Listen how long do you think it took for them to let Murphy out how long was he in there wondering and waiting and praying that she was okay medha listen how long was he alone thinking that that was all he would ever be - alone
He’d probably given up hope. He was probably thinking back to all the times she wanted to run away and he convinced her they’d be fine there. He was probably filled with so much self hate and regret and hopelessness.
And that’s how the story goes. Jack is born into the world on the day his father seals the ultimate of evils, destined to take up that same mantle and battle one day himself.
Where his father failed, Jack must unmake Aku completely, a task ultimately even the gods failed in. A challenge like no other.
A long way to go still.
A long journey for them all.
So that was that, the history of Aku, how he came to be and the origin of the divine sword that is his bane. It was interesting, definitely, though frustrating too for there’s no legitimate explanation for why the gods, aware of Aku, chose to have a human deal with it instead. And went on to do nothing after Jack was cast in time and Aku took over completely.
I’ll give this part an 8/10 like the last to follow, interesting and enjoyable, but nothing ground-shaking. Next episode, and the last of season 3, tomorrow.
I think one curious little thing is that we, at first sight, never get shown Viktor’s expression in this moment when Yuuri suddenly pushes him way, leaving many wondering how he actually responded to it
they did add his reflection in Yuuri’s eyes and it makes me cry because he’s SO CONFUSED AND HURT BY THE SUDDEN REJECTION
it just ties in so well with Viktor’s fear of rejection (I wrote about it here) where he desires emotional and physical closeness but fears being pushed away at the same time AND I JUST
PROTECT THIS MAN AND HIS SOFT HEART AT ALL COST
HE DESERVES ALL THE LOVE IN THE WORLD HE’S SO PURE
I’m so in love with the thought of Viktor guarding the depth of his heart and at the same time he wants nothing else but to have someone take care of it for him with all the love and care they can muster so he can give them all his love in return
it just makes me remember this line
I think Viktor’s heart is just as fragile as Yuuri’s but in a completely different way, instead fueled by Viktor’s loneliness and longing for someone to stay close to that would never leave him
I’M SO GLAD YUURI WAS ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF VIKTOR JUST AS MUCH AS VIKTOR CARED FOR YUURI AND THAT THEY BOTH FOUND LOVE AND HAPPINESS WITH EACH OTHER IN THE END
How long do you think john held on to her when he found out she wasn't going to be the test subject? How long do you think it took for him to let go? What if she was still unconscious when they released him and he just guarded over her, refusing to let anyone near her? How long do you think he stood there, crushing her to his chest after she woke up as he breathed in the knowledge that she wasn't going to die. Not yet. Not this time.
