him’ so they take up engineering and physics to try to get into the Garrison. They try to get in at age 14 and don’t, but try again at 15 and do. They get an opportunity to be a pilot because someone quit. They have to deal with Iverson and he’s like 'You’re just like your brother, useless, a replacement because someone else isn’t here’ and they realise that this would have fuelled Lance’s anxiety and he never told any of them. They make it their personal mission to be problematic, but also the best in their class. Like, insulting Iverson everyday, becoming 50000000% more petty and salty, and even at one point challenging him to a rap battle. On a separate occasion they somehow manage to barge into a staff meeting to shout that at Iverson that he verbally abused and degraded their brother’s mental health and worsened his anxiety, before presenting a petition signed by the whole student body and some parents to get Iverson fired. Iverson is fired. After a few years the Kerberos mission is being rebooted. At age 19 they are chosen to pilot. They tell their family that they’re finally getting to see space. The team includes Mrs Holt, who had stepped up to engineering again, and another woman. They get to Kerberos, and a few weeks into their mission the Galra resistance group who rescued Matt arrive, to check that the area is still free of the Galran Empire. Mrs Holt is so happy, but also, her son looks the same way he did when she last saw him 8 years ago, though more buff, scarred and tired. The sibling convinces them to let them come with them, and when Matt explains that Mr Holt is still out there Mrs Holt is like 'There is no way that you’re leaving me behind, the communications officer is like 'The government adopted me when I was 12, and they passed me off to the Garrison immediately, two years before they were legally allowed to so I don’t have much back there, I’ll come’. The Galra resistance group meets with the Blade of Marmora to form an alliance. They then meet with Voltron. The meeting is first with Allura, then the paladins of Voltron are introduced, minus Shiro because he’s missing. There are the obvious reunions.

Matt: What the f-
Mrs Holt: Language, Matt.
Matt: Mum, I’m fighting in a war and I was a slave for a year, let me swear.
Pidge: Who are you, you’re not the short beanpole I know.
Matt: As I was saying, MUM, what the heck’s a Pidge.
Pidge: I’m a Pidge. And Mum, you look a lot older than I remember.
Matt: KaTIE THAT’S NOT SOMETHING YOU SAY TO ANYONE.

Lance enters with a mug of coffee or something.

Hunk: Ah, I see you’re holding true to being the 20 minutes late with Starbucks meme.
Lance: Yes, but I woke up lat this morning and I have to uphold my beauty routine so I’m not sore-why is Pidge standing next to a hot Pidge what is happening am I okay.

Lance is barrelled over in a bear hug by his sibling.

Lance: *is confused*
Keith *is alarmed, the subject of his pining isn’t allowed to die*
Everyone else: *also alarmed*
Sibling: How dare you, not tell me or anyone else about Iverson being a dick to you! You were my role model! I came out as genderfluid to you before anyone else! Before I came out to Mama! You watched my debates and you went to everyone on of Freya’s hockey games, and you taught Maria how to use makeup when she was transitioning, and yet you couldn’t tell anyone of us, or even Mum or Mama about that!
Lance: Who-w-How do you know all that who are you?
Sibling: Well, you dense traffic light after that I thought it would have been obvious. I’m *name*
Lance: Um, no, *name* is 13.
Pidge: Lance…I can’t believe I forgot…We studied this…Time passes differently in space…
Lance: So you’re telling me that they’re, that you’re, my sibling? You’re, like, my age, if you aren’t older! How old even are you?
Sibling: I’m 19.
Lance: What the f-
Matt: Language.
Lance: ????
Matt: If I’m not allowed to swear you don’t get you.
Sibling: You know what this means, right? Unless you were some sort of crazy party animal at the Garrison I got to drink before you.
Hunk: 19 is still underage though.
Sibling: In America maybe. But we live in Australia. So. Whenever I went home I got to drink. Because I was also at the Garrison from a program/branch thing in Australia I was bound by Australian rules so I was legally considered an adult and allowed to pilot the second Kerberos mission.
Matt: But more importantly. You think I’m hot? *bats lashes at Lance*
Sibling: Right, how could we forget about that beautiful gem.
Lance: How could you do this? Betrayed by my favourite little-what is is sibling? Sister?
Sibling: Sibling.
Lance: How could I be betrayed by my favourite little sibling?
Sibling: Well first of all, I’m only your favourite until Freya or Maria is in the room and suddenly you’re not allowed to have favourites, and second, you may have been born before me but I’ve lived longer than you so I’m the older sibling now.
Lance: All around me are familiar faces, worn out places-
Allura: We are currently searching for our black paladin, Shiro, which is why we wanted meet with you, aside from solidifying an alliance.
Matt: Wait, you mean Shiro like Takashi Shirogane?
Keith: Yeah. He’s missing and we can’t form Voltron without him.
Matt: You must be Takashi’s emotionally constipated adopted child-I mean adoptive brother. But more importantly, he couldn’t even be here to meet me! My boyfriend’s such a *stares directly at Mrs Holt* goshdarned flake.
Pidge: *Snorts* And what a hecking shame that is! If you being here could have stopped him from going and cheesing disappearing then we wouldn’t be in this dang situation.
Holt siblings: *snorts devolving into cackles*

So that’s my au. There’s more. There’s so much more and I might draw some of it. I’m also considering a name/names for the sibling.

Or, alternatively the time passing differently in space could just be for langst.

Work it Out

Bucky x Reader

Summary: after pulling a muscle on a mission, you need to stretch out your leg while working out. But you need help to do so. There’s only one person around to help.

Word Count: 2595 (I got carried away!)

Warnings: language + references to smut + angst

A/N: I have so much unfinished hw and I’m writing a fanfic. honestly I should just drop out I can’t anymore w school. anyway, enjoy 💛

“That bad?” Wanda says, chuckling breathlessly. I shake my head. A familiar pain strikes through my thigh and I wince. Wanda looks at me in concern. “Stop.” she says. I look at her for a moment, almost limping on the treadmill, before pressing the “Stop” button and letting the conveyer belt slow to a halt. She finishes her own as well, wiping the sheet of sweat off her forehead.

“He literally ate his rice with his hands.” I sigh. Wanda raises her eyebrows. “I don’t know when the dating pool shrunk to all the losers.” I shake my head.

“Well, don’t take it out in your workout.” she says. “At least not until your muscle has healed.” I roll my eyes. “Doctor’s orders!” she says impatiently. I stick my tongue out at her and she smiles. “Well, I’m done anyway. Tony organized a dinner.” I tilt my head.

“Tony did something nice? What’s the catch?” I say. She shrugs.

“I think Pepper kinda forced him to. He said something about bonding, and I knew there was no way he had decided to do this on his own account.” I smile, shaking my head. “I’m gonna go clean up. Make sure to be down by seven.” I nod and bid her farewell. “And please take it easy on the workout.” she says, exiting the gym.

I bite my lip and turn around, looking for the next thing to do. After a moment, I decide to work on my combat by the punching bags. I cover my hands first so I don’t hurt myself, then begin punching at the sand bag, grunting with each blow. I use my left leg to kick, keeping use of my right minimal, like my doctor said to. My elbows strike the bag over and over, letting out my pent up anger. My stupid muscle was keeping me from going on the missions. I’m stuck in the compound and the best thing I can do is watch Netflix. I’m dead weight until my leg heals, and there’s no telling when that will be. My mind goes back to the first time I had to sit out on an assignment, five days ago.

We were about to leave for a mission, practically walking out the door as we finished gearing up. It had been a day since my doctor told me I hurt my leg. I was limping slightly, as the pain had turned into a dull ache. I pull on my jacket and look around at my teammates. Everyone is preparing, tucking guns into their jeans, putting in earpieces. I notice Bucky looking at me for a moment, but I don’t give it any notice, because he soon calls Steve over to him. I return to my prep, sliding a small dagger into my boot. I turn around, ready to leave, and nearly crash straight into a chest. My feet stumbled back and my eyes meet Steve’s concerned ones.

“What?” I say, furrowing my eyebrows. He folds his arms and looks down at my leg.

“I think you should maybe sit this one out, Y/N.” he says firmly. I stare at him incredulously.

“What?” I say, shaking my head. “No, I’m fine, Steve. I can handle myself.” He purses his lips.

“And if you can’t?” I tilt my head at him.

“I’m trained, Steve. I can handle a leg.” I say, looking at him stubbornly.

“I can’t risk you getting caught out there. You know they’ll take advantage of any of our weaknesses.” I step back.

“I’m a weakness?” I ask. He shakes his head.

“You know that’s not what I meant. I don’t want you to get hurt.” I exhale sharply, looking around at everyone else. Nat’s lips are pursed, looking at me identically to the way Steve is. Everyone has stopped what they’re doing to tune into the conversation, looking at me like I’m a child. Everyone except Bucky.

“You gotta be kidding me.” I say, setting my gaze on each one of them.

“He’s right, Y/N.” Tony says, his voice muffled by his suit. “It won’t help anyone if your leg acts up and you fall on your ass. That’s bad enough, now add the responsibility of innocents and the threat of HYDRA.” My nose flares, because I know they’re right. I silently throw off my jacket and limp back to the elevator.

“Y/N!” someone yells from behind me. I snap out of my thoughts and stop beating the bag in front of me, turning around. Bucky is standing by the Dumbbells, concern obvious on his face. “Are you alright?” he says. I breathe heavily and look down at my wrapped feet, wondering how long he was calling me for.

“Fine.” I mutter, turning back to the punching bag. I feel his eyes burning into the back of my head and huff. Great, I think, now I can’t concentrate. I straighten my posture and swallow, still knowing that he’s watching me. Ignore, ignore, ignore. I begin punching again, trying to keep from making any grunts of effort. I’m back into a routine, this time not out of anger, but out of genuine focus. I’m in the zone, pretending to deface a HYDRA junkie, making him call for his mom. I get too excited, because I jump up and do a 360, sticking out my leg—my right leg—to kick in midair. My hamstring protests, causing a jolting pierce to run up my leg. I yelp and fall to the ground, landing on my knee. “Shit.” I mutter. From the other side of the gym, I hear something falls and footsteps approach.

“Y/N?” Bucky says. “What’s wrong?” I wince and pull my legs out from underneath me, laying them out,

“Uh, hurt my leg.” I groan. His brows furrow in worry.

“How bad?” he says, his eyes darting around my leg. He sits down on his knees beside me, his hands frozen in the air, unsure of where to go.

“Think I disturbed the healing or something. Doctor kind of expected it to happen, considering I work in combat.” I sigh, the pain not subsiding.

“What can I do?” Bucky says hesitantly. There is already a polite decline leaving my mouth when I cut myself off. Shit. My face visibly shows me cringing at the words I have to say.

“Uh… My doctor said to do an exercise.” I mumble, looking down at my lap.

“What is it?” Bucky says. I sigh and run my hand over my face.

“I have to lie down and keep my legs straight, and, uh, another person has to lift my leg up really slowly and to stop when it starts to hurt. And, um, keep doing that until I can get my leg to a 90 degree angle.“ I breathe. Bucky itches the back of his neck. “You don’t have to—”

“No, it’s fine. I’m not just gonna leave you here.” he says. I keep from gritting my teeth. I kinda wish you would. It would save an incredible amount of awkwardness.

“Um. Ok.” My face turns hot as I lie down on my back with my hands at my sides. Bucky shuffles over, still sitting on the ground.

“Right leg?” he asks. I nod, watching my chest rise and fall. He gets up and leans down, taking my ankle in his hands. My breath nearly hitches at the contrast of his cold metal hand and his humanly warm flesh one. It makes goosebumps rise on my entire body. His eyes meet mine as he stands back up slowly, taking my leg with him. I internally throw profanities at myself for deciding to wear gym shorts. What’s wrong with sweats, huh? “Tell me when it hurts.” Bucky says quietly. I bite down nervously on my bottom lip. He slowly lifts my leg up, the movement of his fingers on my skin making my legs clench, which is infuriating because it makes my thigh hurt. Every move he makes, I can feel it like I’m watching it. But all I can see is my own chest and most of Bucky’s face. He looks right at me, watching for any sign of pain. Once my leg has reached the same height as wear I imagine his belly button would be, I wince and bend my knee for a split second. Bucky re-straightens it, skimming his flesh hand to my kneecap and gently pushing it down. He kneels back to the floor and sets my leg on the ground without letting go of it. He rises again, slowly, making his way back up. My fingers are digging into the mat underneath me, begging for this to be over before I do something stupid. I try to stare up at the ceiling, but it’s so difficult when I know I could be staring to his marble-like eyes instead. And that’s precisely what I do. My leg reaches his chest before the back of my thigh stretches painfully. I narrow my eyes and breathe in sharply.

“Um, it hurts.” I whisper. He stops and proceeds to repeat the protocol, kneeling and rising. The only times my eyes leave his are when they disappear behind my chest, setting my ankle down. The process repeats four more times, dead silence consuming the gym. The only sounds are my erratically beating heart, my murmurs telling him that my leg hurts, and my foot gently touching the floor. On the last time, my leg is nearly there, and when he takes a step closer to me to reach my leg easier, I nearly stop breathing. He’s towering over me, his orbs staring at me softly. He smiles slightly.

“There we go.” he says. I look at my leg and realize that it’s reached the 90 degree angle. I open my mouth, then close it. His hands roam down the back of my shin as he backs up and lays my limb back on the floor, reaching an arm out to help me up. I slowly lift my hand and take his flesh one, letting him haul me off the ground. We’re standing unbearably close, is hand on my forearm.

“Thank you.” I whisper, looking down. He nods his head and slides his hand back the way it came, down my wrist, through my hand, lightly applying pressure on my fingertips before stepping away. I take a long breath in before beginning to walk. I don’t let the breath out until I’ve safely reached my room, locking it and collapsing onto my bed.

I only have about twenty minutes to get ready for dinner, so I take an impossibly quick shower—desperately trying to wash away the tingling on my right leg— and change into a pair of dark skinny jeans and a cream colored blouse. I brush my hair and leave it down to air dry, as I don’t have time to do it. I get out of my room just in time and head down the lounge. It’s modern and sleek with grey couches and smooth wooden floors. On the other end of the room, there’s a mountain of food neatly placed on the board glass dining table. The food is surrounded by empty dinner plates and cutlery. The rest of the team have just made it, talking to one another and taking their seats. I can’t help but smile. As much as I hate to admit it, I don’t blame them for keeping me off the missions. I feel grateful that they care about me enough to put my safety before the given assignment. Nat notices me standing at the entrance of the room and smiles, gesturing for me to approach. I do, greeting everyone in a friendly manner as I take a seat between Sam and Clint, breathing in the sweet scent of fresh food and laying a towel out on my lap. Most of it hasn’t been uncovered yet, still blanketed with a silverware dome. Chatter echoes around the table, but I stay silent, watching the plates being uncovered by outstretched hands, taking in the sight. Rice, ribs, steak, pasta. Every dinner food I can think of is stretched out on the table. I feel someone tap me on the shoulder. I look over to Sam, whose looking at me mischievously. I narrow my eyes. “What?” I ask testingly. He smiles and props his cheek on his knuckles.

“I saw quite the sight earlier.” he says quietly. My eyebrows knit into a confused frown. “I saw you,” he pauses, “gettin’ all touchy with Barnes in the gym.” My eyes widen. I hear an irritating clink behind and look over to see Barton has dropped his glass of champagne. It leaks all over the glass, but no one seems to notice. He’s staring at Sam with his eyes wide. My head whips back to Sam and I give him a deadly glare. He doesn’t even look at me, but instead smiles at Clint.

“You had a thing with Barnes?” he says. I close my eyes at the volume of his voice and nearly off myself right there. The chatter at the table comes to an abrupt halt at the sentence. I’ve never been happier to not have Bucky at the table.

“No,” I croak, “I didn’t.” Tony giggles like a child. My eyes fly open and I look at him testingly. “I didn’t.”

“Then what the hell did I see?” Sam says. I swallow and look down.

“I hurt my leg. He was helping me stretch.” I say quietly. Tony makes an uh-hu and I grit my teeth.

“Stop.” I say. Sam and Tony have childish smirks on their faces that I wish I could punch clean off. Everyone else looks at me with raised eyebrows or widened eyes. “Nothing happened.” I mumble. Sam shrugs.

“Here he comes. We’ll just ask him ourselves.” Tony says. My breathing pattern disorients as I look behind me to see Bucky coming through the hall, shaking out his wet hair like a dog. I want to sink back into my chair and become one with it, completely out of sight and finished with this situation. “Hey, Barnes, what were you doing with Y/N in the gym?” Tony says. I barely look at him, just enough to see his face. He raises an eyebrow.

“Working out?” he says, like its the only possible thing that could’ve happened. I mean, it is. Of course it is. “That’s not what I saw.” Sam says, tilting his head at Bucky. I feel a lump form in my throat as Bucky looks at me in confusion.

“She hurt her thigh. I was helping her stretch.” he says, squinting.

“Mmhhmm.” Tony says. “I bet you help her stretch all the time.” I stiffen, looking around the table. Clint, Sam, and Tony giggle profusely. Steve is tugging at his lips to keep a smile from reaching them. Wanda and Nat look at me in surprise. I breathe in and look down, suddenly disheartened.

“You know what, guys?” I say quietly, standing up and folding the towel on the table. “Have a great dinner.” I push my chair out with the back of my knees. The boys aren’t laughing anymore. The table’s eyes are on me. I shuffle out of the chair and turn around, walking past Bucky, brushing his shoulder and trying not to stare at his concerned face. My feet thump, carrying me back to my room, locking the door and sitting on the end of my bed, a sigh escaping my lips.

Girls Night | Wanda Maximoff/ Natasha Romanoff |

Anonymous requested: Hey! Can I request a smutty Wanda x Natasha x Reader threesome? Like maybe they’re having a girls night out at the club and it gets hot, so they head back to the reader’s place? Thank you xx
Sure thing sweet cakes! This my first attempt at a smutty threesome, but I am going to try my hardest for you.

Summary: Normally ‘Girls Night’ consisted of staying at yours and eating junk food and watching movies, but this time Natasha wants to do something different. Besides, clubs are always fun, right?

Warnings: This is pure filth. Face-sitting, eating out, fingering, tribbing, ménage à trois, dirty talk, hair-pulling, choking, masturbation, swearing, alcohol consumption, semi-public foreplay.

“Tonight, ladies, we are doing something different!” Natasha exclaimed as she burst into the room, making you and Wanda jump.

“Like what?” You asked, worried about what she had in mind. Her kind of different could be anything from going out to leading an interrogation. She smirked and held up three dresses and make up.

“We are going to a club.” She stated, making both you and Wanda grin. It had been so long since you’d been to a club, and what better way to celebrate the end of one of the toughest missions yet than going out with your best friends.
