this was my favourite show

Hi, I am Sanne and I live in the Netherlands. I am still in high school but I hope that I can go to university in about 1 year.

My hobbies are reading, playing volleyball, listening to music, photography, watching tv shows or movies and learning new stuff.

My favourite music is mostly everything that is super popular because the music will get stuck in my head and I will sing it out loud everytime and I am pretty sure we all do that so that’s not weird at all.

My favourite tv shows are how I met your mother and the librarians. How I met your mother I just like because of the humor in it and the librarians because it is all about old legends and smart people who try to solve something.

It doesn’t matter we send emails or letters but I kinda like the idea of letters because you can send real photos and see the handwriting of the people you get the letter of. Also I don’t actually speak any other languages than Dutch or English but I would like to improve my English because the grammer is really not my thing. (as you probably can tell by this text)

Preferences: Around my age would be nice :)

hey , What do u think arnav was trying to achieve when he decided to slip the dupatta out of the box in the suhagraat episode 😂😂😂

Hello :)

I think there were a few things behind that.

I think the first was that Arnav wanted to see how deep her sense of modesty ran. He’s her husband, there’s absolutely nothing wrong in her being without a dupatta around him, but her reaction makes complete sense given the state of their relationship at that point. Khushi even slept with her dupatta on for a very long time, and it only very slowly made its way to the foot of the bed and then eventually to the sofa (one of my very favourite progressions on the show, and I have a set of gifs in my drafts tracking it!)

I think the second aspect was that he wanted to make her his bride.

The first time Arnav saw Khushi as his bride was during this scene:

That image stuck with him, so much so that when he tasked himself with setting up their Suhaag Raat, he chose a red outfit (his favourite colour) with a pink dupatta. By taking it out of the box and putting it on her himself, he effectively made her into the bride he saw all those months ago.

I think this is incredibly fitting because he wanted their marriage to transition from the limbo it was into a real marriage, complete with the physical intimacy that’d been missing since the lead up to the Payash wedding.

Bonus: A pink dupatta was used to tie them as one when they were married formally.

There’s also the significance of pink dupattas in the Arnav-aur-Khushi-hamesha theme, but I’ve talked about that here :)

I've seen that you also like Brooklyn99, and i was wandering if you ever have doodled something. I like your style so much, but i had a break from tumblr for two years so i don't remember if you ever did something about the series. :)

Aw thanks! I do really love the show and the characters but I haven’t done any art for it, no. I should really fix that.

Here’s a little Holt doodle
