For the plot hook prompt! "The sky looks lovely this time of year"
It was a lovely day, that is if you considered roiling gunmetal clouds and green lightning to be lovely. Not many people did, but then again Sarlath wasn’t most people. This was a clear sign of a disaster, but the orc didn’t seem to mind; he wasn’t the cause, mind you, nor did he necessarily want the world to end, but since his whole clan was ruthlessly butchered by a party of adventurers he’d become rather apathetic to the whole thing.
But he had to admit that there was a kind of horrifying beauty to the sky, just one he couldn’t place.
Sarlath is in possession of the blade that the party who killed his people was after, the blade that can defeat the thing that’s causing the sky to be all ominous. He’d managed to kill the party who’d killed his people eventually, but not until they’d been worn down by the others. He now hoards their loot in the battle scarred settlement; a collection of decent quality weapons and magical items, and may be convinced to part with them given a good enough persuasion roll and, to lower the DC, a well RPed and thought out argument from the player.
