To celebrate finally having some warm weather, here’s a photoset of some of my winter kirin sculptures. I switched to doing much more indoor sculpture photography recently because I had too many times climbing rocks or sliding in snow that I did actually drop and break sculptures so it became more trouble than it was worth. But I certainly do love outdoor photography!
All of these guys are one of a kind, polymer clay sculptures made by me. They are made from clay over a wire and foil frame, and painted in acrylic and then given goat or lamb fur for hair. Each is between 5 and 9 inches tall. These guys are from 2012-2014.
