Hi and hugs. If it's not too much trouble, can you do something about questioning your sexuality? It's not something I'd really given thought to because I've been busy with college and uninterested in a relationship. But now that I am thinking about it, I'm not sure what I want. Or even if my attractions are from myself or from what people expect of me. Maybe from Q or the Doctor? Thanks.

Hi darlin’, and hugs to you, too!

The EMH knows it can be very difficult to sort out your own feelings versus what other people want or expect from you. Even thinking about it is a step, though, and he’s proud of you for that. Self-discovery is sometimes scary, but it can also be exciting, and he’ll be with you every step of the way. It might not be easy, but only you can figure out what you really want, and he has faith you will, in time.

Oooooh, have you seen Kubo and the Two Strings? It's really difficult to choose a favorite LAIKA movie out of the four they made so far, but let's just say I've seen KATTS the most. The movie itself is so frikin beautiful from the story to the designing and animation. If you don't mind, I hope we get to see more art from you related to LAIKA movies. ^_^

I have! It’s such a gorgeous movie. For me, I’ve seen Coraline the most. Mostly because it’s what I grew up with lmao. As for more other fanart, I can’t keep any promises 😭

People around like to headcanon that Keith used to have short hair at the Garrison, but here I'm with all the "I'll recognize that mullet anywhere." Keith had the mullet when he was at the Garrison.

EXACTLY!!!!!! He’s had his mullet since Garrison times and I love it. listen I’ve had this ask in my drafts for A G E S just to find the perfect screenshots that prove that his mullet is amazing and that it deserves more support than it gets,,, look at how great it looks when he’s moving:

I love his long bangs that always part perfectly for his eyes:

And I love the way his mullet curls upwards in the back, it looks so fluffy and soft,,,, sometimes it almost looks like an incomplete sunflower,,,,,,,,,,,,

Azaj,17, Oakland, Calif. Transgender girl. Part 1

1-As long as I can remember I always knew I was a girl. I was just very feminine, not because I tried to be, but because it was just natural. I remember when I was in elementary school everything was separated by girl and boy, it was confusing for me because I was a boy physically, but was a girl with my heart, mind and soul. It was not until I was in the 6th grade that I came across the term transgender and when I did so many questions I had started to be answered. I finally felt like I knew who I am. I knew I could trust it because it made me feel complete, that confused feeling was no longer there, but it was still a secret.

2.  It was not until I was in the 10th grade that I came out as transgender. I was really difficult because I was so used to hiding myself, but when my friends gave me the courage I needed I was unstoppable. I was finally being myself. I was wearing make-up and the clothes I wanted to wear. I truly believe I was a happier person once I came out. I started to regain that light I lost as kid. I wanted to spread my pretty colors everywhere! I had to show everyone that I had found my place in this world and that is anywhere I choose to be.

4. It is really different living as myself. I never thought that this would be happening. Before I felt like I was always trying to squeeze into jeans that were 6 sizes too small, but now it feels like am in jeans that were made just for me. I don’t feel uncomfortable. I am not always sad or overly upset. I am free. I now feel like I have a purpose. I no longer wake up hating myself or this world that does not understand me. I wake up with a smile, not because my life is so great, but because I love who I am. We will not hide anymore!

5. Have people you know been supportive?

Yes, I have a really great support system. My friends and family loves me for me and I am so grateful, but I mean not everyone I have told supports me.  It is something that comes with being transgender. People come and go in life and it hurts, however life goes on. I was told by my aunt that I am not in charge of anyone’s happiness, but my own. I strongly agree! If you support me I have room your opinions and ideas, but if you don’t you should have nothing to say about what I am or what I do in my life.

anonymous asked:

Hate to admit it but honestly I'm very slow, for the therapy session, is there a way to dumb down what the therapist said to Rick?

Hey, don’t be ashamed about not understanding something, especially with a show like Rick and Morty that is so complex and fast. It’s pretty difficult to keep up with everything in it. I find myself discovering new things every time I rewatch an episode, no matter how many times I’ve seen it before. (Which is always many, many times.) Honestly, I’ve started watching things with subtitles when I can, because I miss so much.
To be honest, I’m really nervous to answer this. Mostly because I’m afraid I’ll misinterpret something, or miss something really obvious. Or just not be that helpful. So, followers - please, feel free to add!

(I’ll literally analyse Wong’s speech word-for-word, so I apologise for any delay in replying. Thanks to @freedricksanchez for typing up the whole thing.)

Rick: Because I don’t respect therapy, Because I’m a scientist. Because I invent, transform and destroy for a living and when I don’t like something about the world, I change it. And I don’t think going to a rented office in a strip mall to listen to an agent of average-ness explain which words mean which feelings has ever helped anyone do anything. I think it’s helped a lot of people get comfortable and stop panicking, which is a state of mind [burp] we value in the animals we eat, but not something I want for myself. I’m not a cow. I’m a pickle – when I feel like it. So… you asked.

Wong: Rick, the only connection between your unquestionable intelligence and the sickness destroying your family is that everyone in your family, you included, use intelligence to justify sickness.

[Rick and Beth justify the dysfunction in their family and Rick’s poor mental health (which is the initial cause of the dysfunction) because Rick is a genius. Typically, smart people get away with things just because they’re smart. I suppose it’s natural to assume that they know what’s best in every aspect of life, since they definitely know best in at least one aspect to be called a genius.
Higher intelligence is also linked with a higher chance of depression (IRL) - hence the saying “ignorance is bliss.” People - especially Beth - tend to brush aside flaws when they’re caused by or are in conjunction with a strength.
Dr. Wong is pointing out that Rick’s genius shouldn’t be used to excuse his sickness, and the sickness it inflicts on the family as a whole.]

You seem to alternate between viewing your own mind as an unstoppable force and as an inescapable curse. And I think it’s because the only truly unapproachable concept for you is that it’s your mind within your control.

[Here, Dr. Wong theorises that Rick can’t have a constant opinion on his own intelligence and whether it is a hindrance or a strength, because he refuses to believe he is responsible for it. Rick’s apathy for everything, including the Beth he abandoned in the Cronenberg world and almost everyone he ever meets, is essentially caused by his intelligence. His intelligence allows him to travel across universes, which allows him to see people as completely dispensable, since there’s an infinite amount of them. What Rick doesn’t acknowledge, or doesn’t want to acknowledge, is that his intelligence and ability is entirely controllable by him.]

You chose to come here, you chose to talk to belittle my vocation, just as you chose to become a pickle. You are the master of your universe, and yet you are dripping with rat blood and faeces. Your enormous mind literally vegetating [haha, that’s a good pun] by your own hands.

[Rick chooses to occupy himself in ridiculous and destructive ways. There’s an infinite amount of safe, yet entertaining ways to occupy oneself, but Rick wouldn’t be captivated by any of them (for long). He chooses to throw himself into disgusting, life-threatening situations, because those situations are the only things that can truly entertain him, despite the fact that he is, essentially, a god.]

I have no doubt that you would be bored senseless by therapy, the same way I’m bored when I brush my teeth and wipe my ass. Because the thing about repairing, maintaining, and cleaning is it’s not an adventure. There is no way to do it so wrong you might die. It’s just work. And the bottom line is, some people are okay going to work, and some people… well, some people would rather die. Each of us gets to choose.

[This part hit me hard, because I relate to it waaaay too closely for comfort. Dr. Wong describes therapy for Rick as how brushing teeth is for anyone else. It’s simply looking after the body, no matter how tedious it is. Not many people like brushing their teeth. It feels like a waste of time, and the payoff isn’t something you gain. It’s just to keep the teeth you have from rotting. Wong describes therapy as the same thing. It feels wasteful and boring, but it is necessary for some people to keep their mind healthy. It’s not fun, it’s not an adventure, and there’s no reward aside from staying healthy.
Dr. Wong also describes how Rick would rather die than be bored. This ties into the previous point - Rick needs a constant stream of activity to keep him from wanting to die.
And that’s apparently not normal, but I wouldn’t really know????]

Anyway, it’s 2:39AM, so this is probably terribly written, and I apologise for that. I hope it helped, though??
(Again, please don’t feel embarrassed about not understanding all of it immediately! I didn’t either (aside from the last part), and I basically just got all of that by reading it just then!!) :) <3

summersaltturn  asked:

"Have anyone told you you have the most intimidating nostrils I've ever seen?"

“Yeah, I won an award, junior year,” Derek answers, frowning at his new IKEA (bought and built, all in a soft Henley sweater; Stiles knows, he supervised) book-shelf, like he hasn’t just finished a seven hundred page tome on Egyptian artefacts. A seven hundred page tome on Egyptian artefacts alone.

Derek Hale: epic nerd and assembler of easy-to-build IKEA products. Of course, Stiles thinks, cursing his stupid Professor and DIY kinks. Why not? The worst part is, he doesn’t even think those kinks are sexual. It’s just….a thing. That he has. A Derek thing. The Butterflies That Live In His Stomach were trying so desperately to move on with their lives, too. They’d shopped around. Hired a real-estate agent. They were ready, goddammit!

Derek settles on a book - Stiles is pretty sure it also has the word ‘artefacts’ in the title - and sighs, all feigned nostalgia, and glances over his shoulder. “It was a golden nose, too. Across the bottom it said,” he pauses, grinning, “Stiles Stilinski needs to get a life.”

Stiles opens his mouth, clutches his chest, because rude much? Is it his fault Derek’s nostrils belong in some kind of anatomy museum? Is it his fault his Saturday nights are spent playing video games in his underwear, when his week days are spent chasing down monsters and researching things like how Scott and Erica managed to contract chicken pox when stabbing them does, like, nothing? (Except get Erica excited because she’s a beautiful, terrifying weirdo.) The moment he tries to tell Derek this, however, a copy of - is that Pride and Prejudice? - is thrown at his head.

Stiles doesn’t know if he’s more offended when Derek rolls his eyes when it misses him, or the concerned look that crosses his face when the book sails past him and lands in an empty pizza box, like Derek is worried if it’s okay or not.

And to think, Stiles was going to screw up his courage and finally invite Derek to see a movie this weekend. In an actual theatre. Where people go to be normal. Well, the laugh is on Derek because Stiles is going to buy the big popcorn and he’s going to enjoy it all on his own.

Yeah, that’ll show him.

~

“Has anyone ever told you your eyebrows could star in a disturbing kid’s movie about caterpillars?”

Stiles is drunk. No, he’s wasted. Hammered. Loaded. Completely and utterly shit faced. Which is probably why instead of ending up on his ass on the floor, Derek just pinches the bridge of his nose, tips his head against the back of the couch and says, “what.” Not even a hint of inflection.

This dude, Stiles thinks, and then laughs because, ohmygod, Derek is this dude now. Not that dude or whoa, what are you doing crawling through my window, dude? but this dude. And that’s kind of beautifully heart warming, in its own way.

Really, Stiles should write into Hallmark. It could be a trilogy. A Gay Trilogy ™. Bisexuals on ice. Except, without the ice because Stiles doesn’t know how to skate. Can Derek skate? Stiles totally bets Derek can skate.

Speaking of Derek, he’s got this little crinkle on his forehead now, right between his eyebrows, and man, they really are very nice eyebrows. Animated but nice. A little dramatic but nice. Murderous but nice.

“What,” Derek says again, looking more confused than annoyed by the second. Stiles really wants to kiss him.

Instead, he stares. Stares and stares and stares.

Shit.

Slapping a hand over his mouth, he begins laughing uncontrollably and before he knows it, he’s clutching his sides and has his face pressed against Derek’s chest, because the hilarity is killing him.

Because this is them now. Drinking peach-snaps at Derek’s loft, on a couch filled with throw pillows. Throw pillows. One is even soft and pink and frilly and another has a picture of the pack on it. Granted, no one is looking at the camera but Derek, Boyd and Kira and Derek is not so much looking at the camera as yelling at Stiles (holding the camera) for eating his secret stash of cookies, but it’s nice. It’s a nice picture. There is a plain black pillow too, of course. Somewhere. Stiles might be sitting on it, actually. He figures one can only expect so much when it comes to sour-wolves but Erica glued little cat ears on it last week and Derek said nothing. Fuck, he’d even smiled.

It says a lot about what a secret softie Derek is when it comes to vulnerable, drunk-ass people, because he doesn’t push Stiles away; just lets him laugh and laugh until he passes out, drooling on his chest.

When Stiles wakes up, Derek’s sweater is pretty soaked through but he hasn’t moved an inch. He does, however, tell Stiles he snores like a deranged goose and that he owes him a pastry later.

He doesn’t even ask for a specific kind, Stiles chastises in his head, falling back to sleep. He’s in love with a pastry idiot.

~

“Do you know when you smile, you brighten up the whole damn room?”

The question clearly catches Derek off guard because he falls head first…into a duck pond.

Stiles’ first reaction is to jump in after him - he hates to admit it, but he gets a little nervous around water when Derek is with him; there have been several incidents where he’s unconsciously grabbed Derek’s hand in order to drag him away from pools and, one time, a very large puddle - but when Derek emerges, wearing his someone is about to die face, Stiles can’t be held accountable for the way he falls to the ground because, yup, that’s a tiny, outraged duckling perched on top of Derek’s head.

“Oh my god,” he yells, rolling onto his back and kicking his legs in the air. He feels like a kid, grabbing his stomach, water practically pouring from his eyes. This was, quite possibly, the best day of his life.

Normally, Derek would be yelling threats - several, in fact, some in Spanish because he’s a show off - but he just stands there….in the middle of a fucking pond. The duckling is still sitting on his head, like he or she plans to set up home there and it’s so adorable Stiles thinks he actually coos out loud.

Still, Derek still doesn’t say anything. Not even when Stiles coos again, very, very deliberately. (And Scott said his middle name could never be Danger, pffft.) Stiles can’t actually guess what Derek is going to do but he doesn’t care. He looks a strange cross between wanting to murder someone - namely, Stiles - and a little kid who was told they couldn’t get a puppy only to get one on Christmas day anyway.

Mostly, he just looks lost. And wet. Very, very wet. Somewhere out there, someone is playing It’s Raining Men and Stiles wants nothing more than to share this glorious moment with them. He’s just in the process of taking out his phone to at least snap a photo to send to the pack when -

“Did you mean it?” Derek asks, and man, those water droplets just keep on running, don’t they.

Stiles grins. “Did I mean for you to fall into a pond and adopt a new feathered friend? No but I think we can all agree-”

Stiles.”

Derek growls and it would be effective - at least in getting Stiles to help him out of the pond - if it wasn’t for the fact his ears were turning a little pink. A lot pink, actually and -

Oh.

Sitting up, Stiles drags his butt over to the edge of the pond.

“Yeah,” he says. “I meant it. I mean, smiles can’t literally light up rooms, I know that, but when you smile it’s like…” He sighs and flaps his arms, suddenly nervous, hitting Derek in the process. The duckling practically glares at him and Stiles briefly wonders if he has competition here.

Right. Better make this good then. He clears his throat.

“It’s like, everything just makes sense for a little bit, you know? I look at you and it’s not that smiling is rare for you, at least not anymore, but it’s still pretty thrilling to see it and when you do I’m like, that’s some quality shit right there but then I get confused because it’s like, do I wanna punch it? Kiss it? Pet it? Who knows. Usually it depends on what you’re wearing.”

Derek blinks and Stiles groans because, yeah, he just said that out loud. In real time. To Mr McGrumpy himself. Who is currently not reacting.

Great.

“Uh, I mean,” he attempts to correct himself but it’s too late. Derek is already slowly pulling him in and pressing his lips to his in what is the single most innocent, chaste kiss of Stiles’ life - because, you know, duckling and head movements - but somehow, it still manages to be perfect.

“Nice,” Stiles whispers, after, waggling his eyebrows.

Derek snorts and kisses him again.

~

“Turn it off,” Derek whines, nuzzling further into Stiles’ neck. “This is why I leave my phone in the kitchen. Like we discussed.

Stiles tries to swat him, ends up kissing his temple. Sue him, he’s tired. “Says the person who can afford to leave their phone in the kitchen. We don’t all have supernatural hearing, asshole.”

Derek whines again. “You also have the worst taste in ringtones.”

Stiles gasps, suddenly sitting up. Well, he tries to. When your boyfriend is made of muscle and is half lying on top of you, it makes moving a lot more difficult. Not that Stiles is really complaining. Much. “I’ll have you know Bushes of Love is a Star Wars parody classic.”

Derek rolls his eyes, Stiles can feel it, says, “just answer it, sweetums.”

“Ugh,” Stiles grimaces, “I already told you I’m sorry for the pet-name thing. It was an accident!”

“Calling me your ‘slutty buddy’ in front of your dad was meant as a pet name?”

“It sounded better in my head!”

Derek groans and wraps an “exasperated” arm around Stiles’ waist. Oh. So. Exasperated. Stiles grins. “Answer. Your. Phone.”

Stiles finds his phone on the fifth try.

He has fifteen missed calls, all from Erica. Texts too. Every single one is a link to some article online, followed by a string of heart and eggplant emojis.

Young Love and the Ugly Duckling’,” Stiles reads, clicking on the link. “Uhhh, Derek?” He prods him.

What.”

There’s a picture of us in the online Beacon Gazette,” looking into each other’s eyes, like a pair of love sick fools, Stiles wants to add because, wow, is he really that obvious when he looks at Derek? To be fair though, Derek isn’t much better and he is the one with an angry bird on his head.

He prods Derek again and again until he finally gives in, makes him look at the phone.

“Huh,” he says, blinking at it. “Fred looks pretty pissed that I’m kissing you.” His face breaks out in a smug grin and Stiles rolls his eyes. Hard.

“You are aware Fred is a duckling, right?”

“Yes.” Derek grins harder, showing all his teeth, although his cheeks do colour slightly when he catches Stiles’ eye.

Stiles sighs, totally not fond. “They couldn’t have come up with a better title, though?” he asks, brandishing his phone. “The Ugly Ducking, really?”

Yeah,” Derek says, frowning. “I mean, I wouldn’t go as far as to call you ugly.” He laughs and Stiles smacks him across the chest with a loud, “hey!”

They both turn back to look at the picture.

“We look so stupid,” Stiles whispers, shaking his head and biting his thumb. We fit, he thinks. We look like we fit.

Leaning in, Derek smiles at him. “We do,” he agrees, burying his face back into the warmth of Stiles’ neck, muttering something about home and content and stupid Star Wars parodies.

Stiles snaps a selfie, captions it goals, and sends it to Erica.

On Applying to 20+ Colleges

I completed 24 college applications, submitted 17 (to Princeton, Cornell, Vanderbilt, Rice, Amherst, Georgetown, Emory, UCLA, UC Berkeley, University of Michigan, UNC-Chapel Hill, UVA, University of Pittsburgh, Williams, Washington University in St. Louis, Harvard and Yale) and received admission to all except the last four.

N.B. Some of this info may be dated/inaccurate and 100% of it is tinged w/ my own bias.

Things To Think About

Why do you want to apply to so many colleges?

  • If it’s hubris (i.e. “I want to collect admissions offers like trophies”) or fear (i.e. “If I submit more applications, I’m less likely to be shut out from every school I apply to"), stop and reevaluate. I applied to Vanderbilt even though I knew I’d never want to head south. The reason? It traditionally takes a lot of kids from my HS. Yeah, don’t be like me.

Do you really want to spend all that money?

  • I ended up wasting $2500 (and that’s a conservative estimate) on 17 schools. I’ll only be attending one college in the fall.

That said…it can be done.

General Tips

  • The “Why Us” essay isn’t asking “why would you choose our college?” so much as “why should our college choose you?” Emphasize how you’ll contribute to the college—inside the classroom and out—by referencing specific programs, classes, and extracurriculars.
  • Creating a template is a major time-saver. Once you have an effective “skeleton,” all you have to do is insert school-specific details.
  •  Stay organized.
    • Create a spreadsheet. These were my columns: College Name, Application Type, Application & Aid Deadline, Standardized Test Report, Transcript & SS Form, Recommendation Letter Deadline, Creative Writing Supplement (Y/N), Interview (Y/N), Merit Scholarship (Y/N), CSS Profile, FAFSA, Sticker Price, Response Date.
    • If you use Google Drive, create a folder for each college.
  • Consider making a CV/resume. Keep it short (~1 page). Possible uses: upload as a part of your application; hand it to alumni interviewer.

Miscellaneous

  • Don’t apply to Georgetown unless you really really like it. There’s a separate application (not Common App) that’s cumbersome to fill out, and you can’t access it until you pay the application fee (which also happens to be p expensive)
  • Optional essays are NEVER optional. Hopefully, this is obvious.
  • The more selective publics (UC Berkeley, UCLA, UVA, UNC, UMich) are more holistic than you think. They reject high stats kids on the reg (anecdote: a dude from my school who got into Caltech didn’t get into Berkeley; another who got into Cornell didn’t get into UMich) so PAY ATTENTION to the essays.
  • Alumni interviews don’t matter AT ALL unless you make a terrible impression—or possibly if you’re a borderline applicant.

N.B. Applying to colleges based on the perceived difficulty of the application isn’t the greatest idea. That said, for your reference:

Easy College Applications

Vanderbilt University

  • Very easy. Only a 100-word extracurricular essay, I believe. Unless you want to fill out a scholarship application.

Washington University in St. Louis

  • Also very easy. No supplement unless you fill out scholarship app.

Amherst College

  • Zero work if you have a graded school essay you’re proud of (can upload in lieu of a college supplement)

Harvard University

  • I think there’s just one supplement and you can write about whatever you want.

Cornell University

  • Just one “Why Us” essay

University of Pennsylvania

  • One “Why Us” Essay, unless you’re applying to Engineering or a special program like Wharton, M&T, etc.

Moderate College Applications

Duke University

  • Three supplements, I think. All fairly straightforward. There’s a diversity essay that’s optional (refer to the Miscellaneous section)

Princeton University

  • A lot of short, lighthearted questions (favorite keepsake, favorite movie, etc.) and an essay (they give you three prompts to choose between)

Stanford University

  • Three fairly straightforward, 150-word essays. There’s a letter to your roommate, an intellectual interest essay, and something else.

Emory University

  • Easy, short supplements, but there are three of them.

All the UCs

  • There’s one UC application for all the UC schools (Berkeley, LA, Irvine, etc.) so same essays and everything, but you have to pay an application fee for each school you apply to. There are a lot of questions (called Personal Insight Questions) so it’s not quick, but once you’re done you’ve covered multiple schools. Also, if you are applying, ask your counselor about the UC GPA.

UMich

  • Three short essays, one of which is “Why Major.” Another is an extracurricular essay. Don’t remember the third.

UNC

  • I don’t really remember the supplements, but they weren’t that bad.

Difficult/Thought-Provoking College Applications

Yale University

  • This is hard because there are a ton of questions with 35, 100, and 150- word limits. “Why Yale” essay. Hard to come up with insightful answers/make an impression with so little space.

UChicago

  • I personally wasn’t a fan of the cutesy/philosophical prompts, and the essays that I wrote (but ultimately never submitted) reflected my utter lack of interest. If you enjoy them, UChicago may just be the school for you :P

Dartmouth College

  • Only three short i.e. 150 word essays, but one of them referenced Sesame Street. Something along the lines of ‘It’s not easy being green. Discuss.” There was another one on describing a time when you said YES to something. Anyway, I disliked them and never completed my application.

UVA

  • I think there are three short essays, but they require a decent amount of thought. Although UVA is a public school, craft your essays well. The admission officers care a lot about them.

Williams College

  • There’s only one short supplement, but it’s a real pain. Hard not to veer into cliche territory.

Tedious College Applications

Columbia University

  • So many (five?) supplements. Some are generic though. “Why Columbia,” a list of books you’ve read/media you’ve consumed.

Rice University

  • Also a lot of supplements. “Why Rice,” “Why Major,” Diversity essay, the famous box (where you can upload any image you want).

I was excited for your site until I saw you agreeing with someone about "petty SJW bullshit." As a gay and trans person who is a survivor of incestuous abuse, merely trying to discuss my experiences and how certain people used the "fiction isn't real" excuse to traumatized me further explicitly and knowingly about what happened to me has been excused as just me wanting to be mad. A/N:  Thank you all for the amazing feedback and support on the last chapter.  I’m completely blown away and ecstatic that you like the story.  I hope you like this next part, it’s a little drawn out but I had some angst I needed to get out.  Feedback is always appreciated.  Thank you again for your patience between updates.

Apparently Natasha didn’t actually want you to answer that question.  She was ranting and raving, throwing her hands in the air, pointing a polished, accusatory finger in your direction.  She switched from English to Russian so quickly that it seemed as is if she were a one-woman show playing all the parts.  You couldn’t get a word in edgewise though.  Every time you opened your mouth to reply she merely answered herself or spoke right over you with a barrage of “what were you thinkings” “you could have dieds” “I’ve never seen anything do stupid in my entire lifes” “what the hell is wrong with yous” and what you suspected were several rude and explicit Russian insults.

Shy anon here! Do you think Keith has experience flirting? *Cough Lance* I'm a Klance shipper too, but to shy to talk to you :3

Do I think that Keith has experience flirting?

No. I really don’t. The Voltron twitter stated that the thing he dislikes the most is “tomfoolery” and I am 99% sure that in his definition flirting is a part of that. It also doesn’t really fit his character - he is way too honest and open about everything. And he gets embarrassed easily (we all know that he usually has no problems with doing dumb stuff with the team but once it crosses a certain line, he just refuses. that’s what happened in the bad sound effects/laser guns scene hah). Even just the thought of flirting with someone probably makes him embarrassed.

That being said… he can’t be embarrassed if he isn’t aware that he’s flirting ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

“Ok so what’s 16 times ½?”

“I don’t like fractions, Y/N,” Paddy whined.

“Come on Paddy you know this. If it’s difficult to work out, then you just have to put it in the calculator,” You handed him the calculator and watched as he pressed some buttons.

“8?” He answered unsure.

“Yes you got it!” You smiled at him.

“Thanks for helping me again Y/N. I know you have other things to do,” He smiled at you before writing down the next problem from his book.

“No problem Paddy. I’m always here to help. Besides I’m not doing anything at the moment.” You smiled down at the little boy.

“I beg to differ…” Tom called from his spot on the couch almost pouting as he said that.

You rolled your eyes at him. “What’s wrong baby?”

“I’m getting rather lonely darling.” He stuck out his lower lip.

“Nonsense, Tessa’s right there.” You motioned to her laying across his lap.

He gave you an annoyed look before continuing. “I meant lonely for a human touch.”

“Well why didn’t you say so.” You smiled.

You watched as his face lit up.

“Harry, Tom needs you!” You called over your shoulder.

Tom’s smile turned into an even more annoyed frown. You turned back and continued helping Paddy finish up his homework.

“You called?” Harry appeared into the room.

“Uh yes, go hug Tom.” You waved him off.

“What on earth for?” He quirked a brow.

“He needs affectionate love.” You said as you scanned over the problem Paddy was having difficulty on.

“Awe Tom needs some lovey dovey smooches.” Harry starting teasing him with kissing noises.

“Piss off Harry.” Tom slumped his shoulders.

He was tired of patiently waiting for you to finish helping his little brother. All he wanted was for you to be cuddled up against him since it was his day off from work after all. He got of from the sofa and took big strides to the table where you and Paddy were seated at.

He watched as you explained to his little brother how to work out an equation. He always did admire the way you were with little kids. You just had this charm that affected others around you.

He walked around the table to stand behind you. You were in the middle of explaining something to Paddy, but you cut off your sentence when you felt a pair of lips on your neck. You whipped your head around to send Tom a warning glance.

“Tom, not now sweetie.” You protested but gave him a sweet peck.

“You just keep helping Pad’s and I will be right here.” He smiled.

“Okay?”

You did continue but every now and then having to stop because Tom was in need of some attention.

“So if you simplify 2/4 you’ll then get….?” You waited for his response.

“1/2.” He said unsure.

“Yes, good job Pad’s your doing wonderful!” You ruffled his hair a bit.

“Thanks Y/N.” He smiled up at you.

You felt another tap on your shoulder and turned around only to be kissed by Tom…again.

“Thomas…” You trailed on.

“What am I not able to kiss by girlfriend anymore?”

“Ugh your unbelievable.” You rolled your eyes before planting your lips back on his. It was sweet, only lasting for a minute, but simply full of the love you had for one another.

“Ewww.” Paddy said.

You both pulled back and Tom gave you a cheeky smile.

“Ewww huh? Alright Pad’s.” Tom cupped your cheek and attached his lips to yours again.

“Blehhh.” You turned to see Paddy place his palms over his eyes. You both let out a chuckle and looked at each other. Tom stood up and circled around you to stand beside Paddy. Tom and you shared a look and then placed a kiss on each of Paddy’s cheeks. You both pulled back with a big mwuah. Paddy’s face contorted in a scrunched up way.

“How’s that for ewww?” Tom teased Paddy.

“I’d give you a 3.” Paddy retorted and you couldn’t help but laugh.

Tom threw him a fake hurt look.

“You’re gonna regret that Padster.” Tom then began tickling and planting smooches on his little brother.

“Okay, okay. Sorry Tom.” Paddy heaved out, out of air from all the laughing.

“That’s more like it.” Tom nodded satisfied.

“Y/N’s still the better kisser.”

“Oh come one!” Tom whined.

About Vincent’s attitude in the flashbacks (ch131/132)

I want to address two different things, the first point because it is strange, the second point because I saw a lot of possible misunderstanding.

1) Vincent and foreshadowing

I want to talk about this scene that left me a bit ???…

because nothing particularly important is being said and yet Vincent says something that sounds like a premonition with a rather ominous face and what made me address this is that it’s not the first time

So, here I am, wondering if the possible regular pattern doesn’t mean something in particular, because we also had a possible foreshadowing moment about the current arc (probably referring to the twins’ conflict itself) from his own mouth in ch107.5…

And I already made a post on the subject, but in ch131 we had several Evil Nobles showing up on the same day as Vincent asking Diedrich for a favor, namely, to look after his sons should anything happen to him, 3 years before anything actually happened to him, as if he was expecting something to happen to him soon.

…going as far as to add after “You never know”:

In case you were wondering, yes I know this sounds crazy and I had never considered something as random as “Vincent had small precognitive powers” before this chapter, but I find that this makes for a strange and regular pattern.
And yes, for all we know, it’s just Vincent breaking the 4th wall because Yana enjoys writing him like that, but still…

We also know, thanks to ch103, that the Phantomhive family share a special lineage, even if the details are still unknown to this day, aside from the fact that it allows our!Ciel to see Shinigamis when he shouldn’t be able to.

Obviously it’s hard to reach any conclusion until we see more flashbacks of Vincent, but it’s something to keep in mind in my opinion, just in case it’s useful later. x)

2) Vincent and our!Ciel

This other point focuses solely on ch132 and starts with this scene:

Judging by Vincent’s silent glance, I agree with @akumadeenglish‘s interpretation that he was carefully observing his sons’ reaction and ideas at the time. The big question is, whose words did he appreciate the most?

I know many might think that it’s real!Ciel’s, since he seemed like the perfect heir when our!Ciel was weaker and not supposed to inherit anything, however I think ch132 is actually full of hints that Vincent took a real interest in how our!Ciel was thinking.

If you don’t believe me, take a look at the discussion with Frances:

…because Vincent initially seemed to be quite out of it as she made her point that the Watchdog duty would be too dangerous for our!Ciel, going as far as to answer pretty dismissively to his sister…

But I personally didn’t read this scene as Vincent just shrugging it off because he didn’t care about his second son dying, or what should happen to the family if his heir died, but rather because he simply didn’t agree with Frances on the matter of our!Ciel not being strong enough to take on the Watchdog duty.

The second hint is that he took both his sons with him when he went to inspect the domain…

…even though many readers interpreted his words from before as not being very trusting of our!Ciel’s abilities.
However, if he really didn’t think that our!Ciel could be a good and strong heir, then why did he even take him with him and real!Ciel in the first place? Why didn’t he appear to educate them differently, except maybe when it comes to fighting?

Finally, not everyone might want to call these hints, but this is Vincent in the side story With Father! and ch107.5:

And he doesn’t seem to particularly dislike the fact that our!Ciel is the current Watchdog (in case you were wondering, he never calls him “Ciel” so we can safely assume he knows which son’s adventures he’s reading x)).

So back to this scene…

I think he actually found our!Ciel’s words interesting because, compared to the twin, our!Ciel’s proposition seemed more genuinely good-hearted and thus different from what he might have been expecting from a potential future Watchdog. However, this isn’t really surprising when we know what our!Ciel wanted to do as an adult and why.

Our!Ciel is kinder at heart and appears to be more selfless than his twin brother and I believe Vincent caught on that through our!Ciel’s answer (”granting everyone’s wishes sounds difficult”) & that it’s what possibly interested him.

Because friendly reminder again that Vincent said that Kuroshitsuji (so literally our!Ciel acting as the Watchdog) was “interesting” and that it was something “the Undertaker recommended”, which means that Vincent seems to agree with UT when it comes to our!Ciel:

3) Conclusion?

1 => I don’t know how seriously we’re supposed to take Vincent’s words when he speaks about the future (see the examples above), because there is still a possibility that Yana enjoys breaking the 4th wall with using his character.

However, considering we still know nothing about how supernatural the Phantomhive lineage might be, I’m going to keep these examples in mind just in case there is a reason Vincent can foreshadow things.

2 => I don’t think Vincent ever casted off his second child (our!Ciel) as being weak, useless and not making for a good heir because:

  • he didn’t want to address the subject with Frances
  • he took our!Ciel along with real!Ciel when he explained what the duties of a lord were
  • there are hints that he shared UT’s opinion on how interesting it is that our!Ciel appears to act and think differently from the rest of his ancestors.

I hope it was understandable, thanks for reading!

Saeran’s romantic and sexual awakening (NSFW-ish)

  •  He’s not feeling well these days
  • He doesn’t know what’s happening, but his stomach feels empty, he often gets chills and feels his face heating and reddening up
  • And these symptoms appear only when you’re around
  • So his first instinct is getting the hell away from you, he doesn’t know how you do these things to him, but he definitely doesn’t want to find out
  • But… avoiding you isn’t doing any good, when you come to visit him and he hides in his room, all those weird sensations get worse when he imagines if you’re angry for being ignored.
  •  Or worse: if you’re hurt. Oh… he can almost feel the pain imagining that he could hurt you…
  • Most of the first clues are these physical reactions, he realizes it must be something emotional when he has to deal with an unfamiliar and irritating feeling: jealousy.
  • He feels his blood boiling when Zen acts flamboyantly around you and you blush… Saeran would like to know how to make you blush…
  • Saeyoung makes you smile so easily… Saeran would like to know how to make you smile…
  • Oh crap… is this what they call “having a crush”?
  • He does what any person would do in this situation: google it.
  • WikiHow has an article on how to recognize you have a crush on someone. “Noticing you act different around the person you might have a crush on from how you act around friends and family.”
  • Well, he’s not that talkative around RFA and he can’t help but snapping on his brother, even if he doesn’t really mean to.
  • But with you… ah, he feels like talking. He hates having an awkward silence between the two of you, and… he loves hearing your voice when you answer one of his questions about whatever.
  • And he doesn’t feel the need to be rude when you’re around, much on the contraire, it’s so important to him being… nice… with you.
  • Yep, he has a crush.
  • And acknowledging it doesn’t make any easier for him, it just makes things more difficult…
  • Because now he wants to understand what he likes about you, and boy… he could make a list.
  • Your eyes, your lips, your hair, your voice, your lips… the way you giggle… your lips, your kindness, your lips, the way you understand him…did he mention how much he likes your lips?
  • Your lips when you lick an ice cream cone, the way your tongue runs on them to wipe them clean from the ice cream… the way… you would place them on his lips with softness and eagerness…
  • Oh… what is he thinking? This is wrong! Wrong as imagining you trailing your lips down his neck, chest, belly… ugh… he’s being such a pervert!
  •  It’s all so confusing and overwhelming he decides to go to the extremes of… ugh… asking his brother for advice.
  •  “I think you’re having more than just a little crush, bro.” “I didn’t ask you that, I asked you what I could do to make these thoughts stop!”
  • “Well, I don’t know about making them stop, but you’ll feel lighter when putting them out there, at least…” “Putting out there? You mean…” “Talking to MC, bro.”
  • “You’re nuts! I’ll only get worse when she rejects me.” “How can you be so sure she’ll reject you?” “Why wouldn’t she? Look at her, look at me…”
  • Saeyoung feel his heart clenching, his poor lil’ bro… so he keeps trying to convince him how great he is and how much you would be happy if he ever decided to be sincere about his feelings, but boy isn’t buying any of this.
  •  “Okay, so… just jerk off thinking of her, I don’t know…” “UGH, WHAT ARE YOU SAYING, YOU IDIOT? DON’T EVER SAY WEIRD SHIT LIKE THAT! Ugh, I’m… I’m calling MC, I’m taking her to the park.” Saeyoung smirks.
  • “I’m so glad you invited me, Saeran, I thought you didn’t want to see me anymore…” you say with a sad smile… oh… are you hurt by that? Well, he’s… he’s very hurt too.
  • “Why wouldn’t I want to see you anymore, MC? I… I like… having you around… a lot…” you blush. Oh, did he really make you blush?
  • “I like having you around too, Saeran.” You smile, oh… did he make you smile that easily?
  •  “I think… I think you could be more around…” he says almost in a whisper “Yes, I would love that.”
  • Love? You would… love? Love…
  • It’ not a crush, it’s… love.
  • Ugh… now he’s even more screwed.
Once Upon a Time star Colin O'Donoghue on major Hook twist

So that‘s how Hook is sticking with Once Upon a Time!

Sunday’s Hook-centric episode revealed that the Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) we thought we were watching in Hyperion Heights during last week’s season premiere wasn’t actually the one-armed pirate we’ve come to know and love since season 2.

When Henry (Andrew J. West) called upon his family for help in Enchanted Forest flashbacks, Emma (Jennifer Morrison), Regina (Lana Parrilla), and Hook all answer the call — but so does Wish Hook! Remember that drunken, bumbling Wish Realm version of Hook we met last season? Well, he momentarily aligns with Lady Tremaine (Gabrielle Anwar) to make him look like our Hook in a bid gain Emma’s heart, which will help him find his missing daughter. Yup! Ultimately, Wish Hook discovers Emma is pregnant, so he lets her and Hook-Prime return to Storybrooke to get their happy ending. It’s then Wish Hook and Regina who continue on this journey with Henry, thus answering the question of how O’Donoghue is sticking with the show, but Morrison is not.

“I was really happy that they got their happy ending, to be honest,” O’Donoghue tells EW. “It had been such a long journey for those two characters, and such a difficult journey that I was glad to see that, in the end, they get their happy ending, because that was the whole point of the musical episode, and the big number with a happy beginning right before the Black Fairy’s curse hit. For me, I think it was the right way to go for those two characters.”

Knowing he’d be playing a different version of this character is actually one of the reasons the actor decided to continue on with the show. “I knew about Wish Hook from early on,” O’Donoghue says. “I had spoken to Eddy [Kitsis] and Adam [Horowitz] about that. Also, because Wish Hook — not the younger version of Wish Hook, but the older version of Wish Hook — was one of my favorite versions of him to play, so it was exciting to get to do that. Trying to bring elements of who that crazy old man was into this younger version of him has been fun.”

“It’s good because it also allows Hook to move on, because it’s a different version of him from the Emma-Hook relationship, which has been such a huge part of the show,” O’Donoghue continues. “It’s a very clever way of making sure the Captain Swan fans — fans of Hook and Emma — get their happy ending after going on such a big journey with them for the last few seasons. I think it’s a clever way of us being able to move on with a new version of Hook.”

But how different is this version of Hook? As O’Donoghue reveals, Wish Realm Hook and Hook-Prime both have similar backgrounds, but where their experiences differ is that the Evil Queen never cast her curse in the Wish Realm. “They had the same journey up until that point, so they are similar,” O’Donoghue says. “Wish Hook has a whole different set of rules and agendas that the original Hook didn’t have. Whereas his main thing was to get revenge on Rumplestiltskin, Wish Hook has a separate thing.”

That separate thing is finding his missing daughter — twist! — which actually gives him a similar M.O. to the original Hook in a surprising way. “We see that that’s where Wish Hook’s main motive lies in him wanting to find his daughter,” O’Donoghue says. “I guess it’s similar to original Hook where he was motivated by love for Milah, everything that Wish Hook does is motivated out of love for his daughter. It’s been fascinating to try and explore how to make Wish Hook the same as the other version of Hook that I played. That’s been a big thing for me for the season is trying to figure out how do I keep this character similar enough for him to be the same character on the show, but different enough for him to be interesting and kind of new?”

Naturally, one of the burning questions is: Who is Hook’s daughter? Alas, O’Donoghue won’t reveal that just yet. All viewers know is she was locked away by an evil witch. But even more pressing: Who is the mother? Again, O’Donoghue is mum. “No,” O’Donoghue says with a hearty laugh. “But I can tease that we will get to find out.”

One Direction split was painful... but it was Harry wanted, says Louis Tomlinson

WHEN ONE DIRECTION began an extended hiatus at the end of 2015, much was made of the friendships and alliances within the world’s biggest band.

LOUIS TOMLINSON was the natural leader of 1D and keen for the group to continue their chart-conquering progress.

But his former BFF HARRY STYLES was ready to go on an indefinite break, leading to understandable tensions within the group. In part two of his revealing world-exclusive interview, Louis is brutally honest about that difficult period, shining a light for the first time on how the decision to split was made.

He says: “It was an uncomfortable time more than anything. We’ve always had a level of respect for each other in these meetings and we always said that 100 per cent honesty and openness is so important if you’re going to get on as a band.

It made those situations a little bit difficult because I felt like I really was building up confidence in myself and in my place within the band and as a songwriter in the band.I could feel that potentially it was going to be a break. What was difficult was trying to understand how long that might be. So that process was kind of a little uncomfortable.

You’re asking guys who have grown up being best friends to make selfish decisions, which they should do, based on themselves.“But it doesn’t change the fact that it was difficult for me to accept at first.”

However, 18 months on, with the launch of a promising solo career, Louis’ opinion has changed.

He says: “If you asked me now if I think it’s the wrong decision, I don’t think it was. I think the market and the fans and everyone had had so much of One Direction that regardless of any individual ventures, the market could do with a two-, three- or however long break away from us.”

Louis — who yesterday released his new single Back To You with rising star BEBE REXHA,— is honest that he is not as close to Harry as NIALL HORAN or LIAM PAYNE.

He says: “There’s no politics or anything. Inevitably in a band, you’re going to get some people who get on really well and some people who get on quite well. I have forever had a very, very high level of respect for Harry. He’s great in this situation, he’s great on stage, he’s a great musician and artist. It’s just one of those things that happens naturally in a band.”

Louis and Harry’s friendship was also dogged by a ridiculous five-year conspiracy by a group of determined fans known as Larries.

They believe that the pair are in a romantic relationship that was covered up by 1D management, SIMON COWELL and even me (I promise you I’d have been delighted to report that Harry and Louis were an item if that were the case).

Sadly, Louis admits the pressure from Larry conspiracy theorists was a factor in their friendship struggling, especially given the serious relationship he has with girlfriend Eleanor Calder.

He says: “I’ve never actually been asked about it directly. It’s a funny thing. It kind of happened naturally for me and Harry because a certain amount of the fans drew up this conspiracy.

When it first came around I was with Eleanor, and it actually felt a little bit disrespectful to Eleanor, who is my girlfriend now. I’m so protective over things like that, about the people I love.

So it created this atmosphere between the two of us where everyone was looking into everything we did. It took away the vibe you get off anyone. It made everything, I think on both fences, a little bit more unapproachable. I think it shows that it was never anything real, if I can use that word.”

In recent months I’ve asked Liam, Niall and Harry whether 1D could re-form without Harry or with former bandmate ZAYN MALIK.

Louis is clearly surprised by the question and takes a long time to think before replying: “When Zayn left, it still felt like One Direction, but we still didn’t feel like the whole. So then to even take maybe Harry out as well — it’s something that I can’t ever imagine, really. I feel like it’s got to be for the fans, and not for the three that want to get back together.”.

Louis is clearly keen for the band to get back together, but he understands that Harry — currently promoting his big-screen debut in the film Dunkirk — has not yet made a decision.

He says: “Harry is actually an inspiring person to watch as a businessman, as a musician. He doesn’t really lose, Harry. He’s a very, very hard worker and his potential is massive in so many different fields.

So I don’t know the answer, but if I’m Harry . . . I don’t know yet. Honestly, I just think it’s too difficult to say, especially with someone like Harry, who’s got so much potential. It’s just kind of a confusing place for him to be as an individual, to be like, ‘OK, what is next?’ ”

1D fans are asking exactly the same thing . . .

THE end of 1D was hard on all the boys – and now Louis has revealed how upsetting it was after their final concert in Sheffield.

He said: “I’ve got this video from the last show. There’s a minute of me and Niall hugging, just kind of sobbing like, ‘This is f***ing crazy.’

”Louis was always close to Niall, but being apart hasn’t dampened their friendship.

He added: “Niall’s the best. We just get so excited about each other’s s**t.” Cute.

Holding on to Si

HE was discovered on The X Factor, and it was on that stage that One Direction gave their final performance in December 2015.

But Louis has admitted he felt frustrated last summer when he wasn’t given a judging role following lengthy discussions about replacing NICK GRIMSHAW.

He said: “It was something that I would have liked to have done. But it’s business. That’s how it works. It was kind of surprising to see me essentially being replaced by LOUIS WALSH.”

But the Just Hold On singer held no grudge against show boss SIMON COWELL. He is the only 1D member to sign with Cowell’s Syco label after the pop guru masterminded the group’s success.

Louis said: “Simon has always been willing to listen. It was a no-brainer to me.”

It has certainly worked well so far.

———————————————————————————————————

FROM London to LA, Louis has lived around the globe since 1D began. But he still cherishes his home town Doncaster, where he shot the video for his new single.

He said: “I love it. I feel like I owe people from Doncaster. But I just get this feeling . . . I want to push Doncaster on everyone.”

Louis, whose baby son Freddie Reign lives in LA with his ex Briana Jungwirth, added: “LA’s very different to Doncaster. The people are chalk and cheese. I obviously cherish my time with my son and it’s fantastic for work and the weather is great, but I do cherish my time back home.”

—————————————————————————————————————————–

LIAM PAYNE and CHERYL are one of the most loved-up couples in pop, but even Louis didn’t quite believe they were together at first.

Asked if he thought his bandmate was joking when he confided in him about his relationship, Louis said: “I’m not going to lie, I wasn’t 100 per cent. I’m not saying I didn’t buy it – of course I did. It was just a little bit surprising for me at first.”

He knew about the couple’s secret romance in February last year at the Brit Awards but kept his lips sealed.

Louis continued: “I remember being outside and sharing a cigarette with them and him being excited and trying to play it cool. But I’m really happy for him. I think it’s important that Liam has someone around him who’s going to really look after him. I don’t know Cheryl too well. I’ve always thought she’s lovely, so hopefully she looks after our Liam.”

Bless.

The series is consistently lauded for its emotional intelligence, its musical numbers (including songs sung by Estelle and Patti LuPone, who Sugar wooed with roses), its nuanced character development, and especially its insistent queerness – one major character is the literal and metaphorical embodiment of a lesbian relationship, and almost no one in its central family is related by blood.

With her mop of black hair, indefatigable smile and seemingly boundless energy (she’ll turn 30 in July), it’s not hard to see Sugar in her creation. But series protagonist Steven – a relentlessly kind, goofy boy at the center of a millennia-old galactic war between the Earthbound Crystal Gems (Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl) and the parasitic Gem Homeworld – has a lot less going on in his life than his creator.

Steven Universe isn’t just a TV show: It’s a sprawling, many-tentacled property that includes comics, an upcoming console video game, a just-released soundtrack album, a New York Times best-selling children’s book and merchandise recreating most of Steven’s clothes. Most of these run through Sugar personally in some capacity – she wrote The Answer (the children’s book), made editing passes on the companion volume Steven Universe’s Guide to the Crystal Gems, oversaw the tracklisting and remixing for the album, and contributed dialogue and artistic guidance to the game, Save the Light.

The scope of her job both excites Sugar and, occasionally, pains her. “When I don’t have time to be really involved, it’s definitely strange to see something come into existence and know that I…” She cuts herself off. “But it’s hard to stay away.” Letting anything go is difficult for Sugar, whose life and relationships, in a sense, are the show.

Steven is something of a tribute to Rebecca’s brother Steven Sugar, a background designer on the show. The show’s exploration of romantic relationships (particularly in the character of Garnet, the living embodiment of a romantic relationship) is informed by her own with long-term partner Ian Jones-Quartey, a former executive producer on Steven Universe and the creator and showrunner for upcoming Cartoon Network series OK K.O!. “My time with them is trapped inside the show,” Sugar says. “That’s what makes it special.”
