Honestly Graystripe and Darkstripe have the best fucking sibling dynamic ever like especially when they're young. Just like Graypaw's showing little Firepaw around and he's like "Oh yeah that's my bro Darkstripe he's ugly." Like hhhhkjjfjg

doskfs i mean i wouldnt say BEST bc graystripe does end up killing darkstripe remember, but honeslty i wish their relation was planned ahead of time or at least by the second book so we could really see how they’d interact w/ one another honestly

but honestly….ur right, that first scene where we meet darkstriep is like the most realistic sibling introduction ever.

“thats my brother

“really???”

“yeah he’s ugly and smells”

“lmao yeah”

Sanvers, My Thoughts

Alex Danvers struck a cord with me from the very first episode. For me, Alex’s coming out arc in season 2 was like watching my life on the screen. I loved the story line, the relationship, the acting and the way Chyler and Florianna have embraced the community that I found myself a part of late in life.

I’ve been disappointed in TV before and it will no doubt happen again. What I’ve become slightly distressed about is the amount of negativity on social media. Does it suck? Absolutely! Should/Could the writers have done something else? Absolutely! As an actress would you leave for another project if you were given minuscule screen time as a series regular? Most Likely! Do I want Sanvers to continue on TV with one of the best relationships I’ve ever seen? You better F*ing believe it! Do I hope Supergirl gets a new show runner? Yep! Will I conintue watching Supergirl after episode 5? Yep! Why? Alex Danvers and the amazing human portraying her…Chyler Leigh.

Here’s my worry. Some have been so negative about the “sanversituation” that I worry it will push others to think about leaving the cast (Chyler in particular). She’s practically been Supergirl social media silent and then a post and video explaining that somethings are just out of the control of shows and productions. So in the final 3 episodes of Sanvers I hope to enjoy watching the chemistry between the two of them, enjoy the GIFs that all you wonderful people can produce and then cry my gay heart out! So to all you amazing fan fiction writers, thank you in advance for all of your amazing works that will let Sanvers live on!

Thanks for listening to my ramble. My girlfriend thinks I’m crazy since I’ve been obsessing over this since Florianna was not on the season 3 regular cast list. 🏳️‍🌈

Astrology: The Last Airbender

**That show is THE SHIT and if you haven’t seen it yet, you should before reading this post b/c spoilers

Aries: Toph- she’s confident (but also kind of insecure), impulsive, never backs down from a challenge, stubborn, selfish, and innovative (metalbending, hello?)

Taurus: Iroh- he’s a super chill dude, wise, comes off as lazy but is actually super competent, stands by his principles, and enjoys the sensual side of life

Gemini: Aang- he has issues with confrontation, is curious to a fault, addicted to pranks, uses deception/manipulation to resolve conflict (remember The Great Divide?) and is THE epitome of an evolved, self-realized gemini

Cancer: Appa the cabbage merchant- cries a lot, is really attached to his cabbages, just a super sad dude all around

Leo: Roku- (in his younger days) he was kind of a show off, maintained his honor and reputation while striving to do the right thing, was loyal to a fault (which is why he didn’t kill sozin when he should have) overall a good guy

Virgo: Sokka- he’s intelligent, analytical, self-critical, hard-working, gets anxious when he’s in the spotlight, and has a bit of an inferiority complex

Libra: Katara- she has a strong sense of justice, can easily see both sides of an issue (which is why she was the first to reach out to zuko), is both logical and romantic, and basically “balances” relationships in the group, holding everyone together

Scorpio: Zuko- the poster-child for Suffering™, constantly tries to reconcile his inner darkness with his natural propensity to be good, experienced pain, humiliation, and betrayel, but comes out of the ashes as a better person

Sagittarius: Ty Lee- literally just out here to have a good time; she’s a little flighty and unpredictable, comes off as silly/vapid though she’s actually pretty smart and a little scared deep down, and she will take impulsive risks when she has to (turning on Azula in season 3)

Capricorn: Azula- she’s cold, ruthless, cynical, efficient, and will use any means to accomplish her goals; she plays on people’s insecurities to manipulate them- Azual’s a great example of the darker expression of Capricorn

Aquarius: Suki- says “fuck you” to gender roles, is capable and independent, very unique but prides herself in belonging a group (the kyoshi warriors)

Pisces: Princess Yue- comes off as sweet, vulnerable, and otherworldly, but has unshakable principles and inner strength; not afraid to sacrifice herself for the greater good- Yue is one of the higher expressions of the Piscean martyr archetype

Today's Cartoons
  • Gravity Falls: Two Kids spending summer vacation with their weird uncle in a town where bizarre things happen with a big mystery. Also about trust, growing up with maturity rather than grow apart from family, always sticking by your friends through the roughest times.
  • Wander Over Yonder: An Optimistic alien who wants to help people across the galaxy. Also wants to make sure no one is ever helpless like he was and help villains rather than hurt or beat them just because they're bad.
  • Star vs. The Forces of Evil: A magical princess from another dimension fights evil with her best friend while having magical and fun adventures. Also shows the fear of the future, fear of growing up, and realistic crushes/relationships/love triangles and how to face them sensibly while growing as a person.
  • Steven Universe: A young boy being partially raised by aliens and has space related adventures while learning about his mother. Also about love and acceptance for everyone and character development that's relatable and real.
  • Voltron-Legendary Defender: A reboot of an 80's show that didn't have much to offer centering around five people who are chosen to defend the universe. Also about teamwork always works, everybody has each others backs, and helping anyone in need no matter how small they seem. Becoming more than just a team, they've become a family all while saving the universe from a former hero.
  • O.K K.O! Let's be Heroes: A boy wants to become a great hero like his friends and family and fight evildoers. Also explains that a hero's journey is long and hard but can be achieved by focus and discipline, while showing that everyone has different sides to them including dark ones and can grow everyday.
  • Society: They're just kids shows, people. 😑

Mark Sheppard:

“I wanted Demon Dean and Crowley to go on longer”

“Jensen is no squirrel but Jared does bear a resemblance to a moose”

“Crowley was family for the Winchesters. They never stopped calling him”

Do you know what breaks my heart the most?

Mark cared about the show, his character, the fans. But the writers didn’t, and they wasted one of the best actors they have ever seen.

Hope the King is better now. Hope he is loved, as he deserves.

remember when kilgrave whispered for jessica to tell him she loved him and she looked at trish and said i love you so trish would know she wasn’t controlled by him again but also bc sHE LOVED TRISH

Harry Styles Bridges Past and Present at Stirring Tour Kickoff Show

Outside San Francisco’s Masonic, a modest but modern venue nestled in the city’s upscale Nob Hill neighborhood, thousands of Harry Styles fans had spent hours – some, even days – waiting on the steep sidewalks. The mob would feel smaller inside the venue, during a show that was the most intimate many of them had ever seen the boy-band heartthrob play.

It was more than the screams that made Styles’ first official tour date as a solo artist feel like he was playing to a football stadium rather than a theater. At 23 years old and with only 10 songs to his name, Styles has the charm, presence and feistiness of a veteran rocker twice his age, strutting and strumming across the stage with a delicate power that makes him seem as accessible as he is otherworldly.

Styles and his carefully curated band took the stage Tuesday night after Muna, a California electro-pop trio that brought the house down with a one-two punch of Stevie Nicks’ “Edge of Seventeen” and their own “I Know a Place.” Lead singer Katie Gavin set the tone for the night, building upon the joyous mood of the crowd. “Harry has built his career, his essence, on kindness,” she earnestly said to deafening screams.

After a brief delay due to a fire alarm that dared to shut the whole night down, Styles finally made his grand entrance to a loop of the “Ever Since New York” harmonies, already intoxicating on his self-titled debut album but nearly hypnotic as the lights dimmed to reveal his guitar-holding silhouette on the pink and floral curtain that was hung after Muna left the stage. Here, we were introduced to Harry’s first persona of the night: folk troubadour. From “New York” on, he displayed his most tender, rootsy side, performing more album ballad cuts like “Two Ghosts” and “Sweet Creature” – the latter met with a sea of fan-made pink hearts that were held up throughout the song. Much earlier than anticipated, Styles reminded everyone exactly where he came from, offering a tender take on the anthemic One Direction fan favorite “Stockholm Syndrome.”

Following “Sweet Creature,” Styles disposed of his floral jacket – part of a matching, two-piece floral suit – and launched into Act II: raucous rocker. A Jagger-ian strut propelled his body across the stage during “Only Angel,” and he gyrated to the sexy “Woman.” During that same track, a fan threw a rainbow flag on stage, and in direct opposition to the song’s heteronormative storyline, he subversively twirled around with it before attaching it to his microphone where it remained for the rest of the main set.

By this point, Styles had completely loosened up, shedding the semi-serious (possibly even nervous) mode of his set’s first half. He began to perform a few covers, a twist that was as crowd-pleasing as it was brilliant. He first tackled “Just a Little Bit of Your Heart,” a piano ballad he co-wrote that Ariana Grande sung on her 2014 album My Everything. He turned Grande’s melodrama on its head, remaking the tearjerker as a down-and-dirty country-rock romp. He did the same with One Direction’s massive, unmistakable breakout hit “What Makes You Beautiful,” a bold choice for an artist setting out to forge his own path.

But Styles has proven time and time again that to be a successful solo artist, you don’t necessarily have to let go or even erase your past. As soon as “WMYB” ended, the band launched into the gritty, glammy “Kiwi” which got an even bigger rise from the crowd than the 1D classic did.

Once the song wrapped, Styles marched off the stage with the rainbow flag as the set was re-arranged and his jacket was revived for the “encore.” It was here that he unveiled his third act and his final persona: the subtle superstar. The show’s final 15 minutes featured a tight trio of tracks, beginning with “From the Dining Table,” a gorgeous, simple guitar tune featured only Styles and primary collaborator Mitch Rowland on guitar. Next, he launched into an incredible take on Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” as he celebrated and highlighted the talented quartet of musicians he culled together for his touring band. He could’ve ended the show with the classic cover and it would’ve felt completely natural, charming and on-brand, but of course he had an appropriately epic goodbye up his sleeve with “Sign of the Times,” the single that officially launched his solo career. Styles’ live version of the anthemic, Queen-inspired, nearly six-minute opus was stirring and triumphant as bright lights bathed him and his fans. The singer looked positively radiant as he shared in this moment, one that rightfully belonged to him, with every person in the room, whether physically present or being FaceTimed, Periscoped or live-texted in.

“You are the best friends any person could ever ask for,” he offered sincerely, much earlier in the night. Blurring the lines of fans and friends is not typical rock star behavior, but then again, Harry Styles isn’t shaping up to be your typical rock star.

I will never tire of remembering things I love about Leverage but my fave are these:

  1. Parker and Sophie’s dynamic : It honestly floored me how there was never a stereotypical or negative dynamic between these two. They were always supportive of each other, tried to understand each other, and honestly were a healthy friendship. Finding that without it being made into something outlier or strange is rare sometimes in shows, at least with this consistency.
  2. Alec Hardison and his importance to the team : Even though it was Nate who formed the team, it was Hardison who brought them together with a proper place to be, not just once. He is cool but also emotional when needs come, allowed to be nervous, allowed to have hobbies and be so much more than a ‘typical’ geek, especially a black man playing a tech whiz, could be stereotyped as. Alec is the one who buys a pub and brews his own beer, gets excited over lasers in cooking, complains about things people would do in certain situations like insane stakeouts. He isn’t a crusader, isn’t representative of any mission, and isn’t an ideal. A human character and a great one at it.
  3. Sophie Devereaux and identity issues: Right from the start we are told that Sophie has identity twists. She is not who she shows in terms of her official name or identity. But this doesn’t mean that she doesn’t show her character to her group. She is open about her fears and love but is allowed her secrets. When Nate asks for her name she says he has to earn it, which is such a wonderful moment because it shows the balance in their dynamics. Her name matters to her and her group respects it. Even when he proposes, Nate doesn’t use her real name because that is a secret but he is proposing to her and that is all that matters to both of them. It showed people and secrets and the importance of respecting those.
  4. Parker and romance + intimacy : Again, this is shown right from the first episode. While Eliot and Nate are baffled by her in the beginning, and even Sophie is, the show never once makes us think that Parker is 'abnormal’ for having intimacy or emotional issues. Instead it shows the others learning to communicate with her and building their own ways to connect with her while her growing to understand their communicative styles too. Especially when Hardison and Parker show prospects of dating, Hardison is shown to learn her thought process and he is happy to learn but it’s not seen as something absurd. Parker learns about Hardison’s likes too and they share their likes by being interested and genuinely liking in each other’s company. Parker is an orphan who has been through abusive foster homes and never once does the group call her out badly on it or make her feel uncomfortable for it.
  5. Nate’s alcoholism : The very first shot of the show is Nate getting a drink while a guy comes to offer him a job and manipulates him emotionally using his son’s death. Talk about a brilliant opening setting, because this is his entire history set within the first 5 minutes. Nate is an alcoholic and has deep trauma from his son’s death along with a lot of impulsive guilt inspired reactions. He is the leader of this group of cons. He is called out every single time he screws up but not mockingly about his past but more in frustration about his lack of taking help. There is an entire episode where a con is planned in a rehab centre and it backfires because Nate is shown to have a breakdown when he is withheld from alcohol. His issues are highlighted and he doesn’t get into a serious romantic relationship without understanding that he should work on them. Alcohol is not glorified here and being an alcoholic is not shown as mysterious or hot. He goes to frickin jail because he fails to get things under control and the show doesn’t shy out from that.
  6. Eliot and Cooking: How many times do you find this trope where a Manly Man™ guy loves cooking but still doesn’t get shown to be compromised from his role as a Hitter? Eliot is a guy who hits but he does not have anger issues. He does not seek violence. He does not like guns. He loves cooking and is serious about it. He is the guy who had issues with being a team in the first episode and he is also the guy who would do anything to protect his team. He’s the nurturer of this team who feeds them and is loyal to the core. His cooking has a past too and that rocks because he learnt it from someone he was supposed to target. It is his calming mechanism. This is a Hitter who would make a beautiful dish because he likes it and still beat someone if they hurt others. It’s not one or the other, it’s both.
  7. Maggie, Tara, and every woman who played a supporting cast: Maggie is the ex-wife of Nate who is NEVER shown to be jealous or weird around Sophie. She doesn’t get back together with Nate or regret things but she also deeply cares for him. She is successful, has her own principles, and also helps this group con for revenge when she wanted to. Tara is a Grifter who is brought in when Sophie takes a break. She is thought to be a replacement and everybody hates her at first because they miss Sophie but they grow to respect and like her for WHO SHE IS and not for how she fills Sophie’s role. It’s not a replacement, as they realize. It’s a change and she brings her own dynamic with it. There are so many more like Ana who helped Parker when she had a broken leg, every single female client they had, Peggy who became Parker’s first friend outside the group and was starkly different. This show never made every woman the same because *gasp* they are not.
  8. From hurt the bad to help the good: Usually this concept remains of hurting bad people and Leverage does do that. But the team grows and their motto shifts too. They grow from hurting bad people to helping the good and both go hand in hand for them. It’s not just about removing the problem but also about finding the solution for them.
  9. It’s Personal: The group has one of the best team dynamics I have ever seen and it’s not just because they work well together. It’s also because they work with and for each other too. Each person has had personal cases on the show and even when the team thinks twice on certain things, they respect that personal aspect. The show portrayed the idea of 'I might not think the same way you do or make the same choices but I understand why you make them and I respect you’ with beautiful ideas. Be it Parker with Luka and the orphans in Russia or Eliot and the horse job; the team gives each other the benefit of doubt and trust when needed.
  10. Platonic relationships: I cannot tell you how much I love the platonic relationships of this show. Be it the parents-wards bond of Nate+Sophie and the others or the Eliot-Hardison-Parker dynamic which I know many people see as Ot3 (highly possible); every platonic bond is valuable and no single character is graced higher.
  11. Plot: Last but not the least, the plot. It came a full circle. The show finished its plots and had continuity of arcs. They started because Nate pushed them to find compensation for the past and the show ended with Nate pushing them to find their resource for the future. Every single character came a full circle by the end and we see growth in them.

I honestly wish we had more episodes of this show but I am really happy that we got what we did. To Leverage - the show that told that good is not who you are but what you do and choose.

Honestly why do people not talk about Sense8 more??? It tackles so many many problems while being the most badass, most beautifully shot and edited tv show i have ever seen.

4 main characters that are POCs, a trans character played BY a trans character, a gay man who doesn’t have a tragic ending, the most badass Korean woman who is a) not a nerdy side character and b) can take down men twice her size, an african man who is not a side character, 2 gay relationship, an interracial relationship, and thats just about the main 8. Don’t even get me started on their individual stories and the side characters.

And all of this with the most interesting plot thats not just about some love triangle or some nonsense action scenes (i mean there are fight scenes that are the BOMB but they happen for a reason)

Its so amazing @netflix keep going with this show its so goddamn good 🙌🏼

Theo Raeken is one of the best characters on Teen Wolf.

Cody puts so much effort into playing him and he tried so many times to explain Theo, but people are like “he killed Scott” “he destroyed sciles” “he hit Lydia” and I want to say that just because you dislike the character’s personality, it doesn’t mean that it’s a bad one.

Cody Christian did a great job representing Theo and he received hate, because some people don’t get the difference between the character and the actor himself.

Look, I get why some people hate him, and I’m not saying it’s wrong. I’m not saying what he has done was good, because it wasn’t. But you should understand that Theo as a character is so well thought, has an awesome storyline and the actor played the role in a stunning way and it felt realistic. He brought the character to life and we can see his development, I think it’s one of the best developments ever.

So, please, instead of spread hate and talk shit about the character, try to think about it. Cody expressed in an incredible way what Theo felt. His lust for power, his hate, his desire for revenge. And finally his fear, his regret, his loneliness. How much he changed and how much he wants to help the pack, how much he wants redemption.

I feel like Theo Raeken is the best character on the show. But, you know, that’s just my opinion.

It’s the 15th somewhere in the world.

A big, enthusiastic happy second birthday to Undertale!!
I’m a latecomer to the fanbase, but I’ve been a devoted fan ever since I tumbled into the world of this fantastic game.
I was originally very reluctant to have anything to do with it, but slowly it started to draw me in and finally I caved… and had one of the best experiences with a game that I’ve ever had in my life so far.

The message, the characters, the music, the EMOTIONS… I’ve played many games that have resonated with me, made me cry, made me HAPPY, all these things, but Undertale is REALLY special.
Special enough that I wanted to show how much it touched my heart by adapting the whole thing into a graphic novel.
It is absolutely fantastic.
And I know that even after the Undertale graphic novel project is over, Undertale will always have a special place in my heart.

Thank you for creating this wonderful game, Toby. You changed my life, and changed it for the better!
Happy birthday, Undertale.
