firstly, feel free to request more french masterposts. flirting in french; god, how i would love to be smooth in any language. seriously, if i could neal caffrey my way through france, that would be great. so, this is a masterpost on how to flirt in french. - i’d like to think this is pretty important - as this is part of socializing in any language. flirtation is a very different thing than “picking up.” picking up is a kind of hunting game with a very pointed and invariable goal: to be making out as soon as possible! think barney from how i met your mother challenge accepted. flirtation, at least in france, is a totally different thing. it’s a different culture, a different lifestyle. it’s a way of being in everyday life, and unlike picking up, it has no defined goal. sometimes the french flirt because it’s just delightful to do so. think salt to pepper relationship. allowing each one to check, and at different levels, if he or she still has some charm operating.
i would say that simple is always best: merely walk up to your chosen girl or guy and say je vous trouve absolument charmante (I find you absolutely charming / beautiful. be classy and to the point. with that and mind, read on!
let’s learn some classic phrases to become a regular femme fatale, shall we?
so; why flirt in french?
well, french is a sexy language. not going to lie.
it’s the planet’s most-hyped language of love.
reaching that level of fluency feels amazing.
it gives you that confidence. social confidence.
becoming a smooth talker feels nice. i want to be one, anyway.
tired of searching for love in english?
french learning and french flirting
let’s face it: in france, (or in any country for that matter), nobody speaks like a textbook, the president, or a language learning site (i’m looking at you, duolingo). it’s great for memorizing the fundamentals, but lacks that extra step that stands between you and complete fluency.
flirting is part of socializing - and linguistically (i don’t know, it helped with me) it improves retention. it’s also just interesting to learn!
flirting is just well.. fun. even if it doesn’t go anywhere.
a bit of verbal charm isn’t always necessary : but in my opinion, it helps you sound more natural / at ease / friendly.
i somewhat lack verbal charm (i’m very, very awkward in social situations) so i probably need this masterpost as much as anyone else (:
the classics: make love last. this is based upon what i’ve heard at school / restaurants / bars. okay fine: it’s based on the movies i’ve watched too.
j’ai envie de t’embrasser / embrasse-moi - kiss me.. annouce it - make your intentions known! ‘i’d like to kiss you’ - okay, you could just kiss someone instead of letting them know. but i don’t know.. there’s something romantic about it? best with a longing, meaningful stare.
je t’aime: i’m pretty sure we all know this one. best with someone you care deeply for, i wouldn’t say this on a first date - but if you’re the direct type : this can help you get from a to z pretty quickly.
the simple compliments: short and sweet using these with a flirty look / tone of voice (as i’ve seen amongst my friends) can do wonders. play with your expression while practicing these: it makes a difference, trust me. you can begin with (oh putain) to make it sound authentic. it’s not (really) a ‘swear word’ and people use it often. best used in an informal setting. example: putain, t’es toujours canon toi ou quoi?
you can also add trop ( = too). example: trop belle, trop mignon(ne). you can also add tellement ( = so) example: t’es tellement belle! you can also add si ( = so) example: t’es si mignonne. you can also use grave ( = totally) example: t’es grave belle.
t’es belle (/beau), toi.
t’es canon. ( = you’re smoking hot).
t’es con(ne). ( = you’re an idiot) - i’ve seen this used a lot flirtatiously.
t’es drôle. ( = you’re funny)
t'es coquin / coquine! ( = you’re such a tease.)
the ‘social and the flirty’ inspired by my class facebook chat and group. some of them are direct quotes (: these can be used as compliments / or flirtatiously. depends on your relationship with the person you’re giving them to.
cette beauté chaton, tu m’ éblouie. ( = you dazzle me with your beauty.)
une beauté divine. ( = a divine beauty or: you’re so divine.)
ouloulouloulouloulou. ( = you really have to hear this one.)
tu brilles de mille feux.
j'te pécho. ( = like the equivalent of ‘to pick up someone’ in english).
bg, or beau / belle gosse ( = hot guy, hot girl).
une petite merveille. ( = a wonder, someone to be marveled at).
une bombe. ( = bombshell, someone pretty - same thing as ‘belle gosse’.)
le petit côté mystérieux femme fatale je kiffe. - je kiffe means i like.
la beauté à l état pur ( = beauty at its purest form).
dingue! ( = crazy, as in crazy beautiful).
j'ai pas les mots.( = i have no words).
wahhh, la classe! ( = classy!)
c’est fou, tant de beauté ( = you’re so beautiful, it’s crazy.)
flirting at a bar or restaurant?
t’as d’beaux yeux, tu sais? the phrase ‘you’ve got beautiful eyes’ pretty much works in any language (though, i think it sounds extra gorgeous in french). the phrase actually comes from a french film called le quai des brumes. fair warning: this is an extreme cliché, : it’s basically the english equivalent of do you come here often? it can be said ironically, if you’re not the cliché type. best with a wink and a devilish smile (;
je peux t’offrir / vous (formal) une verre ? : can i buy you a drink?
vous êtes célibataire ? mais comment est-ce possible ? - you’re single? but how’s that possible?
vous venez souvent ici ? - do you come here often? ha, classic. a phrase that transcends cultural barriers: “ the sentence could be followed up by complaints — about the bartender, about the clients or about how the bar isn’t as good as it used to be. a french tradition is râler, a sort of complaining. finding things to complain about is a way that many french people choose to bond with new acquaintances. this is not true of anyone.
t’as une miette (you’ve got a crumb) as you pretend to stroke something off of someone’s face, first with your fingers, then with your lips.
tu m’excites ! ( = you turn me on.)
“j’ai une première édition de ‘à la recherche du temps perdu.’ tu veux le voir ?” - i have the first edition of “in search of lost time. (written by proust). do you want to see it?” in france (for me, at least) cultural knowledge is sexy. in America, we often ask if you’d like a nightcap. choose something cultural and intellectual in france, and you’re far more likely to get a oui.
je veux te revoir. ( = i want to see you again.)
alors, ça roule? ( = how you doin’ - joey, friends.)
excuse-moi. est-ce que t’embrasses les inconnus ? non ? donc, je me présente. excuse me, do you kiss strangers? No? then let me introduce myself.
excuse-moi, j'ai perdu mon numero de téléphone. est-ce que je peux t'emprunter le tien?“ excuse me, i seem to have lost my phone number. could I borrow yours?
let me know if you’d like to know more! you can never be too charming (:

Nitya here! I’ve had this blog for 900 years and some of you guys have seen me through one direction, years of regret superwholock, marvel and dc, the 100, sense8, star trek, star wars, and my final form: kpop. the best part of this has been seeing all my old favs also turn into kpop trash blogs how we’ve stayed together for so long through all this. anyway here’s me being gross and loving my mutuals (long post ahead)
“Despicable me” it’s a one of cartoon from my childhood, and I really love this story! (except “Minions”, because I sure they look funny when they don’t have their own cartoon). When I was 13 y.o, I associated myself with Margo, because she is peaceful, serious and have a glasses. Now I definitely looks like Lucy, because I’m so noizy, a little bit weird and have a ginger hair with big nose 🌸
With my little sis we created today this cosplay test!
What do you think about a new part of “Despicable me”?
8 Reasons to Watch: Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo
Im so sad that this k-drama ended and so in love with it that i needed to make a 8 reasons to watch post. First things first, sorry for any english mistakes. Hope you enjoy this post! :)
There are some spoilers in this post, especially in item #3, but nothing too revealing.
1. The Main character
When you see a strong female character in a k-drama, she’s often faking her personality or just being rude. Kim Bok Joo is a strong character and she’s still a human being. She lifts wheight, dedicating herself and putting her strenght on it and then she goes home to have fun and drink with her best friends. The main character show us that you can be strong and empowered and still live normally. That’s why we like her so much: she’s a female symbol of strength and still a young women who wants to enjoy her life and have some fun.
2. The swag couple
This is one of the cutest couples I’ve ever seen. In the end of the drama you’ll just be thinking “Omg, I wish I had a relationship like this!”. Bok Joo and Joon Hyung discover their first love in the peak of their lives, when they can do anything, like Bok Joo said in the last episode. That’s what makes this couple so special: their relationship is full of love, youth and affection.
3. Portrays Serious Issues
When I got to know the girls from Rythmic Gymnastics, I got really sad. They had to private themselves from eating in order to achieve perfection. Look at that: Song Si Ho even developed eating disorders. The scene which some girls break a scale in the middle of the night might seem fun to some, but to me it was really sad. We need to give more attention to Song Si Ho: to me, she’s one of the best characters in this drama.
4. It makes you laugh
Sun Ok, Nan Hee and Bok Joo = FRIENDSHIP GOALS! I died watching their moments together, not to mention the question “Do you like Messi?” who make me laugh loud. This drama is surrounded by funny scenes (like when they go to the amusement park) and the sound effects in the background, like the guy saying WHAT? just make them even funnier, don’t ask me why.
5. And even cry!
The whole thing with Joon Hyung and his mom are so sad. Family bonds make a great presence in this drama: you most certainly will get emotional seeing how much Joon Hyung’s uncles and Book Joo’s father try hard to provide everything to their children.
6. Lovely soundtrack
Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo doesn’t have a big soundtrack, but it’s lovely and pleasing to listen from the first song to the last. The theme to all songs is “First Love”, and they’re going to make you remember the main couple’s sweet moments together. My favorite song is From Now On! What’s yours?
7. Amazing cast
This drama’s cast is amazing! They are not only good actors: they had lots of fun recording Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo and became close to each other. Nam Joo Hyuk even said he want’s to play a main couple with Lee Sung Kyung again! Isn’t that cute?
8. It is unique.
Weightlifting Kim Bok Joo is not only about love: it shows us the power of true friendship, working hard to achieve your goals in life and a family who always tries to keep you happy. You’ll end this drama missing all the characters, and I’m not even kidding. This drama also teaches us that we need to enjoy our youth, the most beautiful phase of our lives. Kim Bok Joo is a young girl, and she’s just like us in various points. That’s the story portrayed in this k-drama: a young life, lived with lots of swag.

I didn’t really get a chance to specify that in the story, but that’s really all I could think of. I haven’t written anything in a while, so I hope you guys like it. Let me know what you think! ♥

It was Sam’s birthday, and you decided last minute to make him a cake - from scratch. You had never baked anything that didn’t come in a box with specific instructions, so you were nervous it would come out horrible. Sam wasn’t one for sweets anyway, but everyone deserved a treat on their birthday, and he was going to eat it if you had to force it down his throat.

“There’s no way you can get him to do something like that,” Sam told me.
“You wanna bet?” I replied.
“A hundred dollars says you can’t,” he returned.
“You got yourself a bet buddy boy,” I said laughing. “But you can’t interfere on how I do it.”
“Ok. It’s a deal.”
Later on that evening…
“OK Sam It’s your turn. Truth or dare,” Dean said.
“Truth because I don’t trust you,” Sam said laughing.
I joined in laughing because Sam was smart to not trust his brother. Dean had already had me doing two extremely crazy dares.
“Ok, what’s your most secret sexual desire?” Dean asked him.
“Well hell. Maybe I should have taken the dare,” he said as he took another long drink from his glass. “Deepest sexual desire? I don’t know that I have one but it might be cool to let a woman tie me up and I just lay there.”
“Wow dude,” Dean replied. “That may have been a little TMI.”
“What the fuck Dean? That was your question.”
That got us all laughing again. As soon as we had ourselves back under control, we continued playing. Finally I thought the time was right.
“Ok Dean. It’s your turn and it’s on me this time,” I told him.
“Give me your best shot sweetheart.”
“Truth or dare?”
“From you? I am going with dare. Let’s see what you got.”
“Tomorrow, when all the hunters get here for the meeting, you have to join us in a wife beater, flip flops, maybe a pair of cutoff shorts, and … you have to walk in carrying Fluffy!”
“Are you kidding me?”
“Nope. You asked for dare and that’s the dare. Take it or give up.”
“I never give up. I’ll do it.”
I looked over at Sam and smirked. This was going to be the easiest hundred dollars I ever made!
The next day…
Everyone was gathered around in the war room. A few people had already been asking where Dean was. Sam and I both told them all that he would be there soon. Sam and I were in a corner and he was telling me he didn’t think his brother would follow through.
To both of our surprise, Dean walked in just as I had dared him. The laughter and comments floating around the room were hilarious. To make it even better, Dean had carried the dare even a little further. His cutoffs were so short and the front pockets were just hanging out there. He had a pair of shades on and it looked like he was sipping some kind of iced coffee!
I was dying with laughter. I watched through the tears streaming down my face as he just sauntered into the middle of the room, sucking through his straw. I glanced around for Sam and found him literally on the ground, gripping his stomach, laughing so hard.
Dean stopped in the middle of the group and just kind of looked at everyone. I could see the tiniest of smiles there and I knew he was trying to stop his own laughter.
“What’s so funny?” he asked everyone. “Dudes, come on. It’s hot outside!”
Note: Here it is. Hope you like it!! Also, I wanted to say that I don’t know if Jordan (the actor that is portraying Ubbe) has a sister. But in this fiction he does… And sorry if there are grammatical errors, English is not my first language. Kisses.
Words: 924 (The next chapter will be longer, I promise!)
You stretched out your hand to reach the book on the shell that was in front of you, but, realizing it was too high for you to reach, you put your hand back down in defeat.
‘’Excuse me, could you get that book for me please?’’ you asked the guy that worked there. He nodded and easily did what you asked him to do. ‘’The perks of being tall.’’ you said to yourself, but he heard it, and gave you a shy smile. In that moment you realized how cute he was. Nerdy, but cute.
You were about to say something, but your phone started ringing. You took it from your purse, extremely annoyed by the situation, and answered.
‘’The person you tried to reach is not available at the moment. Please, call back again later, when she will be done flirting with a cute nerdy guy.’’ you said, imitating the voice mail girl. ‘’Hiiii Jordan!!! How are you big bro? Haven’t seen you in a while. I’ve missed you so much!! We should meet. Where are you now?’’ he said with a funny imitation of your voice. ‘’I’m good sis, thanks for asking. I’ve missed you too, and guess what? I’m in Burger King with Sophie and a friend, you should come.’’ he said now with his voice, and you couldn’t help but smile at his words. What an idiot. ‘’JP, you got me at Burger King. Be there in five.’’
In that moment you realized the cute guy was gone. But you easily got over it, since you were thinking about a large pizza that you will be eating in less than 20 minutes. Also, you really did miss Jordan, and you couldn’t wait to see your big brother again after a month of being apart. You left the book shop running towards Burger King.
As soon as you got into the building, your eyes started searching for a familiar face. Bingo! You saw them sitting at the table in a row next to the window. Sophie was the one who saw you walking towards them and she was about to say something, but you gestured her to keep quiet. You wanted to scare Jordan, and he made it easy for you since him and his friend were sitting with their back turned to the door. You came closer to Jordan and leaned down to whisper in his ear‘’Why is your girlfriend sitting alone?’’. The way he jumped from his seat made you all laugh. Jordan put his hand on his chest while letting out a huge amount of air ‘’Laugh all you want, I will get revenge for this.’’. ‘’Good to see you too JP’’ you said while giving him a hug. He was trying to stay mad at you, but failed. Instead, he put his arms around you and said ‘’Welcome home little one.’’. He kissed your temple, and then pointed his hand to the chair next to Sophie ‘’She will not be sitting alone, because you will be sitting next to her.’’-I figured that one out. ‘’Well, good for you. Smartass.’’ He said, and you got your tongue out in response.
‘’You two are worse than little kids.’’ Sophie said still laughing, meanwhile you made yourself comfortable next to her. ‘’I missed you too Soph.’’and she smiled, hugging you in response.
The friend who was with them, you recognized as the guy that works with them. Alex was his name, wasn’t it? You remembered JP talked about him once. He was your age, and he was a goofball, just like you. He also said that besides acting he is interested in photography too, and that he is quite good at it.
‘’You’re Alex, right?’’ you asked the blue eyed man in front you. ‘’The one and only.’’ he said with a friendly smile. He seemed nice, so you started talking with him to get to know him better. You haven’t been on the set of Vikings, so you really haven’t had a chance to meet anyone other than Sophie from the show. Alex was really friendly and outgoing. You liked him. He also asked some questions about you, and sometimes you answered, sometimes Jordan liked to do that himself, at the same time making fun of you. In the meantime you got your large diavolo pizza, so now you were eating and enjoying the company of these three mundanes.
‘’Alex, I have a really important question for you.’’ you said with a serious tone. Everybody turned their head into your direction, Jordan with his eyebrow raised, waiting for you to ask him what you wanted to.
‘’What is your favourite pizza?’’. There was a moment of silence, then everybody started laughing. ‘’Why did I even think she was going to say something really important?’’ Jordan said. ‘’Shut your mouth, he didn’t give me an answer.’’ you were looking at Alex, whom made a face like he was thinking about what you said. ‘’I don’t really have a favourite pizza. I love them all. And I eat a lot too.’’ he said. Again, a moment of silence. They were all waiting for you to say something.
‘’JP, this one’s a keeper.’’ you said with a smile. Jordan just laughed in response. You locked your eyes with Alex, who was looking at you with a wide smile on his face, and you realized how you wanted him to never stop looking at you like that. But that thought vanished as Jordan asked ‘’Y/n, where were you before when I called you?’’
Real quick- although many of the characters singing these songs ARE the type I’ve connected them to, that’s not the case for all of them.
Oh, and I’ve made it past the 500 follower mark! You guys are the best!
ISTJ- “Let It Go” from Frozen
Most ISTJ Line- “Don’t let them in / Don’t let them see / Be the good girl you always have to be”
How awesome is it that probably the most unfairly maligned type can lay claim to Disney’s modern anthem? Elsa embodies the ISTJ and so does her power ballad; she sings of being haunted by her past (dominant Si), and being forced to conceal her feelings (tertiary Fi). And although she declares herself to be free, Elsa, like many ISTJs, continues to struggle with the expectations of her family and kingdom. “Let It Go” is a powerful look into the most personal thoughts of a private person’s life, and should be a reminder never to judge too quickly.
ISFJ- “Beauty and the Beast” from Beauty and the Beast
Most ISFJ Line- “Both a little scared / Neither one prepared / Beauty and the Beast”
Simple, elegant, and romantic, “Beauty and the Beast” captures the love and affection that ISFJs strive for in their lives. Although falling in love might have been done millions of times in the past (dominant Si), that doesn’t make it any less magical for Belle and Beast (auxiliary Fe). Even if Belle weren’t an ISFJ, the song would still perfectly suit such a quietly sophisticated type.
INFJ- “Friends on the Other Side” from The Princess and the Frog
Most INFJ Line- “I can read your future / I can change it ‘round some, too”
I want to establish now that songs sung by antagonists aren’t meant to vilify the types I’ve attached them to. INFJs are often considered to be almost supernatural, and while I don’t think such claims carry much weight, the type often can come across as being a bit otherworldly (dominant Ni). Similar to Doctor Facilier (who, to be clear, is NOT this type), INFJs can be rather charming (auxiliary Fe and inferior Se) and are quite adept at manipulating people should they choose to do so.
INTJ- “Be Prepared” from The Lion King
Most INTJ Line- “So prepare for the coup of the century / Be prepared for the murkiest scam”
Scar is all about long term planning- something that the INTJ will find greatly relatable (dominant Ni). “Be Prepared” is an ode to the relentless pursuit of power, even if that means killing a brother and an innocent child like Simba (auxiliary Te). This isn’t to say that every INTJ is misdirected or evil, but rather that each will do whatever suits their personal morals and experiences (tertiary Fi). Scar’s morals just so happen to accommodate fratricide.
ISTP- “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” from Mulan
Most ISTP Line: “We must be swift as a coursing river / With all the force of a great typhoon”
This song reeks of physicality, which is well suited to the action oriented ISTP (auxiliary Se). Mulan, an ISTP, strives to find her place in the army because it works with her overarching plan to protect her father (tertiary Ni and inferior Fe). Ultimately, her ingenuity allows her to surpass all of her peers and retrieve the arrow at the top of the pole (dominant Ti), proving that the ISTP can do whatever they set their mind to.
ISFP- “Colors of the Wind” from Pocahontas
Most ISFP Line- “Come roll in all the riches all around you / And for once, never wonder what they’re worth”
“Colors of the Wind” is simultaneously spiritual and sensual, a combination that only an ISFP like Pocahontas can pull off. Aside from asking John Smith to appreciate the beauty of the world around him (auxiliary Se), Pocahontas also forces him to look inward and reevaluate his personal values (dominant Fi). “Colors of the Wind” was one of the easiest songs to determine for this list because it truly captures the spirit and ethereal quality of the ISFP.
INFP- “Reflection” from Mulan
Most INFP Line- “When will my reflection show / Who I am inside?”
Although people of every type ponder themselves and where they fit in the world, the INFP likely does so most of anyone. Mulan struggles to understand not only who she is (dominant Fi), but also how she can be herself and still uphold the honor of her family (tertiary Si). “Reflection” speaks to the search for an authentic identity that so many of us, but INFPs especially, find familiar.
INTP- “God Help the Outcasts” from The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Most INTP Line- “I thought we all were / The children of God”
First, I have to admit that I’ve never seen The Hunchback of Notre Dame- it’s the only movie on this list I have yet to watch (it’s on my Netflix queue though!). I also want to acknowledge that this might seem to be an unusual choice, because INTPs are often wrongly stereotyped as computer nerds with no social skills. Here’s my rationale. In this song, Esmerelda ponders the ways in which God operates (dominant Ti), and devotes her prayers to others (inferior Fe) amidst the splendor of an ancient church (tertiary Si). This song captures the complexity of the INTP’s mind and the generosity of its spirit. It is a raw and beautiful song that is unafraid to take on serious subject matter.
ESTP- “A Whole New World” from Aladdin
Most ESTP Line- “I can show you the world / Shining, shimmering, splendid”
*Swoon* Who wouldn’t want to be whisked away on a magic carpet ride? I imagine “A Whole New World” speaks particularly to the ESTP who has been long confined to a life of boredom and is eager to see what the world has to offer (dominant Se). The song is also incredibly romantic and has some, shall we say, sexual undertones that suit the type (tertiary Fe). Like the ESTP, Aladdin teaches us to be unafraid of the unknown and free ourselves, if only for a moment, from the monotony of everyday life.
ESFP- “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride” from Lilo & Stitch
Most ESFP Line- “There’s no place I’d rather be / Than on my surfboard out at sea”
Just as ISTJs and ESTJs are often unfairly labelled as boring, the ESFP is often stereotyped as a shallow and fickle type. “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride” reflects the truth about the type- that with a little bit of daily adventure (dominant Se), the ESFP is perfectly happy devoting itself to family and friends (auxiliary Fi). This devotion to family is a theme that runs throughout Lilo & Stitch, and it underscores the real nature of the ESFP.
ENFP- “Friend Like Me” from Aladdin
Most ENFP Line- “I’m in the mood to help you, dude / You ain’t never had a friend like me”
Anybody with an ENFP friend can attest to the fact that said person is probably in a league of their own. Quirky, quick-witted, and funny (much like Genie), the type will always keep you on your toes (dominant Ne). What makes the ENFP so great, however, is that they also make loyal friends who will stick by your side through and through (auxiliary Fi and inferior Si). They’ll keep you laughing and they’ll stay loyal to you forever; what more could you ask for in a friend?
ENTP- “Pink Elephants on Parade” from Dumbo
Most ENTP Line: “Pink elephants on parade / What’ll I do? What’ll I do? / What an unusual view!”
This song is TRIPPY. But let’s face it, the ENTP, even those who don’t imbibe in drugs or alcohol, has a very bizarre and wonderful quality that allows them to see the world from perspectives the rest of us could scarcely imagine (dominant Ne). The shapes and colors that play visually during this sequence are also sure to engage the intelligence and complexity of the ENTP’s mind (auxiliary Ti). Both the song and the type are very, very out there, but in the absolute best way possible.
ESTJ- “Heigh Ho” from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Most ESTJ Line- “To dig dig dig dig dig dig dig is what we really like to do / It ain’t no trick to get rich quick”
Although every type can claim both spectacularly hard working and shockingly lazy individuals, my guess is that most ESTJs are found in the former camp. Aside from being a classic (auxiliary Si), “Heigh Ho” is a testament to the fruits of laborious effort (dominant Te). Something else particularly appealing about this choice is the variety of the dwarfs who sing it; although all of them, like all ESTJs, are hard workers, there is also considerable variety amongst personalities in the group (tertiary Ne).
ESFJ- “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid
Most ESFJ Line- “I wanna be where the people are / I wanna see, wanna see them dancing”
Just like Ariel, for better or for worse, ESFJs feel a strong need to belong to some type of community (dominant Fe). In The Little Mermaid, Ariel puzzles (often incorrectly) over what the function of relics from the human world are meant for, all with the intention of extending herself into that society (inferior Ti and auxiliary Si). At its core, “Part of Your World” is beautiful and sweet, an embodiment of the ESFJ’s vivacious and determined nature. (Note: Ariel is not an ESFJ).
ENFJ- “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” from The Lion King
Most ENFJ Line- “I’m gonna be the main event / Like no king was before”
Much like the popular and respected ENFJ, Simba is keen to take his place atop the hierarchy of his kingdom. He’s a bit mischievous but extremely charming, something that can also be seen in most people with the type (tertiary Se and dominant Fe). Additionally, Simba doesn’t plan to rest on the traditions of his predecessors; he has a vision of the way he wants things to be and is unafraid to challenge the norms to reach that place (auxiliary Ni).
ENTJ- “Poor Unfortunate Souls” from The Little Mermaid
Most ENTJ Line: “Now it’s happened once or twice / Someone couldn’t pay the price / And I’m afraid I had to rake ‘em ‘cross the coals”
What a deliciously evil song. Though she may hide it with her sensuality (tertiary Se), Ursula is unafraid to use whatever methods she can to get achieve her ultimate goals (dominant Te and auxiliary Ni). What’s awesome about this song is that though it might be sinister and manipulative, it’s also undeniably fun; I have a feeling that, whether a villain or not, most ENTJs have a sneaky sense of humor that they pull out at the strangest times.
